About the new book,
I am sorry to tell you all that it is no longer possible to have a seamless connection between the old and new books as before.
One reason is that Long is really too tired. The double burden of mental and physical exhaustion is really a bit suffocating.
"Horror Radio" took more than a year to write, and then "He Comes from Hell" was launched seamlessly. "He Comes from Hell" survived the new book period, but died less than a week after it was put on the shelves.
I gritted my teeth and wrote the beginning of "Late Night Bookstore" that night and published it the next day. I remember that the editor was about to take his annual leave and had to go to the airport to catch a flight. Long begged me to help him publish the book first and then rush to the airport. I almost missed the flight.
At that time, all I could think about was proving myself again. Then, I struggled for two months on the new book deadline, and then I continued writing until now.
For more than three years, Long has not really had a rest. Occasionally, he took some personal leave, but it was because of special reasons and he really couldn't update on that day.
In fact, you can find that in the later stages of writing the book, Long asked for leave more frequently than before, because he was really too tired and couldn't hold on any longer.
I went for a physical check-up a while ago. I didn't have any major problems, but I had a few minor ones that needed to be treated.
Therefore, Long will need to rest for about a month to recover his body and mind, plus time to prepare for the new book, so the new book will probably be released in late October.
