He came to see me.

When Zhou Anran returned to the dormitory with four cups of milk tea, his mind was still in a daze.

She came out of the KTV early, and it was not yet nine o'clock. Bai Lingyun and Yu Xinyue had not returned yet, and Xie Jingyi was the only one in the dormitory.

Zhou Anran walked to Xie Jingyi and put the milk tea in his hand on her table: "I brought milk tea for you."

"Thank you, Ranran baby." Xie Jingyi put down the phone and opened the package. "Is this bottle of milk green tea for me?"

Zhou Anran nodded mechanically.

Xie Jingyi took the milk tea out of the bag and inserted a straw into it.

Zhou Anran also took out another cup, inserted a straw, and drank it. He didn't taste anything at first.

Xie Jingyi was the first to notice something was wrong. She glanced at the small sticker on Zhou Anran's cup and said "Huh" with a puzzled look on her face: "Ranran, you actually drank full sugar today? Don't you usually find it sweet even if you drink less sugar?"

Zhou Anran was several beats slow to notice the cloying sweet taste in his mouth. He looked down and realized that what he had just taken was the cup of oolong milk tea that he had bought for Bai Lingyun.

Xie Jingyi looked at her expression and guessed, "Did you take the wrong one?"

Zhou Anran: “…”

She nodded.

"What's wrong with you? You look completely absent-minded." Xie Jingyi asked her, "and the corners of your mouth are still curved. Did something good happen to you? Why are you suddenly treating us to milk tea?"

Zhou Anran bit the straw and said, "Nothing, it's just that I have a friend—"

She paused as she spoke.

Xie Jingyi had an expression of sudden enlightenment: "My friend is me, I understand, there really is something going on, right?"

Zhou Anran originally wanted to ask her opinion about what happened just now, but she didn't expect Xie Jingyi to be so perceptive, so she was too embarrassed to ask.

"No." She shook her head and made up an excuse, "My friend just told me a joke."

Xie Jingyi: "What's the joke?"

Zhou Anran was deeply impressed by a joke: "Why is Doraemon's world so dark?"

"Because it's pitch dark." Xie Jingyi looked disappointed, as if to say, "That's it?" "You're laughing so happily at such an old joke, or are you saying—"

She also paused, and her tone became gossipy again: "Or was this joke told to you by a friend of the opposite sex?"

Zhou Anran quickly denied: "No, my best friend told me."

Xie Jingyi didn't believe it: "Really?"

Zhou Anran: “…”

If Xie Jingyi asked her why she was so happy, she might have let on a little, but it was indeed Yan Xingqian who told her this joke first.

"really not."

"Alright." Xie Jingyi stared at her for two seconds. "For the sake of milk tea, I'll let you go today. If you really have any problems, you won't be able to hide it from us sooner or later."

Zhou Anran: “…Really not.”

"Oh, right." Xie Jingyi seemed to remember something, "Have you asked your new guy for me? Does he know how to play a musical instrument?"

Zhou Anran's mind has been in a mess since he met Chen Luobai, and he doesn't remember this incident at all.

"I'm sorry, I forgot to ask for you."
