Let Me Meet You

Chapter 22: It's okay if you don't like it

I had a good sleep without any dreams.

It rained lightly in the middle of the night, and stopped just before dawn. Occasionally, a condensed raindrop fell on the leaves, making a gentle sound.

Li Xuan actually woke up first, but he was still sleepy after a busy day yesterday, so he turned over and wanted to continue sleeping. When he moved his arm, he pressed down Sheng Min's quilt, which woke him up.

Sheng Min opened her eyes tiredly and looked at him. She had not slept for a few hours in total and was very sleepy. She was about to fall asleep. She was half asleep and half awake, and seemed to have forgotten something.

I closed my eyes for less than half a minute before I suddenly remembered something and sat up with a start: "Do I have to go to school for you this morning? What time?"

"It's still early..." Li Xuan was in deep sleep, and without thinking, he raised his hand to pull him. Sheng Min's pajamas had a loose collar, which tore off half of his shoulders. Li Xuan's fingertips happened to slide over his shoulders, and both of them woke up at once.

"That..." After talking about it, it was still a little different. The night seemed to have a layer of cover, covering up everything silently. Now that I woke up from a sleep, it was still somewhat awkward. Li Xuan paused and finished his words, "It's still early, I set the alarm clock, you continue to sleep."

Sheng Min pulled her clothes up silently. Li Xuan wondered if he should say something at this time, but he also felt that nothing he said would be right, so he raised his hand and scratched his hair.

"It's okay." Sheng Min spoke first, "It's your shoulder anyway."

"Your hand."

They had said this once before when they first met, but now the speaker was the other way around. After Li Xuan finished speaking, he felt like he was possessed by Yang Xu.

"That's not what I meant." Li Xuan said embarrassedly.

The more you describe it, the worse it gets.

"I know." Sheng Min nodded.

Li Xuan opened his mouth, but he really had nothing to say: "Okay, as long as you know what I mean. Then continue to sleep."

So they lay down again, but this time, no one fell asleep.

The breathing sound was particularly obvious in the quiet room. Li Xuan wanted to turn over and pretend to be asleep. Although Sheng Min beside him was breathing steadily and was obviously awake.

According to his usual character, he has never tortured himself like this. While pretending to sleep, Li Xuan thought about why he was pretending and what the point was. His back was stiff and painful, and he heard Sheng Min gently call him: "Li Xuan."

"What?"

"Your alarm went off."

Li Xuan then noticed the sound of the alarm, reached out to grab it from the bedside table and turned it off. He turned his head and glanced at Sheng Min.

"Get up now." Sheng Min lifted the quilt, "What do you want to eat in the morning?"

Li Xuan subconsciously avoided his gaze, but then raised it again when he felt it was too obvious. Sheng Min noticed his movements, but didn't say anything. He asked again, "What do you want to eat? There's porridge and bread in the refrigerator."

"Let's eat at school." Li Xuan also grabbed his clothes and went to the bathroom to change, "Our school's breakfast is pretty good."

It had rained and the road was wet. They went out early and there were not many pedestrians. There were only a few sanitation workers on the side of the road sweeping up the locust flowers that had been knocked down by the rain.

The two didn't talk along the way. Sheng Min was not familiar with the roads in the university town, so he gave the car keys to Li Xuan before leaving.

Li Xuan didn't drive often after getting his driver's license, so his driving skills were OK. He could still be distracted, so he pretended to glance at the passenger seat casually, and saw Sheng Min seemed to have opened a shopping app to choose a bed. He frowned, suspecting that he had seen it wrong, but when he stopped the car at the red light at the intersection, Sheng Min directly handed the phone to him: "Which one do you think is better?"

Li Xuan pointed at the steering wheel: "I said I don't mind."

"I know you don't mind." Sheng Min said calmly, "I feel awkward."

"Why are you feeling awkward?" Li Xuan felt inexplicably unhappy.

"Your back is stiff because of me twisting it." Sheng Min looked at him, "You almost walked backwards when you went to the bathroom this morning."

Li Xuan was stunned for a moment, and the red light turned green at this time.

"Let's go." Sheng Min said.

After passing the traffic light, there was an overpass in front. Li Xuan turned on the left turn signal and drove up. He said in a somewhat stiff tone: "What I said last night was the truth. It's just that this thing needs some time to get used to. It doesn't matter what else. You just like men, and you are also a man. Am I afraid that you will touch me in the middle of the night?"

Sheng Min was silent for a while, and when Li Xuan thought he would not respond, he suddenly asked in a low voice: "Are you really not afraid?"

"What's true?" Li Xuan came back to his senses and smiled, "What a joke, as long as you are gay and not abnormal, you won't fall in love with every man you see."

"We've seen each other for a long time." Sheng Min looked straight ahead and said softly, "Besides, it's okay if you don't like it."

Li Xuan looked at him twice, looked away and remained silent. After driving a little further, he suddenly stopped the car on the side of the road.

"Are we there yet?" Sheng Min looked out the window.

Li Xuan didn't answer. The next second, he suddenly unbuckled his seat belt and leaned over.

"What are you doing?" Sheng Min subconsciously frowned and stepped back. Li Xuan got closer and closer, and Sheng Min's back was against the car door. He finally said, "Touch me. If you really want to touch me, you don't have to wait until midnight. You can do it during the day. In our current situation, it's hard to say who will take advantage of whom."

Sheng Min was stunned, suspecting that she had heard it wrong, and looked at him in shock.

Li Xuan looked at him indifferently.

Sheng Min's Adam's apple moved slightly: "No, I..."

"Do you want to touch it or not? Hurry up."

Li Xuan's tone was calm, and his warm breath fell on his collarbone. Sheng Min really found it difficult to adapt to his unconventional rhythm, so he reached out and pushed him: "Sit back."

"You're not pretending anymore?" Li Xuan saw his ears quickly turn red again and sneered, "You're so timid and shameless, and you still want to scare people with this kind of thing?"

He still had a faint scent of figs on him. When Sheng Min saw him step away, she sat up straight, exhaled, and said nothing.

"You've been thinking about it all morning, right?" Li Xuan raised his eyebrows. "You think I was trying to comfort you yesterday, and I got carried away and lied to you that everything was fine, but in fact I was upset to death, and you still had to cooperate and say you believed me?"

Sheng Min pursed her lips. Li Xuan leaned his elbow against the car window and said lazily, "I felt a little awkward this morning because I touched you and I was worried that you would feel uncomfortable. You might as well have said that you were afraid that I would touch you in the middle of the night."

Hearing this, Sheng Min suddenly remembered that Li Xuan was so close to him just now, and he was indeed very careful not to touch him. If it had happened two days ago, he would probably have touched him directly.

I felt something indescribable in my heart, and I quickly glanced at him. Li Xuan said calmly, "I have a very short patience. This matter ends here, and I will not explain it to you for the third time. But if you want to buy a bed, just buy it. I will take a look at the first one. It will be difficult to put it in your study if it is too big. Tell me if you are a fake person. Last night you insisted that I didn't mind what you mind."

Sheng Min felt like laughing for some reason, and smiled silently with his head down; "I thought you didn't see it, but you still picked it out."

He leaned back in his chair, as if the string that had been stretched all morning had suddenly loosened. He paused and said softly, "Thank you."

"You have to thank me for this too. Aren't you tired?" Li Xuan yawned lazily. "It's your personal matter. It doesn't matter whether others accept it or not. You don't have to thank me for accepting it. If others can't accept it, you don't have to care. But if someone talks about you about this kind of thing, you can scold them back if you don't like it."

"Will you curse back?"

"As long as you don't have a hole in your head like your agent, you won't be in my sight. Do you think I care what others say?" Li Xuan turned his head away. "But this doesn't apply to you. You care."

Sheng Min lowered his eyes and smiled for a while: "Li Xuan."

"What?"

"You seem quite different from when I first met you."

"How could you have figured it all out?" Li Xuan snorted, and then he heard Sheng Min add, "I didn't say so much at the time."

Li Xuan frowned: "You want to fight."

Sheng Min smiled and his shoulders shrugged slightly.

"Just laugh. Just stop thinking about it." Li Xuan opened the car door.

"where did you go?"

"We're here, get off the car." Li Xuan leaned forward to take the mask and hat, "Do you think I can stop on the main road and chat with you?"

Li Xuan parked his car in an open space in front of the gymnasium. After passing through the back door of the gymnasium and crossing the road, he saw the gate of N University opposite.

After all, it is one of the most famous universities in the country with a long history. Although the university town is a new campus, many old trees have been transplanted. In summer, the trees are lush and green, with branches and leaves covering half of the sun. Walking under the tree-lined path, it is still a little cool.

"Are you studying here?" Sheng Min followed him in and couldn't help but ask.

"I'm teaching here." Li Xuan said angrily, "Put away the disbelief on your face."

"I don't believe it." Sheng Min whispered, feeling guilty. He didn't know much about domestic universities, but he had always heard of N University. He could see that Li Xuan was very smart, but Sheng Min's perception of a good student was not like him.

"What's your major?" Sheng Min changed the subject, thinking of him typing code in the study all day, "Computer science?"

"physics."

Sheng Min was a little surprised. Li Xuan didn't explain much and they had already arrived at the cafeteria while talking.

"Would you like some soup dumplings?"

"Ah?" He changed the subject so quickly that Sheng Min was stunned. "It's all right."

"Let's go to the second floor." Li Xuan pulled up his mask and walked in.

I was not feeling well the past few days, so I haven't updated. I haven't abandoned the article.
