Xia Ji stood in the ice and snow, panting.
Leiyin Temple has two major mountain-suppressing profound formations. This is the temple's continued trump card. Such a trump card was never set up by one person, but it was continuously broken by one person.
Anyone with such an achievement would be proud and proud of himself, but Xia Ji was not.
There was a voice in his heart that said, "This is the limit of human beings. The Mysterious Formation was not set up for individuals. If you can defeat the Demon Suppressing Formation and the Arhat Formation from the front, you are already strong enough."
But he quickly put the sound out of his mind, looked at the scattered lights, and sighed again in the snow.
This is not a great victory. Maybe when outsiders know about him, they will praise him, fear him, and fear him, which will make his reputation in this land even higher. It is different from the previous "repelling the frost giants and defending the emperor" City", and then associated it with those "cruel and cruel things, killing innocent people", making him a dark legend.
But... so what
Is he doing it for fame
no.
Is it for profit
Maybe.
But no matter what, he was still bound to this limit. His eyes were blurry, the snow was falling, and his fate was suppressed. He didn't change much.
Xia Ji glanced around and saw that most of Leiyin Temple was in ruins.
Ruins of ruins, blood, fire, and fallen plaques are everywhere.
There are many houses and small Zen temples outside the second gate, and there are many monks and Zen masters among them. These people are tiptoeing, preparing to escape, but they have just taken a few steps towards the mountain gate when the prince's voice comes from the wind:
"Those who leave without permission will die."
Only then did the monks stop. They did not dare to disobey in the slightest, so they held their breath and heartbeats and silently prayed to their Buddha, praying that the devil would not die a good death and that they could survive tonight.
Xia Ji then sat down cross-legged, regained the time for two sticks of incense, and then stood up after blowing away the snowflakes covering his body.
Almost everything inside the second gate of Leiyin Temple has collapsed and the Buddha statues are cracked, but only the three ancient Buddha statues in the main hall are still standing.
He cast his gaze over. The gold plating on the three ancient Buddhas had been scraped off, revealing a black mottled foundation. Their faces were blurry, but Xia Ji could vaguely distinguish the three Buddhas Tathagata, Lantern, and Maitreya. This was just right. Corresponding to the three-part inheritance of Leiyin Temple from ancient times, the spirit of these three generations of Buddhist Zen has been implemented into all the techniques, magical weapons, and mysterious formations of Leiyin Temple.
Although there were hundreds of Buddha statues before, this time they suffered a disaster, and only these three remained.
Xia Jiruo felt something and walked towards the three Buddha statues.
In the empty ruins, apart from the sound of wind and snow, there was only the sound of footsteps. The monks hiding in the distance could not help but tremble and tremble as the footsteps approached.
Finally, Xia Ji walked to the three Buddha statues.
After a brief experience, a spiritual resonance suddenly emerged.
So, he followed his heart and sat in front of the three Buddha statues. Each of the Buddha statues made a handprint, and he also made one, putting aside distracting thoughts and carefully experiencing the resonance at this time.
With this pinch, he seemed to merge with the three Buddha statues, and gradually entered a mysterious world.
The surrounding scene changes.
No more heavy snowfall.
No more ruins.
But a small monastery at midnight.
Suddenly there was a sound at the Zenyuan door.
The door opened, and an old monk knelt down, clasped his hands, and said respectfully: "Master, please teach me the Dharma. May I ask you what is the true nature of a person's mind?"
Xia Ji felt that he was being pulled, but he did not resist. Then he heard himself whisper: "If you don't see a dharma, you can't see it. It's like floating clouds covering the sun. If you don't know how to keep a dharma in the sky, it's like lightning coming from the void."
The old monk stopped uttering this verse, thought for a moment, and then said with a suddenly enlightened expression, "Thank you, Teacher."
The screen changes again.
The Zen Temple disappeared at midnight, but a temple space under a sunny sky appeared again.
Boom, boom, boom! !
The melodious ringing of bells resounded throughout the temple.
The curtain was opened, and a monk came in salute and said sincerely: "The disciples have all sat down and want to listen to the master's teachings."
Xia Ji heard himself say softly: "I'll be here later."
The monk respectfully retired.
He extinguished the green lantern and walked out of the Zen courtyard. There were ten thousand futons on the open space, one for each monk. Every monk opened his eyes and looked over, his eyes full of expectation and desire. This was the desire for Zen.
Xia Ji sat among the monks and sat quietly for a moment, two moments, three moments... He sat there until dark, but never uttered a word. By the time it was dusk, smoke was already curling up in the dining hall, and the aroma of the meal came from far away. There were greedy insects floating around, so he opened his eyes, smiled and said three words: "Let's go eat."
The monks were speechless.
The monk who invited him said hurriedly: "Master, why didn't you say a word?"
Xia Ji heard himself laughing: "I have said everything, didn't you hear?"
The monk thought for a moment and said doubtfully: "What the teacher said is that you should eat when you are hungry, and go to bed when you are tired. But isn't that what most people do?"
Xia Ji heard himself laughing and said: "No, no, no, ordinary people refuse to eat when eating, have a hundred kinds of strings, refuse to sleep when sleeping, and care about everything, so it is naturally different."
…
…
Scenes quickly switched from scene to scene, taking him to experience scenes full of Zen knowledge.
After an unknown amount of time, he opened his eyes.
In front of me are still three mottled black Buddha statues.
It's still dark and snowing heavily.
It turns out that a long time in the spirit has only passed in a few moments in reality.
And he has also understood that this is not the true biography of Tathagata, Lantern, and Maitreya, but some of the temple's past powerful events resonated with this Buddha statue, leaving some scaled and clawed spirits on it.
But over time, most of these spirits have collapsed, leaving only a few continuations, but it is these continuations that make these three Buddha statues unique.
Now, perhaps it was his appearance as a Tathagata that aroused this resonance, so much so that Leiyin Temple passed on all the spiritual secrets to him, allowing his spiritual power to reach a higher level.
Cross over! !
Boom!
The three mottled Buddha statues lost their spiritual bearing and began to crack one by one. The leftmost Buddha statue shattered first and turned into pieces of black stones, which rolled down to the ground and piled up into a small rock mountain.
Immediately afterwards, the Buddha statue on the right also began to shatter.
In the original location of the Great Hall, only the Prince of Shang was still sitting, motionless and quiet.
He realized carefully that this spiritual gift just now made the red color of the Third Buddha Zen a little deeper, more condensed, and thicker. Obviously, his spiritual power was also a little stronger.
Coupled with the blessing of the second "Now Tathagata Zen" skill bead, his spiritual power is strong enough to leave his own spiritual mark.
This thought is like opening a door.
The world behind this door attracted him.
So, Xia Ji stood up.
Cross over!
Bang!
The mottled Buddha statue on the left also completely collapsed, collapsing to one side and turning into a pool of worthless gravel.
The Tathagata in the middle finally began to completely shatter.
Dark cracks sprouted from the Buddha's head, and soon, this Buddha would follow in the footsteps of other Buddha statues.
With the collapse of this Buddha statue, the last remaining landform symbol of the ancient Leiyin Temple will disappear and cease to exist.
But that didn't happen.
Because Xia Ji stepped lightly into the air and stood on the shoulders of the Buddha statue.
Reach out.
Caress the top of the Buddha.
