It was hot everywhere in this weather. Su Hao pushed her suitcase and walked out of the platform. The scorching ground and hot wind blew in her face. She took out a tissue and wiped her cheek, then continued walking. The phone in her hand hadn't rang, and she was hesitant, not knowing whether she should call.
She walked through the relatively cool high-speed rail lobby and arrived at the door. The cool and hot winds blew on her body. She wiped her cheeks again and her eyes fell on the door.
The golden ground and the endless skyscrapers.
This place is different from Huijiang City after all.
A black Hummer arrived at the exit and parked quite far away. The man in the car rolled down the window, holding a cigarette between his fingertips, and looked over here.
Su Hao covered his forehead and looked over.
That handsome face and narrow eyes met hers.
Su Hao was stunned for a few seconds and subconsciously clenched his phone.
The car door opened quickly, the man got out, walked around the front of the car as if he was going to come over. Su Hao was a little nervous, so he quickly walked over with the suitcase.
As he approached, Zhou Yang put his cigarette into his mouth and asked with a smile, "Why didn't you call?"
Su Hao tilted his head, hummed, and said, "I'm just about to fight."
"Really? Get in the car." Zhou Yang took the suitcase from her hand, turned and walked towards the black car. Su Hao looked at his tall back, hesitated for a moment, and quickly followed.
Before Zhou Yang went to put his luggage away, he opened the back door for her.
Su Hao grabbed the handrail, got in the car, and sat firmly in the car.
The air conditioner in the car was loud and cool, which immediately relieved a lot of the heat in her body. She glanced at the steering wheel and then looked outside. Zhou Yang came over, but he didn't rush to get in the car. He slowly finished smoking the cigarette, then put it out, and then opened the door and got in.
The door slammed shut, Zhou Yang turned around to look at her, his narrow eyes smiling, "Would you like to have dinner at home first?"
Su Hao pinched her skirt and nodded: "Okay."
Zhou Yang retracted his gaze, gripped the steering wheel and started the car.
The car drove onto the main road.
There was also music playing in the car, light music.
Su Hao looked at the endoscope, but saw nothing. She leaned towards the car door to reduce her presence. For her now, as long as she could live a good life, that was enough.
The person in the driver's seat was not something she could imagine.
The high-speed rail station is some distance away from Zhou's main home, and the two people in the car had nothing to say. If it weren't for the acquaintance of their mothers, Su Hao and Zhou Yang would have no intersection.
There would be no such things as their childhood acquaintance, her childhood love, and him accompanying his mother back to Jiang City a few years ago, being pursued by her, and being obsessed with her.
Su Hao sighed softly.
Very light.
When the music paused, it reached Zhou Yang's ears.
Zhou Yang placed his slender fingers on the steering wheel, tilted his head slightly, glanced at the road conditions outside the car, then retracted his head and glanced at the interior mirror casually.
I didn't see the person, just a little bit of the skirt.
He smiled and looked away indifferently.
Su Hao avoided it and didn't see his smile.
If I saw it, I would remember the time when I pursued him. He always smiled like this, but in fact, there was coldness in his smile.
With carelessness and alienation.
The car was about to arrive at the main residence, and Su Hao was feeling a little drowsy. Looking at the villa area, she understood more clearly the gap between the two of them.
A man's voice came from the front, deep and pleasant.
"Su Hao, I haven't asked you yet, how have you been these years?" Zhou Yang asked this when they were almost there.
Su Hao sobered up a little, sat up straight, looked at his hands on his knees, and said, "Not bad."
"That's good. I learned from previous research that you later completed studies in financial management?" His voice was always pleasant, often with a smile, which was very attractive.
Su Hao replied softly: "Yes, it's finished."
Zhou Yang nodded, "Okay then."
In front was the Zhou family's main residence, a European-style villa with a yard. A black Hummer was parked in front of the door. Su Hao opened the door, straightened her skirt, and got out. She was wearing white sneakers, which matched the skirt. She looked very proper, with no makeup on, and she looked gentle and simple.
She was very different from the girls around Zhou Yang. Zhou Yang picked up a suitcase, and Su Hao subconsciously stepped forward to take it. Zhou Yang smiled and looked at her, joking: "Why? I can't even lift a suitcase."
Su Hao's outstretched hand froze in mid-air, then she smiled and withdrew her hand.
He is always like this.
Careless, cynical, romantic and amorous.
It is so easy to be dazzled and think that you have a chance.
The weather was still hot. Su Hao followed Zhou Yang and walked up the stairs. After just three steps, he felt a cool air coming from the room.
Zhou's mother.
Susie came out wearing a cheongsam and high heels. When she saw Su Hao, she smiled and said, "Su Hao! Auntie finally sees you again."
"Auntie, long time no see." Su Hao couldn't help but smile.
"All these years, oh, you." Su Si stepped forward and hugged Su Hao.
She had a fragrance on her body, and she hugged Su Hao tightly without reservation. Su Hao smiled and hugged Su Si tightly.
She knew what Susie was going to say, so she smiled. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Zhou Yang put down his suitcase, took the towel handed to him by the nanny to wipe his hands, leaned lazily against the cabinet, and lowered his head to play with his phone.
He has a tall figure and exudes a romantic air.
Su Hao withdrew his gaze and stopped looking.
Susie let go of Su Hao, held her arm and looked her up and down, saying with pity, "Since you're divorced, live a good life in the future. Your mother entrusted you to me, and I will definitely take good care of you."
Su Hao smiled gently: "I can take care of myself."
"Okay, I know you're strong now." Susie touched her face. The girl's face was still very white and tender, but a little gentle.
She also glanced at her son over there.
Sigh slightly.
The nanny prepared dinner quickly. There were only three people at home. Zhou Yang was about to leave after receiving a phone call, but Susie wouldn't let him and forced him to stay and have dinner before leaving.
Zhou Yang had no choice but to call the person on the other end and say that he would not be there tonight.
It was a female voice.
Susie subconsciously looked at Su Hao.
Su Hao lowered his head and flipped through his phone, seemingly replying to messages.
It looked like she didn't hear or notice it. Susie breathed a sigh of relief. Zhou Yang sat aside, frowning at his mother. After a few seconds, he tapped the table with his fingertips.
There was a hint of warning in his eyes.
Susie rolled her eyes, then nodded and mouthed, "I see."
I won’t pair you up with Su Hao!
Pooh!
The dinner was very sumptuous. Susie thought Su Hao was quite thin, so she kept picking up food for her. Su Hao didn't try to push it away, but just ate as much as she could get. The two of them were talking and laughing.
In contrast, Zhou Yang basically did not participate in the conversation, and occasionally glanced at his mobile phone, as if waiting for a message.
After dinner.
Susie pulled Su Hao upstairs and placed her in the guest room on the second floor. The decoration was exquisite. It was the first time for Su Hao to stay in such a room, and it felt like staying in a hotel.
Susie showed her the closet, the bathroom, the balcony, and the dressing table, then turned around and asked with a smile, "Is it okay for you to live at home in the future?"
Su Hao shook his head: "Not good."
Why
Su Si was about to ask, but when she saw Su Hao's beautiful eyes, she paused and stopped talking about the subject.
Su Hao liked Zhou Yang.
It really makes things difficult for Su Hao to let her live in this house.
Thinking of this, Susie really wanted to kill Zhou Yang.
Forget it.
She took Su Hao's hand, pulled her to the bathroom, and said, "Please clean up first, and come down later. Auntie will take you for a walk in the backyard."
"Okay." Su Hao nodded.
After watching Susie go out, Su Hao opened the suitcase, then squatted down and took out her pajamas. After taking them out, she hesitated for a moment, chose a simple set of home clothes, got up and went into the bathroom to take a shower. There was a bathtub and a shower in the bathroom, with separate dry and wet areas. She chose the shower and turned the temperature very low.
After taking a shower, she wiped her hair, stood barefoot on the carpet, and looked out the window.
There is a lake outside the window.
On the other side of the lake, beyond the high wall, are the lights of thousands of homes in the city.
Huijiang City is not as developed as Licheng.
Here, where opportunities are everywhere, there are certainly setbacks everywhere.
After wiping his hair, Su Hao put on his slippers, opened the door, and went downstairs to find Susie. Her hair was still a little wet, and she was holding the railing and fiddling with her hair.
The lights downstairs are bright.
When I was almost there, I heard Susie talking.
That made her pause.
"After all, Su Hao is not your type! Is that right?" Susie's voice.
"Yes—" Zhou Yang replied lazily, "What else do you want to say?"
Susie snorted, “Your Aunt Ling has always been worried about Su Hao, and now she doesn’t seem to plan to look for her again.”
"How about I introduce her to her?" Zhou Yang asked with a raised eyebrow.
Susie was stunned.
Zhou Yang laughed softly, "I will make sure to find her a very good man."
Susie: “Okay.”
There was a pause of about a few seconds.
Susie still didn't give up: "Yourself?"
Zhou Yang: "I'll let it go."
