The arrow spotted their mark and sank with lethal accuracy. It was an astonishing double-strike that went directly into the sternum of the two priests traveling with Mordechai.

One of the priests leaned back from the saddle and fell to the ground. When the other accomplice was about to speak, the arrow also stole his life. He sat on the saddle and hung his body, with a pained and hopeless expression on his face. .

The arrow's face is very strange, it is light brown, and the wooden vertical handle has dark red feathers. Only when Fan Fan saw the second priest fall down on his horse, did he still deny that he would be an easy target for the next strike. He didn't know if it was a rescue or a robber's attempt to kill them all and snatch their valuables.

Mordecai hugged the flanks of his horse tightly, like a Siamese mutant. He didn't take risks for the boy. He glanced at his saddle and saw the man who did it. This young man wore the same clothes as Mordechai and his fellow priests, except that the face was different. A brown robe was tied around his waist with a scarlet belt around his waist. This stranger was not like Mordechai and His companions shaved like that. His short black hair is neatly trimmed, it's Gideon!

"What happened, who is that?" Fan Fan asked.

"Avenger," Mordechai whispered.

He reached for his sword and started walking towards the attacker.

When the two met on the grass 20 meters away from Fan Fan on the road, they stopped and Gideon threw his bow to the ground. He did not carry a quiver.

"So they gave me the best, Gideon?" Mordechai said.

"Just a priest, he has not forgotten his vows to the temple and the Almighty," Gideon said.

Mordechai moved quickly to face Gideon. When the sword arc hit Gideon's chest, the end of Mordechai slammed his weapon so that it could penetrate into his chest. Gideon fought back at the same speed, spinning around Mordecai, followed by a roundabout kick, hitting Mordecai's cheek. Gideon grabbed his heel while completing the task, and when Mordecai went backwards for a while, he fell and tried to recover.

Mordechai drew his sword before landing, and he waited to charge forward, knowing that wrong actions would be fatal soon. Gideon was one of the few people Mordecai was really afraid of, even though he would never admit it.

Mordechai swayed and missed many good opportunities. Gideon stepped his toe into an anthill next to his left foot. A jīng twist of his ankle sent the soil and angry ants into the air. Flying away with Mordechai’s face, the priest in brown robes entered Mordechai’s attack line well. With his right fist, Gideon slammed Mordechai’s control of the weapon. He used his The left hand directly smashed Mordechai's throat.

The sword fell from Mordechai's hand and fell to the ground, breathless. Gideon grabbed Mordechai's sword from the air, then slammed the sword through his stomach, nailing him to the ground.

Mordechai screamed, he held the weapon tightly, but he couldn't take it away. Within a few seconds, all his power was gone, because his blood flowed into the soil and he lost consciousness.

Fan Fan was stunned. He had never seen such a true fighter before. Fear instantly climbed onto his spine, but would he be the next? He decided to shout out loud and find the answer, at least from this far away, he might make Whistler run before the young man found him.

"What is your intention, sir?" Fan Fan shouted.

Gideon turned around and walked towards Fan Fan and his mountain. "It depends on your relationship with these people."

Fan Fan raised his tied wrist. "Isn't it obvious?"

"How did you become a prisoner of Mordechai?"

"These people are looting the bodies of my people in Grandi. They are thieves," Fan Fan said angrily.

"They are pastors. My name is Gideon."

"Priest? Then why are you..."

"They are traitors to the "Order of Satan", and I apologize to you for my orders, because they are ashamed of all of us for what they did to you, and now they are being punished," Gideon said.

Fanfan glanced at Mordechai and the other priests. "Yes, I think you can say that," he said, "what about me? If you don't mind, I think you can let me go."

Gideon got closer. "Why do they treat you as a prisoner?"

"I don't know... Mordecai has some crazy ideas. He thought Morey would pay him to catch me."

"Why does he think Morey would do such a thing?" Gideon asked.

Fan Fan stretched out his arm, "He said it was related to this birthmark."

Gideon's eyes lit up immediately, "Does this mark mean anything to you?"

"Fan Fan".

"Fan Fan, yes... Does this mark have any special meaning to you?"

"I don't know anything," Fan Fan said

"Tell me, Fanfan, were you born in Grandi?"

"No, my sister and I came from a village called Salem, but it was destroyed many years ago," Fan Fan said.

"Nine years ago," Gideon said before realizing it.

"what?"

"It's okay," he corrected. "I've heard of that old village. Morey destroyed it before riding to Emmanuel to conquer it."

"My parents were killed that night, and Elspeth and I fled into the forest."

"Elspeth is your sister?" Gideon asked.

"Yes, but I think Morey's soldiers took her away when they attacked Grandi." "There were no young women among the dead. They disappeared, but they are the only ones. I don't understand why the Devil Knights Will deal with prisoners."

"It all depends on why Morey sent someone to attack Grandi. Do you know this?"

Fan Fan stretched out his wrist tied, "This is a complicated story."

Gideon smiled and took out a dagger from a sheath under the sleeve of his brown robe. He reached out and cut the rope that tied Fan Fan. "I want to hear it."

It is difficult for Mordecai to determine how long he has been lying on the ground. He was surprised to find that he was still alive. His body felt very cold and numbness was covering him. This huge sword protruded from his stomach and filled it. His sight, but he can't feel it anymore.

I was dying, and he searched around him through his dim vision. He could not find Gideon or Satan's savior. Fear grabbed his soul. He has only one chance.

Mordechai recalled the old, forbidden summoning word. He said it with the name Jericho.

He kept repeating this sentence, using the last remnant of his power to throw a grappling hook with a thread, hoping to hold on for a while. (To be continued) (End of this chapter)
