When the barkeeper knocked on the door, it was almost dusk, and they heard the news about crossing the blue sea. A merchant ship bound for Emmanuel is scheduled to leave within two days. Gideon thanked the man and told him that when they were ready to set off on the boat, he would receive the money he promised to give him.

"I will take you to see the captain tomorrow," said the barkeeper.

Fanfan and Gideon still have a day and a half to wait for them to leave the tired Traveller Hotel and Tilly. They decided that if they were not far from the hotel, it would be better to spend their time on it. The pirates they encountered may be waiting for a chance for revenge.

Fan Fan watched the last ray of sunlight sink into the horizon of the blue sea. He had never been to the sea before, but he had heard of the blue sea. Its water is often compared to sapphire. This is the first time Fan Fan has seen it in his life. He understands this analogy. It's simply beautiful. Even in the moonlight, it still gleams.

Gideon lay down in her arms, sleeping as long as she could. It is almost impossible to try to get any high-quality rest on a merchant ship. Fan Fan was the first to stand guard.

It was not until dusk that ships began to enter and exit the port hurriedly. The operation of the terminal is like an oiled machine. Fan Fan wanted to know where he and Gideon were going to drive the boat. He paused, thinking about what the priest said to him. Then he prayed silently for Elspeth, praying for their journey, hoping to save her.

A voice awakened Fan Fan. He was not sure where the sound came from. Perhaps it was the sound of a rifle slamming in the distance. He had no doubt that in a city like Tilly, things became very dangerous after dark, and it was dirty enough during the day.

He scanned the room quickly, and the light of the full moon came in through their open windows. Fan Fan sat in the shadow, just within reach of the moonlight. He put a black powder pistol of the pirate captain on his knee just in case.

Gideon was still sleeping, and the priest was asleep very well, Fan Fan thought. In fact, he was very happy to wake up before Gideon woke up, and at first he wanted to blame himself for falling asleep.

Fan Fan now heard more noise in the street, and at least two people were fighting outside. He stared out the window and saw a man staggeringly punched, but missed. The other person hit back with a left uppercut.

More noise came from outside their room. Fan Fan walked to the door to investigate. He heard someone walking by in the hall, a man and a woman. He waited until their voices came from the corridor. Fan Fan heard a door open and close, assuming everything is clear now.

He opened the door of their room. There was no one else in the hall, and an oil lamp was shining at the end of the corridor. Fan Fan walked into the corridor and closed the door. He heard a sāo movement from downstairs, and Fan Fan knelt on the landing on the second floor to see what was happening in the main room of the inn.

A group of pirates gathered near the bar, with the earlier pirate captain standing in front. He supported the bar counter with his arms and shirt. "Where are they?" He yelled when he pulled the man into the middle of the mahogany countertop. The two captains stood on either side of the barkeeper’s head.

He will tell them that Fan Fan knows that silver coins can't stop a man from saving himself.

"They got up at seven o'clock!" He pleaded guilty.

The pirate captain grinned, showing all the cavities in his smile. He stuffed the barkeeper back into the ceramic cups stacked on the back wall. They flew in all directions because the barkeeper poured a bunch of things on the ground. "Come on, boys. We have revenge tonight!"

When the men turned to the stairs, Fan Fan saw other tourists in the bar with the pirates. demon! Fanfan hurriedly returned to the room and closed the door quickly, hoping that he and Gideon could sneak out in time.

When Fan Fan turned to wake Gideon, a demon's head crawled out of the dusty floor, and its shape became a solid substance. Fan Fan stood on the steps of Zhung Yāng and was startled by the enemy who suddenly appeared in the dark. For a moment, he almost forgot that the creature couldn't see him.

The demon crawled into the dark room until its feet cleared the floor. Then it looked around, looking for the shadows of anyone who might appear. The devil wore the same red and black clothes as the others—Morey's Yan sè, with a sword suspended in mid-air.

The devil jumped to the edge of the footboard of the bed and passed over its prey like a vulture. Fan Fan didn't know what to do. If he awakens Gideon, the demon might kill him. If he didn't, at least, the pirates would go upstairs and kill them both, he had no choice.

"Gideon, there is a demon in the room, wake up!"

The demon remained motionless until Gideon sat up. The devil grabbed the sword hanging beside him. Fan Fan hid in the space between the door and the bed, and grabbed Gideon with both hands. The demon plunged into the mattress, just as Van Fan pulled Gideon to the floor.

The blade tore through a huge crack through the bed. The boy rolled from the floor to his feet. Gideon still held Fan Fan tightly. When the demon frantically searched for the invisible boy, they retreated into a corner.

The pirates walked down the hall, their heavy footsteps falling on the old floor, as if an army were moving. The devil ran out of the room, passing through the wooden door unimpeded.

Gideon and Van Fan grabbed the weapons they had previously requisitioned and rushed towards the window. The door suddenly opened behind them, and Gideon followed Fan Fan across the window sill and slammed into the wall. The pirate captain spotted them and fired.

Gideon rolled down the slope of the roof and lost control until Van Fan caught him. "Thank you," Gideon said.

The pirate captain appeared at the window, and when his men shoved behind him, he howled in pain and beat his broken arm violently. "Let me go, you dogs!"

Fanfan and Gideon ran along the roof tiles until they found a neighboring roof. It is about 1 meter lower than the roof of the weary traveler and 1 meter away. "We must jump down," Gideon said.

Fan Fan is not afraid of height anyway, but this jump looks like a one-way ticket to a broken ankle. Gideon ran very well and sailed in a wide area. He wore a loose priestess costume. Rolling beside him. He fell on a nearby roof, causing his body to collapse at his knees. He rolled out and returned to his feet.

Fanfan didn't know if he could succeed. He was sure that his attempt would not be as elegant as Gideon's, even if he did succeed.

Fan Fan backed up and dashed forward into the fastest track. He could run the fastest before running out of the roof. He took the last step and jumped in the air. (To be continued) (End of this chapter)
