Chapter 32: The Guardian of Satan (32)

He always tells himself that this is a means to an end. Morey and his kind are a means of subordination of mankind and of the fallen to the supremacy. It should be, he thought.

A dark light came, Jericho didn’t need to see it. The presence of God always brought a tingling sensation in his body, when another demon quickly approached the blue ocean from the west. , This kind of flicker followed, he flew to the palace quickly with his black wings, his feathers were covered with oil stains, reflecting their depraved nature.

The devil landed near Jericho and immediately knelt in front of him. Jericho did not look away from Morey, and his body did not move at all. "Jerico, I brought news about the Wayland army and our ships at sea."

"What news does our honorable King Stephen have?" Jericho said, continuing to look at the courtyard.

"Stephen has made progress with the help of the northern villages. His army has three thousand men and has grown as they recruited Nuodian villages along the way. He should arrive in two days."

"Stephen is a fool," Jericho said. "He should realize that he can't expect to take the city. By the way, have you passed?"

"No, my master," said the devil. "The master of Satan still guards Stephen's army."

"It's okay," Jericho spat. "He usually doesn't allow his servants to interfere in personnel affairs. They may escort them, but this will only bring bad luck to Stephen."

The demon continued to stand there. "Anything else?" Jericho asked.

""Yes, my lord. News from the blue sea. "

"When will the giants arrive?"

"Something went wrong, sir. The first slave ship planned to arrive has been destroyed."

Jericho slowly closed his eyes and sighed. "Who—that group of pirates marching around as Stephen's navy?"

"No, my master, that is Satan's guardian," said the devil.

Jericho was already excited now, "Guardian? How could he destroy our ship?"

"Obviously, sir, he is quickly controlling his power. The boy entered the jīng god level and found the giant in the cargo hold. A battle ensued. The boy damaged the hull and ridge of the ship before escaping. Soon after the storm, It collapsed."

"What about the giant?" he asked.

"Under the sea, my lord."

Jericho was angrily, considering the current situation, he put his hands behind his back. "So even if hundreds of people like us boarded this ship, the deliverer not only successfully sunk it, but also escaped the hunt?"

"Obviously, my lord."

"Obviously, I am surrounded by incompetent people," Jericho said. "I hope this boy will be found and killed immediately. Understand?"

"Yes, my lord, it is very clear." He turned around and shot from the roof of the palace tower, leaving Jericho slowly sulking. He thought, this guardian's plan for us is getting more and more dangerous. No matter what power Satan gave him, it seemed impossible to stop him in a showdown. In this case, subtlety is necessary—frustration, despair, and betrayal can be powerful tools in this situation.

Jericho looked back at Morey. The warlord had just used his name as Jericho. He used an old word to describe the summoning. He must once again express his loyalty and obey the king.

Jericho came down from the top of the tower to the balcony downstairs. Morey stood by the stone fence. Jericho stood looking at the man. If it hadn't been for Morey to be an unfortunate mixed-race, Morey would have been acceptable. For Jericho, his values are correct, which means that he desires power at any cost, but his people are disgusting.

Jericho swallowed his pride and let Morey see him. "Lord, you call me?" He bowed slightly. Jericho didn't want to think that this was real humility, but only to hone his deceptive skills.

"Yes, Jericho, what's the news about Stephen's army?"

"Stephen's army is only two days away from the city. Along the way, build itself with your loyal supporters from the towns of the Nord Kingdom."

"how many?"

"So far, there are three thousand people," Jericho said.

Morey turned and walked along the balcony. "Where are the giants you promised me?"

Jericho said: "One of the ships was delayed, but the other ships are still scheduled to arrive within a week."

"Delayed? What happened?"

Jericho considered whether to tell him the truth, and then decided that it would be interesting to see Morey's reaction. "Obviously, the guardian of Satan did not die as we thought."

Morey stopped pacing immediately, and Jericho looked at the man's face. The blood left a short trace, making him look very pale.

"What do you mean he didn't die? We destroyed the whole village and there are no survivors!"

Jericho said, "However, the Guardian is still alive." The news was not very good, but Morey's reaction somehow made the fallen angel amused. If he has a bad situation to deal with, then at least he can enjoy the discomfort of this mortal. After all, Morey was predicted to be destroyed by the Guardian, not himself.

Technically speaking, the boy could do nothing but temporarily incapacitate the angel. After a short recovery, the demon will be ready to act, albeit weaker than before. To make matters worse, the boy was able to destroy their machinations between men. Jericho's plan may be hindered unless the Guardian can be killed.

"Are you sure it is him? How did you know?" Morey asked, trying to control the undercurrent of fear. It was this single fear that drove him to destroy Salem before invading that place nine years ago.

"Believe me, my lord, only a guardian can do what this kid does. His age corresponds to the time the guardian was born. It is him."

"Trust you? When your people told me that the child died nine years ago, I believed you!" Morey spat. "I want to destroy that boy, do you understand?"

Jericho stood there, listening quietly. Morey was now walking on the edge of the razor. He barely realized that the demon standing in front of him could kill him before his next breath, if he wanted to. No angel from the Kingdom of Glory will come to save Morey, just as they might be followers of Satan. However, Jericho completely controlled the situation. "Maybe, my master will let me summon my people to leave his army?"

Morey quickly controlled his temper. He stammered for an answer. Morey needed demons more than they needed him, Jericho knew this. "No, of course not," he said. "I don't want to blame you. But this guardian must be eliminated. While he is alive, all our plans are in danger." (to be continued) (end of this chapter)
