Chapter 70: Enlightenment (2)

Views:

I returned to the library, Yu still standing where I left him.

"How long will I have to do this?" he asked, um, more like a moan.

"Who knows!" I told him with newfound enthusiasm. ""But you should try to keep a low profile, okay? I still have some books to read. "

"What if those Jǐng guards come back?"

""Then I will deal with that little thing myself. I have enough ability, you know, "Before I returned to my seat, I told him with accusing eyes.

I think it's time to skip a bit. I have never liked a history that is not destructive so much, so I think it's better to skip to the good parts. I know I know. Everything is for travel, right? So, what kind of fool would want to be trapped in a place where a person walks? I know I will never! I mean, talking is boring! It's like reading a story of a person standing in line!

My previous enthusiasm disappeared within a few minutes, and I read the same lines over and over again. I'm sure it doesn't matter if I skip a few more pages, right? I quickly turned over and rested on a new page.

This new page is just statistics. I have never been good at handling numbers, but since these are death notices, I think I can give them a quick perspective. In some kind of huge disaster, it seems that millions or even hundreds of millions of people have lost their lives. Great, now I have to go back and see what I skipped.

I see. All this happened after I was imprisoned for fifty years. By the way, Brady told me that I had only been away for about three hundred years, which was correct. After reading this book, I knew this ruining fact, but when I felt bored and exhausted, my anger quickly calmed down, but that is the past and the present is now.

If the paranoia of the witches felt it necessary to record these events, then they must have really happened. Although they are the kind of people who make up ridiculous lies in order to make their name more glamorous, they will never make up something that directly conflicts with their beliefs, especially their own God complex.

It turns out that the gods actually descended on our world, as Wren mentioned. You can't blame me for not believing the words of some idiot with a sword, right? I mean, that idiot has no evidence to support his words! His words are similar to words that only a complete lunatic would say!

So, fifty years after I was forced to leave this world, gods descended on me. As far as I know, neither the gods nor the fallen gods care much about human life. They are always arguing and don't care about the people involved.

Entire cities and kingdoms were destroyed by something that can only be described as great power. Small islands were erased from the map, and only when the mainland became so severely cracked were they replaced by more islands.

Particularly interesting is the degree of indifference displayed by the gods. They don't care about the result of the damage, they just move to another target area and cause more damage.

Ah, what a wonderful moment, it must be alive. I was sitting in my seat, thinking about what it would be like to witness all this with my own eyes. Oh, how I wish I was in the middle of it all! Against God, I want to know how it feels

People began to worship them as saviors, even though I really don’t understand why. Maybe they think they will not be harmed by the carnage around them. A desperate fool will do anything after all, especially if they think it will increase the chances of survival.

I have been reading, wondering why such a battle has not happened until today, and I got a very interesting answer. The gods can be killed. Obviously, it takes great power to put them down forever, something that other gods only have. Although this is only what the cowards think, then they may not be so powerful, at least not comparable to me.

I sighed with satisfaction and closed the book. Very interesting, very interesting. However, my thoughts on this matter were interrupted because I heard some movement from outside the hall. Those damn Jǐng guards again! I really don't have time to deal with them now, but I think I can properly digest all this new information when I have time, and I think I can bring up this reading project later.

I grabbed the books that seemed attractive, stuffed them into my bag, and closed them with great difficulty. Then I walked to the huge arch and put a hand aside. Some small cracks appeared in my men, and they started to rush to the top, where they split even more. The ground began to rumble, and then the roof above suddenly collapsed, making me jump up to avoid the huge rock trying to crush me. The dust quickly fell into the air, showing me a large pile of stones at the entrance of the library. Before I come back, this should allow people to leave here.

"Come on, rain, we should go." I announced, dragging him in torn clothes.

When I brought him to the window, Ren said nothing, and smashed the window to pieces with him. Shards of glass fell vertically from below, forcing the people below to find cover. Well, that compound must be stronger than I thought, because he has lost consciousness with such a light blow.

"Markey! You better be there!" I screamed and flew into the sky, drowning out the panicked voice below.

"Mistress! I'm glad you are safe!" cried the pink bat with bunny ears, and when it drifted towards me, it was trying to maintain its height. Oh, for a while, I thought he would become a giant eagle!

"you are happy"? For example, are you worried? Fool!" I shouted, slapped the beast's forehead with my walking stick. "It seems that these cockroaches might pose any threat to the crimson lily!"

I threw off the rain and followed him to Mackey's back, making him moan in pain, his wings flapping fragilely. I know it is a good idea to give him the ability to transform, otherwise he will be completely useless!

Mackey started to leave the building where the witches were assembled frantically. I took this great opportunity to put together any nearby house and place a few well-placed fireballs and lightning, you know, just because.

"Trembling in fear, pray to your worthless gods, so that you will never pass me by again!" I laughed hysterically. "Remember the synonyms of fear, you poor worms! Scarlet Lily's name! Take us away now, Mackey!"

"Where are we going, mistress?" the disgusting fool yelled.

"Of course it is to kill a god!"

"Mistress!" I don't think I can... continue like this..." the terrible pink bat exclaimed amidst gasping.

"I think you are the best. If you know what is good for you, it is."

We descended a little bit in the air, but we held the altitude for a few minutes before starting a steady descent. Why should I bother myself with useless toys? One of them still froze in that ridiculous posture, while the other could barely keep him flying! hurry up! We just flew like this for more than a day, endless, but I was so stupid to believe that we could continue for at least a week

Suddenly, Mackey's wings stopped flapping.

"What do you think you are doing?" I hissed loudly into his sensitive ears. There is no response. "Mackey! Either stop right away or help me!"

This is no use. My threat to his pain and pain no longer exists. After such a small amount of exercise, did he really lose consciousness? I have to make him go on a diet. I think I can solve the problem just by being hungry.

We fell from the sky at a rapid rate, but thanks to Mackey’s wings, we avoided a complete dive. When the treetops of the forest below were wiped off, they scraped off the hard bottom of the Mackey, and as our descending speed accelerated, the entire tree trunk was blown away.

I am standing behind my home, waiting, because this will be a graceful display of elegance. At the moment before the impact, I jumped down gracefully, turned back a little, and landed gracefully on my feet. Mackey's body crossed the ground, sending waves of mud to both sides, uprooting any trees on the road, as graceful as a drunk dancing. At the same time, Renn completely got rid of the restraint of riding a horse and entered the dense bush, where he disappeared without a trace.

"How painful." I sighed and walked to the place where Mackey's body was about to be found.

The forest is very quiet, in fact it makes me a little homesick. My forest is very similar to this one, just like human beings dare to cross borders. The reason is quite simple, however, it somehow is beyond the grasp of human logic. Animals are different from us. They have a mysterious connection with nature. This connection is what we exchange for evolution and wisdom. We cannot detect the danger as much as possible, which is why there are no wild animals in this forest.

Only an extremely stupid person can attribute this lack of life to Markey's loud decline. The real reason is obviously because of me, even an idiot should be able to see so much. It was because of the threat I posed that I couldn't hear any sound. Nevertheless, I do have a strange feeling that something dark is lingering out of my sight. Well, as long as it doesn't get close to me, it doesn't matter to me.

I walked past Mackey's body, through all the bushes, and came to the rainy place. This killing business will be very troublesome. First of all, I don't know where to start looking for it! Not to mention that I don’t even know what it looks like, not even its name! (To be continued) (End of this chapter)
