After resting for two days in Xijing, Qin Mu led more than 10,000 soldiers and civilians to march north to Zhongbu County, and officially issued an edict to change Zhongbu County to Huangling County.

Qin Mu's tomb sacrifice this time had a huge impact because he issued an edict to announce it to the world when he was in Beijing. Many people came from other places to watch the ceremony, making the scene of the tomb sacrifice even more grand.

After arriving at Huangling County, Qin Mu and Sima An and other civil and military officials first fasted for three days.

When the chosen auspicious day for the tomb worship came, they bathed and burned incense, and wore tall hats and wide belts, meticulously. On the road from the county town to the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum, a new layer of loess was laid, sprinkled with clean water.

On both sides of the road, Qin soldiers in bright armor protected each other, with flags fluttering and ceremonial guards in full swing. In addition, 360 musicians played ritual music to lead the way, making the procession grand and solemn.

Behind Qin Mu's carriage came more than 200 captives, including Ajige, Duoduo, Fan Wencheng, Sun Zhixie, etc. All of them were shirtless, carrying brambles on their backs, with their hands tied behind their backs, piled like pearls.

These people, who were once either cruel, cunning, or shameless, have now all become Qin Mu's sacrifices to the ancestors of the Chinese nation.

Ajige and others had already been tortured to the point of living a life worse than death in Beijing, but at this moment, when they learned that they were really going to become sacrifices, they still looked pale and dejected. The cold wind of late autumn blew on their naked bodies, and they were so cold that their noses and faces were blue and purple, and they were shivering.

The Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum is located on the top of Qiaoshan Mountain, two miles north of the county seat. Qiaoshan Mountain is surrounded by the Ju River and mountains, and is surrounded by ancient cypress trees, which are quiet and deep. All dynasties have attached great importance to the protection of the ancient cypress trees in Huangling. The Song, Yuan and Ming dynasties all issued decrees or orders to protect Huangling. The mountain is covered with cypress trees with a radius of about eight miles, with more than 63,000 trees.

There is a road at the foot of the mountain that leads to the top of the mountain and all the way to the front of the mausoleum. There is a stone tablet at the foot of the mountain, called the Dismounting Stone, with the words "Civil and Military Officials Dismount Here" on it.

All the emperors and ministers who came to pay respects to the mausoleum had to dismount here and walk to the mausoleum. After Qin Mu asked his attendants to help him put his clothes back in order, he stepped down from his carriage in front of the dismounting stone with a pious attitude and led the civil and military officials to walk to the altar.

On the altar, the tablet of Huangdi was placed to the left of the tablet of God. In front of the tablet of Huangdi, there were also three kinds of animals, namely cattle, sheep and pigs, as well as other sacrificial utensils and corresponding offerings.

Amidst the solemn music, the ceremonial officer solemnly invited the tablets of God to the altar first, and then invited the tablets of Huangdi to the altar. During the whole process, every action of the ceremonial officer must be respectful.

Qin Mu and all the civil and military officials stood solemnly at the foot of the altar. The soldiers and civilians behind them all held their breath, and no one dared to move or make a noise.

Next, Qin Mu, wearing a tall hat and a wide belt, stepped onto the altar, burned incense to the gods of heaven and Huangdi, and offered jade and silk, and presented sacrificial vessels containing meat such as cattle and mutton.

The solemn music stopped, and Qin Mu and all the civil and military officials knelt down respectfully in front of the altar. Thousands of soldiers and civilians also knelt down one after another, and solemnly performed the ceremony of kowtow to the sound of the ceremony officer singing.

After the kowtow ceremony, Qin Mu knelt and read the sacrificial text. No one could stand up at this time. Everyone knelt facing the Yellow Emperor's shrine and listened to the sacrificial text. The mountain breeze blew, and the pine trees were rustling. Qin Mu knelt in front of the altar, holding the sacrificial text in his hands, and read aloud:

The illustrious ancestor. The Chinese people were the first to be created, and their descendants have been worshipped for generations, with majestic mountains and vast rivers.

He was intelligent and wise, his fame spread far and wide, he accomplished great things and stood tall in the East.

The world has changed drastically, China has suffered setbacks, and over thousands of years, powerful neighbors have despised our virtues.

If Liutai is not defended, the Three Kingdoms of Korea will be reduced to ruins, Liaohai, Yanji, how many traitors are there!

The barbarian dust covered the sky, my clothes were torn off, people were holding whips and ropes, and I was humiliated as a slave.

Our ancestor Yiwei was a hero of the world. He fought bravely at the Battle of Zhuolu and brought peace to the world.

How could the Miao people be so cowardly that the great Chinese nation should be destroyed

Although Mu and others were not talented, we all drew our swords and fought bravely, traveling thousands of miles across rugged terrain to serve our country.

After years of hard struggle and many dangers, hundreds of millions of people are united in overcoming all obstacles.

Return our land to us, and protect our clothes and hats. This is my wish, and I will never change my mind.

We will train our troops and make it known to our ancestors, and the Heaven and Earth will witness it.

Everyone listened with bated breath. The voice of Qin Mu's recitation echoed in the mountains, with the sound of pine waves and natural Buddhist chants. The sky was vast, the Luo River was mighty, the three armies were silent, and the thoughts of the people were surging.

Thinking back to the glorious deeds of their ancestors and thinking about the difficult current affairs and the loss of their clothes and hats, the thousands of soldiers and civilians who participated in the grand sacrifice were all filled with emotion and shed tears.

When the Mongols invaded the Central Plains, the entire Chinese territory fell, but at least they were able to preserve their clothing and customs. This time, the Qing Dynasty invaded the south, the mountains and rivers were shattered, the ground was filled with the smell of stench, and most of the people in the great Chinese country were forced to shave their heads and change their clothes in a humiliating manner, and become barbarians with gold and silver rat tails on their heads. Thinking of this, facing the ancestor Huangdi, who would not be overwhelmed with emotions and tears

After reading the sacrificial text, Qin Mu stood up, and everyone else followed suit. Qin Mu turned around and faced the thousands of soldiers and civilians. Looking down from the altar, he saw banners and crowds of people. In front of the wide altar, there was a huge crowd of people. Many of the scholars had come from thousands of miles away, with tears in their eyes.

Thousands of eyes were staring at Qin Mu. The mountain breeze blew his tall hat and wide belt, and his sleeves fluttered. Qin Mu slowly spread his sleeves and said loudly to the crowd: "When I was very young, my mother told me: There was once a big fish that lived in the North Sea. It turned into a giant bird and soared between heaven and earth. The giant bird's wings were soaring up to the sky, even if it was ninety thousand miles away.

There once was a man who rode a five-clawed golden dragon and came from the nine heavens with wind, rain, and thunder. From the moment he set foot on the vast earth, he was not afraid of difficulties and dangers. He opened a passage through the mountains, fought a bloody battle in the wilderness of Zhuolu, leveled the mountains and rivers for thousands of miles, divided the land into borders, formulated a code of law, and opened up the glorious 5,000 years of China.

Over the years, when I looked at the dust covering the Chinese sky, and the figures who were forced to shave their heads and tie their hair into pigtails under the sharp butcher's knife, I always felt endless bitterness rushing up my throat, and I always heard a voice shouting loudly: "Remember? Your ancestors are called Yanhuang!"

When the two words "Yanhuang" came out of Qin Mu's mouth, the soldiers of the three armies and thousands of civilians below all burst into tears and sobbed.

Qin Mu continued, "Over the years, China has suffered many disasters. Although the Emperor Ming worked hard to govern the country, treacherous ministers were in power in the palace. They used all means to attack dissidents for their own selfish interests. In the four seas, wars were raging, and people were suffering. As a result, the Tartars took advantage of the situation to invade, rape, plunder, and bloodbath the Central Plains.

There are also people like Fan Wencheng, Sun Zhixie, and Wu Sangui, who gave advice to the Tartars, destroyed our clothes and hats, slaughtered our people, and were willing to be slaves and running dogs, and act as accomplices of the tiger.

Today, Qin Mu came to pay homage to the ancestors of China, with the utmost respect and infinite guilt in his heart. It is us, the unworthy descendants, who have brought shame to China and our ancestors! "

The crying in front of the altar was louder. Tens of thousands of pine and cypress trees in the mountains swayed in the wind like people kneeling in worship. An atmosphere of guilt and solemnity filled the mountain.

Qin Mu suddenly drew out his Juque sword, pointed it at a distance, and shouted, "Bring up the offerings for our ancestors."

The Qin soldiers immediately brought up more than 200 shirtless prisoners, including Duoduo, Ajige, Fan Wencheng, Ning Wanwo, Sun Zhixie, etc. All of them looked pale, even Duoduo, who had killed countless people, was trembling with fear.

"Sacrifice!"

Qin Mu roared, and the Qin soldiers swung their sharp swords, and more than 200 heads fell to the ground. These culprits who had trampled and ravaged the land of China were finally brought to justice before the heroic spirits of the Chinese ancestors. The mountain wind was howling, the pine waves were like anger, and the smell of iron and blood filled the wind... ... .

Qin Mu didn't look at it any more. He turned back to face the spirit tablet, knelt down again, and said loudly: "In front of the heroic spirits of our ancestors, I solemnly swear with a guilty heart that I will always be humble and sincere throughout my life, work hard to govern, strive for strength, protect our land, and defend our country. I also hope that all the people with lofty ideals in the world can unite as one, create the glory of China again, and comfort the heroic spirits of our ancestors."

After Qin Mu took the oath, he offered wine to the God of Heaven and the Yellow Emperor, which means toasting.

Then 360 musicians played music again, and everyone performed the second offering ceremony together in the solemn and dignified music.

Then perform the final offering ceremony.

After the final offering ceremony, people drink the blessed sacrifice, which means everyone shares the wine and meat used in the sacrifice. This is the same as the folk custom of sharing the sacrificial meat after visiting the graves to worship their ancestors, which implies receiving the blessing of the ancestors.

Then the ceremonial officer praised loudly and said: "Remove the food."

The musicians played the music of Xianhe, and Qin Mu moved the bamboo trays and bowls slightly in front of the shrine, and then returned to their original positions.

The dancers hold their 籥 in the same position as the 翟. The person in charge of the festival is in the east, and he steps forward to the head of the eastern group of dancers. The person in charge of the festival steps forward to the head of the western group of dancers. He raises the festival upwards, and leads the dancers to the east and west of the altar, and they stand in order facing each other. When the music ends, the dancers raise their 籥 and 敹, and the music stops.

The next step is to send off the gods and hold a fire.

The person in charge burned 10,000 pieces of paper and 10,000 ingots of gold and silver foil. Qin Mu, Sima An and others stood at the southwest corner of the altar to watch the burning of paper money and gold and silver foil as a sign of filial piety.

Wangliao is the last procedure of the sacrifice. When the gold and silver foil paper are burned out, the whole sacrificial ceremony officially ends.

However, on Qiaoshan Mountain, the sound of pine trees had not yet subsided, and the people who participated in the sacrifice had not yet calmed down. Qin Mu's cry always echoed in people's hearts: Do you remember? Your ancestor was called Yanhuang!
