Marvel Rise of Lord God

Chapter 221: About the King's Feast

When Alice was showing the fourth-order world to the Red Queen, Thor also completed his mission and returned directly to Asgard from the main god space without stopping.

Confused Thor subconsciously walked towards the tavern in Asgard, which is one of the most lively places in Asgard. Asgardians love drinking and they love liveliness even more. In this tavern, you can see a miniature of the entire Asgard.

"Look, who's coming? It's our Thor! Everybody! Cheer!" The tavern owner shouted loudly when he saw Thor, stirring up the atmosphere of the entire tavern as usual.

Just as he shouted, the tavern did erupt in loud cheers, but this time, Thor was not distracted by the cheers as before. Instead, he focused his attention on those who did not cheer.

In this huge tavern, the ratio of cheering people to non-cheering people was exactly half and half.

Therefore, under the strange look of the tavern owner, Thor pushed him away and walked directly to the bar. Because of Thor's non-cooperation, the cheers in the tavern suddenly stopped. Everyone was wondering what was wrong with Thor.

"Is everything the same as usual, Your Highness Thor?" the boss walked up to Thor and asked.

Thor lowered his head and thought for a few seconds, "Do you have any red wine?"

"wine?"

"It's wine," Thor explained.

"Yes, yes, but isn't wine for women and children?" The boss said with some confusion. In the past, Sol provided all-you-can-drink strong liquor, why has it changed now

"Don't worry about it! Since we have it, just bring up the best!" Thor seemed to be in a bad mood.

The boss didn't say anything more, but just told the bartender to drag over an oak barrel of wine. By the way, he signaled to a smart bartender to go and ask for an audience with the goddess Frigga, Thor's mother.

After the wine was pulled up, Thor found a goblet, poured the wine into it, and drank it sip by sip. His movements were completely different from his usual self.

Soon, Frigga, who had received the report, walked to the tavern, and every Asgard who saw her on the way stopped and saluted her.

The moment the door of the tavern was pushed open and Frigga's face appeared in front of everyone, the entire tavern fell silent.

"I'm sorry to disturb your mood, but please leave here first." Frigga's words echoed directly in everyone's heart.

As Odin's spouse, Frigga's status is already very high. Coupled with her reputation as Asgard's number one magician, no one would object to this small request.

Under such circumstances, the entire tavern was soon empty.

The tavern owner ran up to Frigga, brought her to Thor, and then disappeared with his staff very sensibly.

Looking at Thor who kept pouring wine into his mouth, Frigga slowly sat down next to him, then stretched out her hand and a glass flew from the cupboard into her hand.

"Thor, let's drink together." Frigga said softly.

"No, mother, I'm fine. I just can't figure out something for the moment." Thorden said after a pause.

In Thor's life as a god for so many years, if Odin played the role of a strict father, then Frigga was undoubtedly the only kind mother. Not only him, but even Loki, the most difficult person to get along with, had a deep relationship with Frigga.

Frigga tilted the cup slightly, and the wine flowed upstream from the barrel and fell into the cup.

"I thought you changed to drinking wine because you wanted to drink with me at future banquets. Now it seems that I was wrong?" Frigga said softly.

"No, mother, I'm sorry. Actually, I drank wine only because they were drinking wine at that time." Thor said a little embarrassedly. He seldom drank with Frigga because he felt that wine could not be considered a kind of alcohol at all.

"Them? Those friends you met in Midgard? Or some companions you made there?" Frigga asked.

"Neither. If I have to say, it should be the opponents I faced during the mission, a group of respectable opponents. Oh, yes, one person has to be eliminated." Thor recalled the mission he had just completed. This mission score was the lowest he had received in such a long time.

"Respectable opponent? Can you tell me about it?" Frigga became interested. If Thor considers an opponent respectable, then there must be many highlights.

"Of course you can. But, mother, I hope you can keep what I said today a secret from father." Thor said.

The current Thor is a little bit unlike the God of Thunder who has lived for two thousand years and experienced countless battles. Instead, he is a bit like an ordinary human who has suffered a blow outside. He wants to talk but doesn't want his father to see his weak side.

"I will probably do it." Frigga didn't say anything definite. If this was just a small matter, Frigga would keep it a secret from Odin, but if it was a big matter, then Frigga would definitely take the initiative to tell Odin, no matter how much Thor asked, she would not change her mind. After all, Odin was his father, and there were some things Odin should and must know.

Thor knew what his mother meant. He was silent for a moment, drank the wine in the glass in one gulp, turned around and looked at Frigga, then spoke slowly.

"It was a banquet, a banquet for the king."

Frigga nodded. "Are you one of them?"

"No, I... I'm not qualified to sit there yet." Thor hesitated and said, "And the other party didn't invite me."

As he was talking, Thor recalled the scene at that time. Although he was there, he was more like a person who came to drink for free rather than to attend the banquet. What's more, he didn't get to drink the wine in the end.

Frigga waited patiently for Thor to continue speaking, and at the same time she felt the power of Odin enveloping the tavern.

While Thor was reminiscing, Frigga glared at the rooftop and then waved her hand to block the entire tavern. This old bastard was still eavesdropping here.

Odin sat on the throne and smiled helplessly. If it was someone else, he would have just forced open the shield, but since it was his wife, forget it. Anyway, if it was really necessary, Frigga would definitely tell him.

Odin used his divine power to eavesdrop only because he wanted to know what was troubling his son. Since returning from Midgard last time, Thor's performance has been much better than before, except that sometimes he would not be very smart and would want to use the Rainbow Bridge to find Loki.
