Marvel Rise of Lord God

Chapter 264: Why are you so skilled?

"But waiting until dark in this room is not a good idea. Why don't we go look for rats here together?" Busujima Saeko suggested.

"I've looked around. Although the hints given by the main god space are not as detailed as those in this book, it also mentioned that there are rats in this castle. So before looking for you, I looked everywhere, but there was not a single hair of rat." Kidd shook his head. It would be great if it was just a group of rats.

The rats that Delapore's descendants couldn't deal with weren't necessarily something particularly scary to them. Did they know about incendiary bombs? Did they know about poison gas bombs? They would kill as many as they could, leaving no one alive, and that would be considered ridding the world of the four pests.

"No way, did you miss something, or does this castle have secret places like dark rooms, cellars, or mezzanines?"

"Impossible! I'm a professional at finding dark rooms. I can easily find any modern treasure house, no matter how deeply hidden it is, let alone an ancient castle like this." Kidd said confidently.

If people in their line of work can't find a dark room, they will be laughed at by their peers.

"What if these dark rooms are sealed or protected by some mysterious power like magic?" Busujima Saeko asked back.

Kidd was speechless for a moment. After all, he didn't know the extent of the magic in this world because he had never understood it.

Squeak~ Kidd's ears moved slightly, catching the tiny sound coming from the air.

"What's wrong?" Busujima Saeko became nervous.

"Shh." Kidd raised his index finger to make a silent gesture, then slowly closed his eyes and listened attentively to the sound in the wind.

He sensed that a cellar opening appeared on the first floor of the castle, and a gloomy wind blew out from there, disrupting the circulation within the entire castle.

"It seems you're right." Kidd said after opening his eyes.

"Ah? No way..."

A minute later, at the entrance of the cellar, Busujima Saeko and Kidd were squatting there together. It was dark inside the cellar and nothing could be seen.

Kidd glanced at the sky outside through the window. The "sun" was already halfway below the horizon, and night was about to come.

"Stealing." Kidd stretched out his hand in the air, and a ball of faint fluorescence appeared in his hand. Then he threw it into the cellar. The fluorescence fell to the ground, blooming for a moment, illuminating the surroundings.

But wherever the light shone, there were nothing but stairs. The entrance to this cellar was connected to a spiral staircase, and the internal structure was completely invisible before entering.

"What should we do? Go down and take a look?" Busujima Saeko asked softly.

Kidd estimated in his mind the time it would take for the light to completely fade away, then shook his head, "Forget it, come and help me."

After saying that, Kidd lifted the stone slab at the entrance of the cellar with both hands, then leaned his whole body against it. Busujima Saeko cooperated with him and worked together to close the huge stone slab weighing nearly a thousand pounds.

Bang! The stone slab fell and a cloud of dust exploded directly. Kidd flipped his palm slightly, and several yellow talismans were clamped between his fingers. Then he shook his wrist, and the talismans shot to the gap between the stone slab and the ground, like a seal, sealing the three gaps around the stone slab.

Busujima Saeko looked closely and found that the talisman was the same one as hers, both were works by master Lin Zhengying, but Kidd's was a set, while she bought the ones in bulk.

After sealing it with the yellow talisman, Kidd very skillfully took out a small jar again, which was filled with specially processed French salt.

With a gentle tap on the jar, French salt began to slowly fall from a small hole at the bottom of the jar, drawing a large circle on the ground with Kidd's steps, enclosing the entire stone slab in the middle.

It’s not over yet.

Kidd took out four crosses and four little finger-sized bottles of holy water, placed the crosses at four locations on the stone slab, and then took up the holy water and poured it on the crosses.

"Oh my god... your combination of Chinese and Western is unmatched. How did you become so proficient in it?" Busujima Saeko was watching from the side, stunned.

"You don't want to know." Kidd shook his head, his voice full of stories. He didn't want to be so skilled in this kind of thing, but he had to do it because of life.

"Okay, this is the best seal I can make right now, I hope it works."

Busujima Saeko once again received a message from the main god space. She took a quick look at the title and found that it was indeed a castle infested with rats.

"I found that you might be right. I received the mission, and maybe it really is related to the length of stay." Busujima Saeko said.

"We can't be too sure. We've been here less than two hours at most. Logically, you should have received the mission even later." Kidd shook his head.

As the two were talking, the "sun" completely set, and the darkness instantly swallowed up all the light. The entire castle suddenly became dark, and Kidd took out a nuclear flashlight from space and illuminated the small area where they were standing.

As soon as the flashlight was taken out, the prompt sound from the main god space came.

Kidd paused and said, "Let's go back to the room first. It's pitch dark here and we can't see what's going on."

"Okay, OK." Busujima Saeko reached out and grabbed Kid's clothes. The night here was pure black, without any light. It was pitch black all around and nothing could be seen clearly.

Squeak~

As the flashlight swept over, the sounds of several mice suddenly rang out.

Kidd: "Did you hear that?"

"What?"

"It sounds like there are mice chirping."

Busujima Saeko held her breath and concentrated. It was so quiet around her that she could only hear her own heartbeat. "No, I didn't hear any screams."

"I see. If you hear it, remember to tell me."

Just as Kidd finished speaking, a dark shadow emerged from the surrounding darkness and jumped past the flashlight.

"Did you see that?"

"What?"

"Something just jumped in front of us."

"No, I didn't see anything." Busujima Saeko shook her head.

On the way back to the room, the two fell silent. Busujima Saeko put her hand on the knife at her waist. With the arrival of night, the warmth emitted by the knife seemed to dissipate a lot, as if something had sucked away the warmth.

Kidd hid his left hand in his sleeve, his muscles tensed. He felt like he was being targeted. He had clearly received the mission, so why was he the only one who could hear the rats' cries and see their shadows
