Chapter 333: courage

Views:

The leader of these flying mutant creatures is a giant bald eagle with two pairs of giant wings that are more than ten meters long. Between its sharp feathers that seem to be cast from steel, dark magic surges like a tide.

The rod-type warhead of the air-to-air missile hit its body, but only produced a ball of sparks and sent a few feathers flying, without causing any substantial damage at all.

Magic power surged, and the bald eagle's speed instantly reached its limit, several times the speed of sound. The air rubbed violently, emitting a dazzling flash.

The fighter jets' onboard radars captured its trajectory, but there was no time to react or intercept it.

The flash turned into a long streak in the air and rushed into the bomber group in an irresistible manner.

The bald eagles didn't even need to change their posture, they could just use their flesh and blood bodies to crash into those sturdy B-52 bombers.

"boom!"

The fuselages of several B-52 bombers were neatly cut in half by their wings. The air shock waves surrounding the sea eagles tore apart these giant steel birds, leaving a series of explosions in the sky.

The entire bomber group suffered a devastating blow.

Some crew members tried to use the six-barreled machine gun to fight back, but they could not find the Sea Eagle at all.

One by one, manually operated power armor flew out from the bomber's bomb bay.

Due to their size, these power armors cannot carry large-scale lethal weapons, and are not practical for dealing with these astonishing numbers of mutant creatures. Therefore, they are installed in the bomber's ammunition bay as the last line of defense for the bomber.

But even with their engines running at maximum power, they still couldn't catch up with the incredibly fast mutant leader, which blasted out several impact beams from a distance.

Even with advanced fire control radar and fire control computer, these impact beams still didn't even touch the edge of the bald eagle.

The bomber fleet could only try to maintain its formation and fly towards the mutant creatures that were surging towards the west coast like a tide.

Every pound of bomb they threw at the mutants would reduce the pressure on their comrades on the ground defense line.

"boom!"

With a loud bang, a second sun appeared in the sky.

A fighter jet launched a Falcon AIM-47A air-to-air missile with a nuclear warhead at the flying mutants as they were thrown into chaos by the continuous explosions.

This heavy air-to-air missile has long been withdrawn from active service, and the tactical nuclear warheads it carried have also been sealed.

Stark Industries reactivated these veterans that served during the Cold War, refurbishing and improving them and putting them back into service.

If Stark Industries had not been an important supplier to the US military, it would not have been able to resolve the compatibility issue between the AIM-47A air-to-air missile and the F-15SA so quickly.

Because of the limited space in the warhead, the equivalent of the nuclear warhead was not large, but it still wiped out a large number of mutant creatures in the sky.

The mutant creature that survived was severely burned and had multiple fractures, but its tenacious vitality allowed it to continue flapping its wings and fly towards the bomber group.

The fighters rushed forward and fought with their machine guns. Some pilots even ran their aircraft directly into the flying mutants after running out of cannon ammunition.

If the West Coast Alliance was destroyed by mutant creatures, there would be no place for humans to stand in the entire Americas. Their families and friends would also be doomed.

However, such a tragic method still failed to stop the flying mutant creatures. Instead, fighter jets were constantly shot down by the magic energy beams spewed by the flying creatures in close-range dogfights.

Soon, the flying creatures flew into the bomber formation. Dozens of unmanned power armors were swallowed up almost without any resistance. Only a few beams of light could be seen sporadically.

A moment later, the entire airspace was completely occupied by mutant creatures.

Only the terrifying glow of the large laser cannon, like the whip of God, lit up between heaven and earth.

Large groups of mutated creatures were burned to ashes in the light.

But compared with the number of terrifying mutated creatures, such losses are just a drop in the bucket.

Several demons disguised as mutants mixed in with these mutants that had already fallen into madness. Even they themselves did not expect that just driving the mutants from several nearby states would have such a good effect.

Before those planets were swallowed by the dark dimension, they would experience various devastating natural disasters, and most of the life would be extinct in the disasters. Even if they were lucky enough to survive the extinction, they would die in large numbers after entering the dark dimension and being in an environment with high dark magic power. Only a very few lucky ones could survive.

But the situation is different for the Earth that is connected to the dark dimension. The concentration of dark magic in the atmosphere is slowly rising in a curve. This allows a large number of creatures on Earth, especially on the American continent, to have the opportunity to adapt to the dark magic.

This rare opportunity, which only occurs once in hundreds of millions of years, has allowed mutant creatures to appear on Earth at an unprecedented rate.

These mutated creatures had already reached a critical point. Even if the West Coast Alliance tried its best to clean them up, it would only be a temporary solution. The demons became the last straw that broke the camel's back.

All the small human settlements and survivors along the way were wiped out by the tide of mutant creatures. Only those fallen humans who were no different from wild beasts were accepted and integrated into the beast tide.

Soon, the easternmost outpost of the West Coast Federation saw the mutant creatures pouring in on the ground like a tide.

Tony Stark did not support only one side of the Vibranium Shield like the original Wakanda. This would not have any depth, and once the outer Vibranium Shield was breached, the enemy could directly penetrate the unprotected hinterland.

As a bridgehead, Point No. 1 is also equipped with a vibranium shield. The former 9th Division stationed there is equipped with a large number of heavy weapons and can also receive support from the rear.

The M270 rocket launcher roared first, and bright rockets whizzed into the mutant community.

The Phalanx close-in defense guns removed from the destroyer roared and tore the mutant creatures in the air into pieces.

The artillery on the artillery position roared, and iron and fire were poured onto the enemy's heads. A mutant creature's legs were cut off by shrapnel, and it fell to the ground, tumbling. Before it could stand up, it was trampled into a pulp by its own kind behind it.

The mutant creatures, which had been weakened by long-range indirect fire, were facing the tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and Stryker armored vehicles on the battlefield.

One mutant after another was hit and exploded in the air. But the mad mutants behind them showed no fear and charged forward directly.

Finally, with a loud bang, the swarm of mutant creatures finally crashed into the vibranium shield. They used their claws and fangs to tear at the shield with all their might.

There were even some powerful individuals that extended parts of their limbs into the shield.
