If two choices were really presented, one was "the opportunity to become a saint" and the other was "the life of a disciple", I'm afraid very few people would be able to choose the second one.
Let alone emotion or compassion, "saint" is the ultimate dream of all extraordinary beings.
Besides, if one could really become a saint, it would not be difficult to bring his dead disciples back to life.
Of course, whether you want to resurrect them after they are sanctified is another matter.
All in all, it's hardly a choice, not even a choice that one would be torn between.
But the problem is that reality is not that simple.
Giving up "the lives of his disciples" does not mean that he, the Great Sun Tathagata, will definitely get the "opportunity to become a saint."
The Great Sun Tathagata thought that what was revealed in Ye Zan's threat was that the other party seemed to have extraordinary means of moving space.
Recalling the situation when Ye Zan appeared here, Tathagata felt that the other party might not be bluffing.
However, no matter what, there is no harm in trying it.
Thinking of this, the Great Sun Tathagata had a plan in mind, and used his magical power to reach out and grab Ye Zan.
Ye Zandu has transformed into a star, a large fireball with a diameter of millions of kilometers, pouring light, heat, and radiation ruthlessly around.
As for the Great Sun Tathagata, even though his body shape can be called a "giant Buddha", in front of Ye Zan, he is just as "small" as Mercury in front of the sun.
However, when the Great Sun Tathagata stretched out his palm, he saw an extremely huge palm shadow appearing in the space above and below Ye Zan.
This magical power is probably the so-called "Buddha Kingdom in the Palm of the Palm", which even the Great Sage Qitian, who has been fighting for hundreds of thousands of miles, cannot escape.
In fact, the space that Ye Zan came to was itself a Buddhist-like space opened up by the Tathagata Great Sun.
Therefore, no matter how huge Ye Zan becomes, it is equivalent to being transformed in the palm of the Great Sun Tathagata, and just like the Monkey King, he cannot turn over no matter how many somersaults he turns.
The magical power used by the Great Sun Tathagata at this time was to completely seal this space, thereby completely confining Ye Zan in it.
Seeing the palms blocking the space up and down, Ye Zan said with a smile without any panic: "Haha, if the great monk doesn't believe in my ability, then I will give you a chance to make you give up completely!"
As the voice fell, Ye Zan's incarnation of a star suddenly moved inwards and turned back into a human body with a "swish".
Then there was another "swish", and under the restraint of the palm shadow, Ye Zan's figure disappeared without a trace.
Of course, Ye Zan did not really go to the Buddhist kingdom and have a star come like the threat just now.
Just like a nuclear bomb that is not launched has deterrent effect, threats that are not implemented can make people fearful, otherwise it will only make the other party give up.

This bald man is a disciple of the Great Sun Tathagata and one of the Dharma Protectors of the Buddhist Kingdom. He is basically the gatekeeper of the Buddhist Kingdom.

It's very simple, but it's also very clear. At least it shows that after Ye Zan disappeared, he did go to the Buddhist country of Buddhism.
As for reading the scriptures, that is a trivial matter that you don’t need to worry about.
They are already at the level of true immortals, and the scriptures have more of a symbolic meaning.
Therefore, Ye Zan proved that the previous threat was indeed capable of suddenly playing the role of star coming in the Buddhist kingdom.
Of course, as long as the Great Sun Tathagata is there, or other "Buddhas" of this level are in the Buddha's kingdom, it is not difficult to protect the disciples from Ye Zan's attack.
But as the saying goes, "You can only commit a thousand days to be a thief, but there is no thousand days to guard against a thief." Do Buddhas like the Great Sun Tathagata do nothing but guard their disciples in the Buddha's kingdom all day long
Moreover, what is really important is that Ye Zan proved that "come and go with ease", which means that the great sun Tathagata cannot catch him.
If you can't catch people, how can you force them to question the "Origin World"
Use other people to threaten Ye Zan
It is not certain whether you can threaten the other party, but the threat the other party gives you is something you cannot bear.
"How about it, great monk, do you want to continue?"
Seeing that the Great Sun Tathagata was silent there, probably because there were steps to go down the stage, Ye Zan took the initiative to ask very thoughtfully.
From Ye Zan's side, he is not willing to engage in a life-and-death fight with others unless necessary.
Ye Zan himself is not afraid of anything, but he still has some scruples in this world.
Those scruples would not make him willing to give up the opportunity to become a saint, but they would also make him remember not to do things to perfection when doing things.
Just like just now, when he ran to the Buddhist kingdom of Buddhism, he did not choose to come directly to the star, but captured Venerable Anuo to prove that his threat was not empty talk.
After thinking about the pros and cons, the Tathagata had no choice but to accept the reality. He first lifted the meaningless spatial confinement, and then said with a sigh: "It seems that when the little friend came to see me, he had already thought about it. After all this, I am using Buddhism as a chicken to scare the monkeys.”
"Don't say it so sadly. Who told you that you came to me first?" Ye Zan released the restraint on Venerable Anuo and allowed Venerable Anuo to fly to the side of the Great Sun Tathagata, looking up into the void. Somewhere in it, he said: "I hope this time will be enough, otherwise..."
