"My lips are really a little dry right now." Ning Gu touched his lips.

"No." Lian Chuan said.

"Really?" Ning Gu hesitated for a moment, then leaned over and kissed Lian Chuan on the lips, "Do you know what this is doing?"

"… Do you want to tell me?" Lian Chuan asked.

"No one should be unaware of this, right?" Ning Gu leaned back and looked at him, "You big bug are really not a human being."

Lian Chuan smiled.

"When I was a kid, I spied on Sister Qi's date, and she beat me from Shelter No. 1 to Shelter No. 3," Ning Gu said as he leaned over to Lian Chuan's lips and kissed him again, "My nose and face were swollen."

"Is it so tragic?" Lian Chuan said with a smile, "Lei Yu and Chun San both kissed in front of me."

"We travelers are not that annoying," Ning Gu thought for a moment, "the people in the main city are really weak."

"What kind of logic is this?" Lian Chuan's lips fell on the corner of his mouth and did not move away.

"I don't know." Ning Gu hugged him and kissed him back vigorously. He was putting all his strength into it, very heroic, very much like a traveler.

Lian Chuan held onto an iron rack nearby.

Compared with the structure of this laboratory, the iron frame was not very strong. Under the vibration, a frame hanging on the top floor broke and fell down.

Lian Chuan was sure that he could get the two men away, but he did not move.

Ning Gu didn't move either.

The silver beam that burst out from under their feet suddenly rolled up and closed above the two of them.

Then a golden light appeared, and the falling shelf seemed to be frozen, stopping in the golden light in mid-air.

"Are the detection results out?" Chen Fei walked into the laboratory.

"Not yet. There are only the last three channels left." Chun San supported his forehead with his fingers and frowned. "I'm not optimistic. The channels that are most likely to have molten fire reserves are all empty. I'm afraid there is no hope for these three either."

"Follow the cracks of the scavenger?" Chen Fei asked.

"We're already trying, but what we can detect now are mostly cracks that cut off our previous molten fire pathways, with a small amount of molten fire inside," Chun San sighed softly, "Let's see if Lian Chuan and the others can detect any useful information. The main city didn't use molten fire as its main energy source at first, so there should be reserves in the outer wasteland that we haven't detected."

"But if we need to use it in large quantities, how to transport it back is also a problem." Chen Fei also sighed.

"There is still time," Chun San said, "In three to five years, we can gather all the technology and manpower, produce equipment, and build channels... In the process, we may discover new energy sources."

"You are very optimistic." Chen Fei smiled.

"The most difficult battle is over. Why shouldn't we be optimistic?" Chun San said, "But you and Consul General Su are probably not that optimistic."

"Well," Chen Fei nodded, "Before the energy problem is finally solved, we can't be optimistic. After this war, it will be difficult to manage the people in the same way as before. Too many people have experienced recklessness and too many people have experienced a desperate battle. They can't go back to the past."

"Yes, there are also travelers and bats. There are too many unstable factors and it will take a long time." Chun San said.

"It is impossible for a leader to be fair, but those who survived now already know what resistance is, and the resistance they have realized under such circumstances is stronger than ever before. The ideal rule is still a long way off." Chen Fei lowered his voice.

Chun San didn't say anything.

"I'm leaving first. General Su and the head of the delegation are going to meet in a while. Lei Yu and I will go together." Chen Fei looked at the screen. "You go ahead and get busy."

"Jiuyi is not attending the meeting?" Chun San asked.

"He doesn't even want to enter the main city," Chen Fei said, "He only wants the Lost Valley part of the Black Iron Wasteland... I will discuss the specific future cooperation and management with him in private."

Chun San felt tired just by listening to Chen Fei's casual words.

"I have a vision. I had this idea since the first time I saw E's puppet army," Chen Fei took two steps to the door and stopped, looking at Chun San, "but I haven't mentioned it to anyone."

"Why do you want to tell me this?" Chun San turned around.

"You are a technician and don't have too many other interests to consider," said Chen Fei.

"Hmm?" Chun San looked at him.

"The leader roughly explained the state of the puppet to me," Chen Fei said, "Before entering the final puppet stage, it is in a state of stagnation, as if the consciousness is forever stopped at a certain second in time."

"Yes." Chun San nodded.

"If, I mean if," Chen Fei said, "we can save some people in this way, reduce the population, keep only those necessary for development, and reduce energy consumption. After solving the problem of molten fire reserves..."

Chun San looked at Chen Fei in shock, and spoke after a long time: "Minister Chen, the puppet state is irreversible."

"It's irreversible now, but it may not always be irreversible," Chen Fei said, "Is Ning Gu's friend Dingzi still in Lost Valley? If he can eventually recover..."

"Your idea is a bit scary." Chun San turned his chair.

"So I just told you." Chen Fei said, "Do you think it is technically feasible? Save these people and ensure their safety and health under the premise of reversibility."

"Okay," Chun San looked at him, "but..."

"But the rest is my business," Chen Fei said. "I know what you want to say, how to explain it to everyone, whether the plan needs to be made public, how to ensure fairness, how to select people... I will consider all of these."

"Aren't you afraid that you will become the next Liu Dong?" Chun San asked.

"I will never become the next Liu Dong," Chen Fei said. "What I want is a world that can eventually give everyone a sense of security."

"Finally?" Chun San looked at him.

"It's a world that I may never see in my lifetime," Chen Fei said, "but I will do it. I will bear the risks in the process. There must be a villain, and I don't mind if it's me."

After Chen Fei left the laboratory, Chun San stared at the screen for a long time. He didn't know what he was thinking, nor could he figure out his mood.

It was not until she received a message from Consul General Su's transport vehicle on the screen that she came to her senses and looked at the content of the message with some excitement.

This is the first message Lianchuan and Ninggu received after their departure.

-We found the remains of the former main city, high walls and an empty laboratory. No new discoveries, we will continue to move forward

After reading these few short sentences in the message, Chun San came to his senses and found that the corners of his mouth were already raised.

She smiled and replied to the message.

- Received the message, everyone is well and have a nice trip

"Everyone is fine means everyone is fine, right?" Ning Gu was lying on the passenger seat with one leg bent and the other leg dangling out of the car window.

"Yeah," Lian Chuan responded, "But it should still be very busy every day, and the main city will not be peaceful. Bats and travelers can now enter and leave the main city at will. Coupled with a large number of refugees, the original order of the main city no longer exists. If we want to rebuild it, it will definitely be difficult and chaotic for a long time."

"It's tiring just thinking about it," Ning Gu glanced at Lian Chuan, "If you hadn't come out with me, would you have to help them rebuild order now?"

"I can't do those things," Lian Chuan said, "I am only suitable for..."

"Stay with me." Ning Gu said.

Lian Chuan glanced at him and said, "Yeah."

"What did you want to say?" Ning Gu laughed.

"That's about the same." Lian Chuan said.

"Almost what?" Ning Gu asked.

"I was originally the bug you left for yourself," Lian Chuan said, "I am only suitable to continue to stay with you."

"Yeah." Ning Gu smiled contentedly, "It's a pity that for many things we can no longer sort out where the beginning and the end are, where to start the cycle, where to stop, where to go..."

"No need to sort it out," Lian Chuan said, "I just want the result."

"I thought you would say you only wanted me." Ning Gu flicked his fingers on the car frame twice. "I'm disappointed."

"Let me think about how to put it," Lian Chuan said. After a moment's silence, he nodded. "You are the reason and result of my existence."

"As expected, you can write." Ning Gu said with a smile.

After leaving the laboratory, they never saw the remains of the former main city again. They didn't know whether they had walked out of the farthest range or time had passed so long that all traces had been erased.

The instruments on the car were working all the time, whether parked or moving, their route was recorded completely, and the terrain and orientation maps were drawn simultaneously. At the same time, the climate changes along the way and the changes in various components in the air were also recorded.

The screen was full of strings of characters, which Ning Gu couldn't understand, but Lian Chuan would open the records to take a look every once in a while.

"Did you find anything?" Ning Gu asked.

"No, the air quality gets better the further we go," Lian Chuan said, "and the temperature gets higher and higher."

"Let me smell it." Ning Gu opened the car window, stuck his head out and took a few deep breaths, then closed the window again, leaned close to Lian Chuan's neck and took two deep breaths, "It's just so-so, not as good as you, and not as hot as you."

Lian Chuan smiled and said, "The main city has always needed to adjust the temperature. If the temperature could be like this, a lot of energy could be saved."

"It's okay if we don't adjust it," Ning Gu said. "It's so cold in the ghost town, and it's windy all the time, but we're still living well."

"A qualified ruler always wants to give his people a better and more comfortable life. Staying alive is just the minimum requirement," Lian Chuan said. "The common people in the main city are not travelers. Ordinary people would have died long ago in such an environment."

"Well," Ning Gu thought for a moment and looked at the screen again, "Is there anything else better than the one in the main city?"

"No more." Lian Chuan said.

"Then why are you still staring at it?" Ning Gu said, "Are you bored?"

"I'm never bored," Lian Chuan said, "and I'm even less bored when I'm with you. You talk so much."

"Are you praising me?" Ning Gu asked.

"Yes." Lian Chuan nodded.

"Aren't you afraid that I'll be bored if I'm with you?" Ning Gu said, "After all, you don't have much to say."

"Just open your mouth," Lian Chuan said, "When have I ever said less..."

"That's right," Ning Gu thought about it and laughed, "Now that you think about it, you're really miserable. You're a mute, but now you say more in a day than you did in a year before."

"Yeah," Lian Chuan said, "You can tell that your face has become thinner."

"Let me see," Ning Gu propped up his arms and moved closer to him, staring at him for a long time, then sucked hard on his face, "No, it's still very beautiful."

The instrument in the car beeped.

"What's wrong?" Ning Gu sat back in the passenger seat.

"We found a high-temperature area underground," Lianchuan said. "It could be a molten layer, but the area is very large."

"Isn't that great?" Ning Gu immediately stared at the screen, although he didn't understand it either.

"It's too far," Lian Chuan said, "This transport vehicle is already at its fastest speed, and it's been driving for so long. It's too difficult to get Molten Fire from here."

"It's better than not finding it at all." Ning Gu said.

"Yeah." Lian Chuan nodded.

The ever-optimistic nature of travelers can sometimes provide a lot of support.

A small flame burst out from the ground ahead.

"Open flame?" Ning Gu was stunned. He had seen the molten fire layer. There was no open flame. It was in the same state as molten metal. The open flame was brought by the scavengers.

"It's not molten fire." Lian Chuan made the same judgment as him and quickly slowed down the car. But after another small cluster of flames burst out from the ground, he came to a conclusion that surprised even himself, "It's a living organism."

"What?" Ning Gu's voice was a little distorted.

"It wasn't scanned," Lian Chuan looked at the screen readings, "This is something that is not in the system data."

"Is that fire a living being?" Ning Gu still hadn't come back to his senses.

"It's a life form that can spit out fire," Lian Chuan stared ahead, "We need to find out what it is."

A small flame suddenly appeared very close to the left front of the car. Before they could see clearly, another one popped up, and then the two small flames twisted into one ball.

"Control!" Lian Chuan shouted, and before the car stopped completely, he had already jumped out of the window.

Ning Gu did what Lian Chuan said without any thought. He raised his hand almost subconsciously, and a ball of golden light rushed towards the two flames.

As Lian Chuan rushed to the flame, golden light enveloped the flame.

It was at this time that Ning Gu discovered that this was really a living creature.

And it is estimated that a part of it is under the ground. It was only after being wrapped in golden light that it was revealed that the size of these two things is two times larger than that of the caracal.

Lian Chuan chopped the two things twice with his hands, and they immediately stopped moving.

"You killed it?" Ning Gu jumped out of the car, "What was it?"

"Not dead." Lian Chuan squatted next to the thing.

After the golden light slowly disappeared, they could clearly see two living beings lying on the ground.

The body shape is indeed somewhat similar to that of a caracal.

They all have four legs, but the front legs of this thing are much shorter than the hind legs. Although not as thick as the hind legs, the huge hooked claws are extremely sharp. Fangs can be seen in the blunt mouth. It has round ears and no tail.

But what makes them completely different from the caracal is that they have no hair and are covered with thick diamond-shaped scales. The scales are dark blue, but their surface can refract various changing halos of light.

"It's really... beautiful." Ning Gu said, stretching out his hand and poking the nail twice, "But it doesn't feel good to touch."

The texture of the nail plates is quite hard, like touching a black iron ground.

"This nail plate..." Lian Chuan tapped it lightly twice.

"What's wrong?" Ning Gu asked.

"It feels a bit like the material of the molten fire pipe," Lian Chuan said, "Black iron can't withstand the core molten fire, so a pipe is needed to control the direction of the molten fire..."

"You mean, the scales of this thing are not natural?" Ning Gu was stunned.

"Maybe it's a mutant test subject," Lian Chuan said, "Survival of the fittest."

"What do they eat to stay alive?" Ning Gu touched the creature's belly. It looked round and seemed to be very full, but apart from the hard scales, he couldn't find anything inside.

"All the support for the main city comes from the Molten Fire," Lian Chuan said, "It is not impossible for them to rely on the Molten Fire to survive. Life will always find a way out..."

"What should we do?" Ning Gu asked.

"Catch one on the way back." Lian Chuan found a piece of armor on the ground nearby, which was probably dropped when the two of them were fighting. "Tell Chun San about this first."

After collecting the armor pieces, Lian Chuan found a lot of small holes on the ground and took some black iron samples from the holes. These could be sent back to the main city for Chun San to analyze.

After collecting these things and about to return to the car, they felt that the atmosphere around them was a little different.

When I looked to the side, I saw a small swaying black shadow appearing on the ground in the distance.

"Their companions?" Ning Gu was stunned. "They are looking at us."

"Yeah." Lian Chuan slowly backed away from the two things on the ground, "Go back to the car."

"What are you afraid of?" Ning Gu said disdainfully, "I'm not afraid of the boss, so why would I be afraid of these little hard-shelled things?"

"If these are mutant test subjects," Lian Chuan said, "you don't know what abilities the test subjects in the main city will have."

Ning Gu instantly remembered the experimental subjects he saw in Lian Chuan’s memory, as well as the scars left on Lian Chuan’s body by those experimental subjects.

"Okay." He nodded, ran suddenly and jumped into the car window.

Lian Chuan jumped in right after him, and the car rushed forward almost at the same time.

The large number of small black heads on the ground around them suddenly turned into a big mass and pounced towards them, making a hissing sound like a strong wind blowing through the Tongue Bay.

"It's so big!" Ning Gu couldn't help but roar.

"Those two were probably cubs." Lian Chuan pressed the weapon button, and a row of red lights shot toward the ground, stirring up a cloud of flying iron fragments. The car rushed out of the encirclement that had not yet been closed.

"No wonder," Ning Gu turned his head around, "Quick! Speed up, too many..."

A flame rolled towards the car body.

The fire of the cubs he had seen before was nothing compared to the fire now. Ning Gu even saw something like molten black iron in the fire, constantly hitting the car body.

"They can spit fire!" Ning Gu roared, "So fierce!"

"Savior," Lian Chuan glanced at him, "Shouldn't you protect our car?"

"I forgot!" Ning Gu was still yelling, and the golden light instantly enveloped the car, "Except for the boss, I have never seen a small animal..."

"They are not small animals," Lianchuan said. "They are fierce beasts."

"It's kind of cute," Ning Gu pressed his face against the car window and watched, "Isn't it?"

“… Maybe, the ears are round.” Lian Chuan said.

"Don't be afraid," Ning Gu said, "no more of these things will hurt you in the lab. I'm here to kill any of them."

"Yeah." Lian Chuan responded.

"Are you touched?" Ning Gu asked.

"I'm touched." Lian Chuan reached out and patted his butt, "Sit tight."

The car rushed forward for a long time before we finally could no longer see these things following us.

The instrument returned the scan results, indicating that they had just passed over a huge molten fire cavity, the downward part of which was even beyond the maximum distance that the instrument could explore.

"It's like we're driving through fire." Ning Gu looked at the terrain map that had just been drawn on the screen.

"They live in areas with molten fire," Lianchuan said. "Wherever there is molten fire, there are them."

"Is there any benefit or disadvantage to the main city?" Ning Gu asked.

"I'm not sure," Lian Chuan took the samples he had just collected and put them into the sample chamber, "After sending these to Chun San, she will be able to analyze them."

"Let's catch a small one on the way back," Ning Gu said. "The big one is about the same size as us. It's too big and there's nothing to hold. I don't want to worry about being burned to death by it on the way back."

"Yeah." Lian Chuan smiled.

After leaving the previous molten fire cave, Lian Chuan found that they seemed to have entered a huge molten fire cave array. Although they were not as huge as before, there were indeed many of them.

After being away from the main city for such a long time, they were finally able to return some useful information to Chun San.

Even if you can't find the end of the world, it's worth it.

For half a month in a row, they could see the molten fire cave nearby from the terrain scans, and they could see the fire cubs when they got closer.

… Fire cubs was the name Ning Gu gave to those life forms. Lian Chuan was forced to follow suit and call those things fire cubs, and he actually got used to it.

"I'll stop the car for a moment." Lian Chuan said.

"Hmm?" Ning Gu looked at him.

"The ground seems a little different." Lian Chuan said.

"The scan didn't detect it?" Ning Gu said.

"Yes," Lian Chuan opened the car door, "but I just feel different, the ground is loose."

"Can you feel this?" Ning Gu quickly opened the car door.

As soon as his feet touched the ground, he felt something gently hit his calf.

"There's something!" Ning Gu instantly jumped onto the roof of the car and rubbed his legs.

Then I realized there was no injury.

I suddenly felt a little embarrassed.

We have been out for too long, and we can't enjoy the relaxing and comfortable days for more than a few days. We will become lax, and once we become lax, we will be laughed at by the hyenas.

Ning Gu saw Lian Chuan glance at him.

"What are you looking at?" He clicked his tongue and jumped off the roof.

When I landed, I felt something gently hit my ankle.

"What on earth is that?" He was a little annoyed. He raised his hand and spread out a large area of golden light. The nearby ground was immediately reflected in bright gold.

Then he saw a somewhat strange scene.

Countless small black cubes were floating on the endless ground all around.

"What are these?" Ning Gu asked in shock.

Lian Chuan slowly squatted down, gently picked up a piece with his hand, and looked at it carefully: "It's black iron ground."

"What do you mean?" Ning Gu didn't understand, so he walked to Lian Chuan and squatted down.

"It's the black iron ground that's detached." Lian Chuan looked around. "I can't really explain what it means. There shouldn't be any problem with gravity. Why is this happening?"

"Even if there is a problem with gravity," Ning Gu also took a piece of black iron, and when he let go, the black iron just hung in the air, "Can the ground still break apart if gravity changes?"

"And it's broken so..." Lian Chuan frowned, "The shape is regular."

Square gaps can also be seen on the ground, as if some force had cut these small pieces of iron one by one and thrown them into the air.

"Isn't it... that we are almost at the end of the world?" Ning Gu said.

"Look ahead again," Lian Chuan stood up and looked ahead, "There must be something unusual ahead."

"Yeah." Ning Gu went back to the car with him.

When the car drove forward again, Lian Chuan discovered that the instrument had malfunctioned.

"Give me the finger-stud," he said.

"What does 'out of order' mean?" Ning Gu immediately stood up and went to pick up the box that represented the status of the boss of Shitu Valley.

"Nothing can be scanned," Lian Chuan said, "and the information transmission with the main city has failed."

Ning Gu said nothing, took out Jiuyi's finger spikes and stuffed them into his coat.

After driving for a while in silence, he looked out the window and said, "If this is the end of the world, it's not romantic enough."

“But this is the place you want to go and see,” Lianchuan said. “When you see it, it’s romantic.”

"What do you think it will be like?" Ning Gu asked.

"I don't know," Lian Chuan said, "maybe it will be a surprise."

"What if it was a shock?" Ning Gu looked at him.

"What do you think?" Lian Chuan also looked at him.

"As long as you are around," Ning Gu raised his eyebrows, "nothing can scare me anymore."

As long as you are here, I am myself.

He is the strongest person in the world. He is the beginning, the end, the savior, and he can smash and destroy.

The suspended little black iron began to change after the car had been driven for nearly another day.

The large piece of black iron that was originally suspended just below the knees began to change in height, and many of them were already at waist level. They had to install a fender in front of the car to prevent collision.

The density of the small black iron blocks has also changed, and they are denser than what we saw before.

As they continued forward, when the small black iron breaker slowly exceeded the height of the car, they had no way to keep the car moving forward at a normal speed. A short-term collision would be fine, but a long-term collision would cause damage to the car body, and they also had to consider the safety of the return trip.

When getting out of the car to check the condition of the car and the surrounding situation, Lian Chuan saw several small black iron blocks that were not quite the same.

A small piece of black iron with the color of molten fire.

"Why is it hard?" Ning Gu pinched a piece in his hand and found that the molten fire had no temperature, nor was it in the state of molten fire. It was like the color of molten fire was painted on black iron.

"This was cut after it solidified," said Lian Chuan.

"Solidified?" Ning Gu was stunned for a moment, then lowered his head to look at the ground under his feet, "You mean... the things here began to solidify, and then fell off..."

Lian Chuan always had a vague guess in his heart, but he was not sure.

He pulled Ning Gu back to the car and continued to slowly pass through the small black iron block hanging in the air.

Not long after driving, he saw a larger area of molten blocks.

In large pieces, it looks like a whole clot has been cut into countless small pieces, and even the general shape of the previous one has been maintained.

It's like the blurred pixels on an enlarged picture.

"The car can't be driven anymore," Ning Gu said, "Should we go forward or turn around?"

"You must want to move forward." Lian Chuan said.

"You will definitely accompany me." Ning Gu said.

"Well," Lian Chuan smiled, "get a travel vehicle and some supplies."

"Okay." Ning Gu nodded.

The accompanying vehicle could carry a lot of things, enough food and drinks for a week. After putting everything in place, they continued to walk forward.

It was very quiet, no wind, no sound.

But if you stop, you will find that the densely packed small blocks around you, which are so dense that you can't see the top, are moving at an extremely slow speed in the same direction as them.

So there must be something ahead.

It’s just that this place is like walking into a space of consciousness where there is nothing.

Clearly, everywhere within sight was filled with blocks, and he needed to use his ability to push the blocks aside to clear space before he could move forward, but the space was so empty that it was suffocating.

If Lian Chuan hadn't been there, Ning Gu wasn't sure if he would still be so persistent in wanting to find out what was going on.

What is outside the black fog? What is the end of the world like

What he had always wanted to know.

But he could no longer remember why he must have wanted to know.

He already knew too much.

What made this trip more enjoyable for him was having Lian Chuan by his side.

They walked forward in this dead silence for the whole day.

Just when Ning Gu was beginning to waver and wanted to ask Lian Chuan whether he wanted to continue walking, Lian Chuan stopped.

"Hmm?" Ning Gu looked at him immediately, and a beam of silver light instantly burst out from under his feet.

"In front, they are moving faster," Lianchuan said, "I feel the terrain has changed."

"Let me try." Ning Gu squatted down and put his hands on the ground.

Golden light spread out from under his palm and extended forward.

The small cubes hanging in the air were reflected in gold from below.

In the brilliant light and dark, the golden light suddenly disappeared about one or two hundred meters ahead.

"There is no way!" Ning Gu shouted.

In the dead silence, his voice traveled far away, carrying with it an empty loneliness.

"Let's go and take a look." Lian Chuan said.

Ning Gu held Lian Chuan's hand, wrapping them both in golden light.

As expected, there was a cliff ahead.

But unexpectedly, there was no road below the cliff.

The golden light of Ninggu poured down along the cliff, like a huge waterfall hanging in the darkness.

There was nothing in front of them, and endless darkness swallowed everything.

Those small cubes that kept leaving the ground and floating in the air slowly moved forward gradually lost their color and shape here, and silently merged into the boundless black in front.

"Is this... the end?" Ning Gu asked softly.

"Maybe." Lian Chuan looked ahead.

"Then these... things," Ning Gu reached out and gently touched the small cubes flying forward, "Is our world breaking apart?"

Lian Chuan didn't say anything.

If what they saw was the real end.

Their world is indeed slowly falling apart, bit by bit.

Slowly solidifies and slowly falls off.

Maybe one day, a long, long time from now, this world will come to an end like this.

But they will no longer know what will happen then.

"We have managed to keep the world," Ning Gu said, his voice somewhat confused, "or have we not?"

"Even if we disappear one day, we can't be killed," Lian Chuan said, "Maybe we will still end, but there will always be people who won't give up until the last second."

"There is something there." Ning Gu pointed forward.

In the distance, there is a bright light.

Like a warm yellow light.

It also looks like a window letting in light.

This bright light moved slowly horizontally from left to right.

"What is it?" Ning Gu asked.

A dark shadow swayed in the light, and then stopped in the middle.

"It's Ye Xi." Lian Chuan said.

"Ye Xi?" Ning Gu was a little confused, "How come we can see him?"

"That's the room in the main city that I saw before," Lian Chuan said, "No one has ever gone in. I saw Ye Xi there who couldn't leave."

"The recorder?" Ning Gu said, "That's right."

"Yeah." Lian Chuan held Ning Gu's hand.

Ning Gu took Lian Chuan's hand and slowly raised it above his head.

"Ye Xi!" He roared, his voice spreading far away, "Ye-Xi!"

Lian Chuan's ears were ringing from the shock, but he did not stop Ning Gu.

A beam of silver light burst out from Ning Gu's fingertips, like a sharp blade, cutting through the darkness, rushing forward, pointing towards the window.

Then golden light appeared around the silver light, and suddenly exploded silently in the darkness, creating a huge firework.

"I will never give up!" Ning Gu roared, "No one can decide whether we live or die! We are the beginning, not the end! There will never be an end! There will always be a savior who is looking for a way out!"

"My name is Ning Gu!" Ning Gu lowered his voice and glanced at Lian Chuan.

"My name is Lian Chuan." Lian Chuan said.

"We are the variable that you can never control," Ning Gu said, "You will record us again and again. In your records, every page will have us. We must be alive."

Lian Chuan held Ning Gu's hand tightly.

Two small spots of light flashed across the back of my hand.

The window in the distance gradually became smaller and finally disappeared into the darkness.

"Going back?" Lian Chuan asked.

"Yes," Ning Gu said, "I want to contact the administrator."

"Yeah." Lian Chuan responded.

"Don't you want to ask me what I want to do?" Ning Gu said.

"The world will not disappear until we die," Lianchuan said, "but there will always be a day, before that..."

"We will meet again." Ning Gu said.
