The person who opened the door for me was a middle-aged man in his forties. To be honest, I couldn't see anything special about him, but the big yellow dog following him made me take a second look.
I don't know much about dogs, and I can't tell what breed that dog is, but I can see a gleam of light flowing slowly in the dog's eyes. If I'm not mistaken, it should be a demon-exorcist dog.
My grandfather told me that dogs have a much higher perception than humans. Sometimes dogs can see ghosts that humans cannot see clearly. Moreover, there are dogs that have the same natural yin-yang vision as humans, and that is the demon-hunting dog.
The demon-exorcist dog is one in a million. Not only is it born with a strong spirituality, it can even bite ghosts. It is the helper that sorcerers dream of. If you want to know whether a dog is a demon-exorcist dog, just stare into its eyes. There is usually an indescribable luster in the eyes of the demon-exorcist dog, which is what sorcerers call brilliance.
I fell in love with the yellow dog at first sight and quickly gave Ye Jin a wink. The latter shook his head helplessly, probably meaning that it was not a good idea.
Seeing that neither of us spoke, Lao Bai on the other side immediately became unhappy: "Ye Jin, what are you doing here? If you want to stand outside and starve, I'll close the door."
"Drink your grandma's leg!" Ye Jin pushed the door open and walked in. "Let's stop talking nonsense today. I'm here to collect the debt. If you don't pay me back today, I'll use my dog as collateral."
Lao Bai was immediately furious: "I don't have any money, but I have my life!"
"I don't want your life, I only want the dogs' lives." Ye Jin sneered, "You may have forgotten, kid? When you owed me money, you mortgaged all your dogs to me. Now my name is written on all the dog certificates. If you dare to say 'no' today, I will take all the dogs away immediately and send them to the dog meat restaurant tomorrow morning."
"You you..." Lao Bai said the word "you" several times before finally giving in. "Brother Ye, as long as you don't touch my dog, I'll do anything to you. Just let me go back to the house and wash myself, I promise..."
"Get lost!" Ye Jin cursed, "I said I want the dog! This is it..."
When Lao Bai saw Ye Jin pointing at the yellow dog beside him, he almost cried out: "Brother Ye, Father Ye! Please don't try to take advantage of Da Hu. I'll do anything you want me to do! I beg you..."
When Lao Bai begged, the tiger bared its fangs immediately. Ye Jin reached out to grab the machete behind him without hesitation, and the murderous aura on his body burst out violently. If it were an ordinary dog, even if Ye Jin didn't collapse on the ground in fear, he would still bark loudly for help.
Da Hu, however, stood in front of Lao Bai without saying a word, staring at Ye Jin as if he would fight to the death if Ye Jin moved.
From the moment Da Hu took his first step, I knew I couldn't take this dog away.
A loyal dog not only protects its master, but also lives and dies with its master. If I forcibly take Dahu away, not only will I not be able to have him help me kill the enemy, but he may even die of starvation because he is separated from his master.
Lao Bai really started crying now: "Brother Ye, what do you want to do? I want to die with Da Hu! As long as you don't take Da Hu away, I will agree to do anything you want."
Ye Jin then spoke up, "This is my brother Wu Zhao. He's been in some trouble lately, and he wants to get a good dog that can fight and fight, preferably one that can see ghosts like Da Hu. If you have one, lend it to us for two days. I promise to return it to you after we're done."
Lao Bai then wiped his tears and said, "Wait, I'll think of a solution for you."
After saying that, Lao Bai turned and went into the yard, but Da Hu stood still at the door, not allowing us to move forward even a single step.
Ye Jin sneered and said, "This kid really has some tricks up his sleeve. It seems like we really have to force him."
I asked curiously, "How do you know he still has it in stock?"
Ye Jin smiled and said, "You have never collected anything, have you? Let me tell you, anyone who likes collecting things has one or two good things hidden at the bottom of their box, which they won't easily let others see, for fear that others will covet them."
"Raising dogs like Lao Bai is actually not much different from collecting. Otherwise, why would he have so many dogs? He could just raise one or two adorable ones!"
"I've been to Lao Bai's house. He has a room that he never lets anyone in. I guess there must be good stuff there."
Ye Jin pointed at the big tiger on the ground and said, "This purebred British Mastiff is the apple of Lao Bai's eye. He owed me more than three million just for this dog. I never asked for it back, because I wanted to get a puppy. But Lao Bai never let go."
Ye Jin looked at me and said, "I know you like Da Hu. But we definitely can't get rid of Da Hu. I can only use Da Hu to force him to hand over his best stock."
I was surprised and asked, "He is unwilling to release even the big tiger, how can he release a better dog?"
"You don't understand this." Ye Jin smiled, "The closer people and dogs are, the more affection they have. Da Hu and Lao Bai are inseparable, just like his daughter. Lao Bai would rather not eat or drink than let Da Hu starve. That stock is not necessarily the same. Although it is valuable, he may not be reluctant to sell it."
Ye Jin gave an analogy: "Let's put it this way! If you lose money in business and the creditor comes to collect the debt, there are only two things you can sell for money, one is your daughter, and the other is an antique. Will you sell the antique or your daughter?"
I didn’t even think about it: “It must be selling antiques!”
"Isn't that the end?" Ye Jin pointed to the room, "Old Bai just went to look at the 'antiques'."
While Ye Jin and I were talking, Lao Bai came out with a pained expression on his face: "Good dog, I do have one, and that dog is not ordinary. Whether you can take it away depends on your own ability. I've said it in advance..."
"No need to say!" Ye Jin waved his hand and said, "If we can't take him away, we will definitely turn around and leave immediately without saying a word. We will definitely not target Da Hu."
Lao Bai finally breathed a sigh of relief: "Come with me!"
Before I saw Lao Bai's dog, I was stunned by Lao Bai's kennel - in the nearly 200-square-meter house, there was a velvet bed with a gauze curtain, and I couldn't see what was on the bed; the white porcelain bowl in the room was used to hold dog food, and it could be sold as a handicraft; especially the piece of beef in the bowl, I can guarantee that it is top-quality tenderloin, and the market price is at least 30 or 40 yuan per pound. If the dog eats this every day, the food alone will cost 100 or 200 yuan a day.
Ye Jin's eyes almost popped out of his head: "Lao Bai, are you raising a dog? Would you be so nice to your own father?"
Lao Bai was so angry that his face turned blue: "Stop talking nonsense! The goddess is behind the tent. It's up to you whether you can take her away or not."
Ye Jin said unhappily: "Call it out!"
Lao Bai rejected it directly: "It can't bark. When it's in a bad mood, it ignores everyone. Didn't you see it didn't even have breakfast?"
"I don't believe it, a dog can become a god!" Ye Jin took a few steps forward, stretched out his hand to grab the gauze curtain and pulled it outward. Before the gauze hanging on the ceiling fell to the ground, a white shadow flashed out from behind the gauze curtain and rushed straight towards Ye Jin's throat.
The moment Ye Jin suddenly leaned back and fell to the ground, his two legs kicked out in succession. If Bai Ying didn't move, he would have been kicked in the abdomen by Ye Jin twice in a row, and even if he didn't die, he would have been seriously injured on the spot. However, the opponent actually stepped on Ye Jin's chest and jumped into our midst at the moment when Ye Jin kicked out.
It was not until the other dog landed that I could see clearly that it was a relatively small pure white pastoral dog. Although the dog looked much more delicate, its eyes were a bit more fierce than Dahu's.
Is she the goddess
Lao Bai just shouted, and the goddess just looked at him, let out a low growl, turned around and pounced on Ye Jin behind her.
From the goddess landing on the ground to her roar and turning around, everything happened in an instant. Ye Jin, who was lying on the ground, was held down on the shoulder by the goddess before he could get up.
"Goddess, don't hurt anyone!"
“Woo—”
When Lao Bai's scream and Da Hu's roar came from behind me at the same time, a strong gust of wind blew up.
Big tiger!
I reacted in an instant. The goddess's low roar just now was not a protest to me, but an order for the tiger to attack from behind. Only by holding me back can it focus on dealing with Ye Jin.
The goddess is not only smart, but also a natural king. The tiger, who is considered the king of dogs, not only obeys her, but also ignores her master's orders because of her order. This shows how capable the goddess is!
I knew the tiger was coming from behind me, but I didn't turn around and fight back immediately. Instead, I rushed directly towards the goddess. I had just taken one step and I had already drawn my long sword, Rakshasa. When I took my second step towards the ground, Rakshasa had already cut through the air and slashed down at the goddess' back.
"No!" As Lao Bai's cry just sounded, the goddess suddenly twisted her body, slid under the knife and moved away, and my long knife also chopped straight towards Ye Jin's face.
I had no intention of killing the goddess, so I left some room for her. But just as I was about to put away the knife, the tiger pounced on my back.
The huge tiger weighed at least a hundred pounds, and combined with the power of the tiger's close-range sprint, it hit my back with a force of at least three hundred pounds in an instant. The long knife in my hand involuntarily pressed towards Ye Jin on the ground.
At the critical moment, I forced myself to move backwards, endured the excruciating pain of the skin on my back being torn apart by the dog's claws, and put away the long knife.
When the Rakshasa with its blade flashing stopped close to Ye Jin's nose, the tiger behind me jumped up again and put its head against my neck. At the moment when the tiger's sharp canine teeth touched my skin, the goddess in the distance suddenly let out another low roar.
Da Hu, who was about to launch a sneak attack, suddenly let go of my shoulder and stepped aside obediently.
When I turned to look at the goddess who was squinting her eyes and tensing her body, I couldn't help but feel an extremely absurd feeling in my heart - is she planning to challenge me in a one-on-one duel
