Xu Ruoxing looked around and saw Su Yi in the corner. Su Yi and Li Chen were sitting face to face. The table was filled with empty wine bottles and cups. A quick glance showed that there were at least twenty cups. Xu Ruoxing frowned and walked over to Su Yi and asked, "What's wrong with her?"
She thought it was Li Chen who drank it, but most of it was in Su Yi's stomach.
Su Yi saw her come back to her senses, and her eardrums were stinging and vibrating, as if someone was hitting them with a hammer, swelling, hurting, and making noises. Xu Ruoxing saw that Su Yi didn't say anything and sat down, so she leaned over to ask, "What's wrong with Li Chen?"
It was already evening, and more and more people were surging in the dance floor, swaying their bodies, and dazzling the eyes. Su Yi said, "She drank too much."
Xu Ruoxing had no choice but to say to Su Yi, "Go home first."
He tried to pull Su Yi, but failed. Su Yi lowered her head to look at the hand that was holding her tightly, then raised her eyes to look at Xu Ruoxing. Several memories overlapped and repeated themselves, and her temples were throbbing with severe pain.
Xu Ruoxing saw that she was pale and called out, "Su Yi?"
Su Yi said: "You help Li Chen, I will walk by myself."
Xu Ruoxing nodded, held Li Chen to look at Su Yi, and walked out. Occasionally, her shoulder was bumped. She turned her head to look at Su Yi. Su Yi was always in a trance, with unfocused eyes. Xu Ruoxing thought she was also drunk. After they went out, the deafening noise gradually dissipated. Su Yi looked at the people on the street and heard Xu Ruoxing say, "Take her back to our house first."
After saying this, Li Chen retched twice. Xu Ruoxing helped her sit down next to the flowerbed by the curb and asked Li Chen, "Why did you drink so much?"
Li Chen said nothing, waved his hand, and said in a relaxed tone: "Ruoxing, you are here."
Xu Ruoxing hummed in a neither light nor faint voice.
Su Yi stood beside them, saying nothing, her eyes full of emotions, as dark as the rich night.
Xu Ruoxing said: "Shall I take you back first?"
Li Chen said: "No, just take me to the hospital."
Xu Ruoxing looked at Su Yi, and Su Yi said, "Let her go to the hospital."
She had no choice but to help Li Chen walk to the hospital. The bar was near the hospital and only a few steps away. After they went in, Li Chen washed his face first, sat on a bench outside, drank the hangover medicine handed to him by Xu Ruoxing, and said after sobering up for a while: "You guys should go back early too?"
Xu Ruoxing said: "I'll take you upstairs."
Li Chen did not insist and nodded. Xu Ruoxing and Su Yi sent Li Chen upstairs. Li Chen wanted to sit on the bench outside Su Yuran's door to have a rest, but after sitting quietly for a few minutes, he couldn't help but walked in.
Su Yuran was reading some information. She looked up when she heard the noise. Li Chen walked in with a flushed face. Before she got close, she could smell of alcohol. She frowned and asked, "Why are you drinking again?"
Li Chen's numb mind went blank for a moment. He looked at Su Yuran blankly, "What?"
Su Yuran wanted to get out of bed, but her legs hurt so much that she curled up her calves and looked at Li Chen: "Why are you drinking again?"
Li Chen said: "I met a friend."
Su Yuran opened his mouth and said, "Drink less."
Li Chen nodded. The room was quiet, without a sound. She sat on the sofa far away from the bed, as if she was worried that the smell of her alcohol would offend Su Yu Ran. Su Yu Ran looked at her movements, frowned, and said nothing.
After a long while, Li Chen said, "Drink less, then you won't be the bait anymore?"
