Chapter 9: Dear

Is Su Yi a scumbag

Not a scumbag at all.

Their prenuptial agreement clearly stated that they were not allowed to interfere with each other's love lives, and Su Yi clearly told her that she had someone she liked and promised that she would not have any "unfaithful" behavior after marriage. Xu Ruoxing guessed that the person she liked was probably not in the country, at least, they had no chance of contact again.

In the past two years, she had never heard Su Yi tell her about the person she liked. She knew it was her birthday because her company had a fashion show that day and invited many people in the industry. As her wife, Su Yi naturally attended. They stayed in the same hotel that day and the assistant arranged a room for them. When she returned to the room, she was one step ahead of Su Yi and saw the cake first. She knew Su Yi's birthday was March 5th, which was the day before their wedding, so it was definitely not Su Yi's birthday. There were not many people who could order a cake for her, so she quickly made the connection and sent a message to Su Yi: [Do I need to give up my room for you?]

She thought Su Yi wanted to celebrate her birthday with the person she loved, so she made a concession very considerately.

Su Yi replied: [What? ]

She sent: [I saw the cake. Today is the birthday of the person you like? ]

Su Yi didn't reply for a long time. She came out of the shower and saw Su Yi sitting alone on the sofa eating cake. Seeing her come out, Su Yi asked her, "Do you want to eat?"

She walked over, and Su Yi said, "Xu Ruoxing, I won't do anything to cheat on my wife, neither mentally nor physically."

It was a very puzzling sentence. She thought about it for a long time before she realized that it might be because she asked Su Yi to give up the room that she said that.

That night, Su Yi sat alone in the living room and ate most of a piece of cake. She remembered it clearly, even the date.

July 19th.

"Wife?" Xu Ruoxing heard a voice in her ear. She came back to her senses and found that Su Yi was very close to her, so close that she could see Su Yi's eyelashes, which were long and curly. When she blinked, her eyelashes trembled slightly, like cicada wings, causing a slight vibration in Xu Ruoxing's heart. She stepped back and asked Su Yi: "What's wrong?"

"I'm asking you a question." Su Yi said, "You don't even answer me."

Xu Ruoxing asked: "What?"

Su Yi said, "Do you have an ex-girlfriend?"

"Me?" Xu Ruoxing laughed and shook her head: "No."

"Really?" Su Yi's expression was obviously happy, as if she was pleased by the fact that Xu Ruoxing didn't have a girlfriend. Su Yi asked, "You've never dated before?"

Xu Ruoxing thought about the past. It was not that she didn't want to date, but she was afraid of being pursued. Since junior high school, many people had stuffed love letters and gifts into her locker, but she was obsessed with studying at that time and had no time to date. When she really reached the age to date, most people around her had a partner. Later, in her sophomore year, she met a crazy suitor who suppressed all her thoughts of wanting to fall in love and she no longer had the desire to be tempted.

Su Yi said: "Speaking of which, we are both first loves."

"It's so beautiful." She looked happy: "Wife, how did we meet?"

There was a hustle and bustle all around, with steam rising from time to time, swirling behind them. The rich aroma of food mixed with the unique liveliness of the food stalls, Xu Ruoxing was silent for a moment and said, "I met her through a blind date."
