On August 26, 2014, a fisherman in Maine, USA caught a French blue dragon shrimp. The shrimp is still alive in a local oceanarium.

In June 2019, the owner of a seafood restaurant in Massachusetts, USA, discovered a rare royal blue French blue dragon while purchasing goods, and eventually sold it at a sky-high price of $450,000.

This French Blue Dragon has many natural enemies and grows slowly. It takes several years to grow to the size that an ordinary lobster takes one year. Every time it grows a little bigger, its price soars. Immature French Blue Dragons are also sought after by gourmets. An adult French Blue Dragon is usually more expensive than a Ferrari, and you can't buy it without the money of France's upper-class celebrities.
