The transfer order from Terra forced the Death Guard fleet to reluctantly leave the planet Barbarus which was under construction.
Hades looked out the window. On this brown planet, the Graeae machines were working hard, turning mud into wheat fields and swamps into grasslands.
Barbarus will be an idyllic garden planet. Some Barbarus people will cultivate land on it, maintaining their thousands of years of history. However, farming will no longer be farming. They will become scenery in the eyes of others.
The sages of Graeae solemnly told Hades that when the fleet returned to Barbarus next time, they would see a beautiful garden planet instead of the current mud world.
Hades hoped so, but this time the transfer order from Terra also caused Galaspa's conscription to be postponed again.
Galasper is currently making good progress in the reconstruction of the Mechanicus, and Mortarion, Garro and Vorcus have already processed Galasper's government documents, so the Death Guard does not need to worry about this system again.
In Hades's vision, the Death Guard needs to recruit a group of new soldiers in Galaspar and expand the Death Guard's mortal auxiliary forces to establish a new group of weapons and armored forces for Hades.
Hades thought silently, I hope the Forge World of Graeae can quickly produce corresponding weapons, armor and ammunition.
However, compared to Hades who is still concerned about the construction in the rear, the atmosphere in the Death Guard is quite good. Another war is about to come, and the sickle that has been sharpened in training finally has a chance to see blood.
And after learning that the cooperative legion this time was the 16th Legion, the Luna Wolves, some Terra warriors began to tell the warriors of Barbarus about their previous cooperation with the Luna Wolves.
Most of the Legions had fought under Horus before their Primarchs returned and became the true leaders of the Legions.
This Primarch, who was apparently the first to be found, used his existence to give other legions enough fantasies about their own Primarchs.
But behind the fantasy of his unrecovered Primarch was respect for the commander of the Sixteenth Legion -
The Wolf Shepherd God is certainly a respectable Primarch.
Now they are going to cooperate with the 16th Legion, the Luna Wolves.
Mortarion stood at the ship's door with a stern look on his face. The shuttle was smoothly taking them to the Moon Wolves' mothership, the Blade of Vengeance.
Dimness and light alternately reflected on the Primarch's armor as the shuttle moved, making the poisonous mist around Mortarion even more hazy.
"Another brother, I don't expect anything from this."
Hades glanced at Mortarion silently, and it was obvious that after what had happened to his brothers, Mortarion had become disheartened.
But considering that Horus in the original book was considered the best person in Mortarion's network of primarchs, Hades felt that Mortarion's words might be overturned by himself.
Horus, the wolf-shepherd god, the future Warmaster, the Emperor's good son, Horus is the most outstanding among the Primarchs. Another one who can be compared with him is the Archangel Sanguinius. However, Horus is not the best in every field. He is just excellent in every field, a balanced excellence.
Just like Horus himself, compared to most Primarchs who always get stuck in certain ways or appear stubborn in dealing with people, this wolf-shepherd god is obviously smooth enough on topics other than facing the Emperor.
If it weren't for his subsequent fall, Horus might have been in the top three "Primarchs you most want to meet". Of course, Sanguinius would always be number one.
But if it weren't for Horus, Mortarion would not necessarily have rebelled, no matter how much he hated the Emperor.
In the original novel, Mortarion was clearly jealous of the overly close relationship between the angel Sanguinius and Horus, and he hoped that the person who was good to Horus was him, not Sanguinius.
It's a strange relationship between the original bodies, but Hades expressed his understanding when he thought that it was a certain British writer who described this matter.
As for Horus's subsequent fall, Hades, at this point in time, really cannot interfere too much in this position. It is better to leave this matter to the Emperor to worry about.
In fact, Hades was curious about the Emperor's views on the Rebellion.
As for Hades, he just needs to develop his anti-psychic team, and then no matter who opposes him, he can just deal with it directly.
By the way, don't let Mortarion be kidnapped by Horus. However, unlike the original Horus who was Mortarion's Imperial guide, Mortarion's guide was replaced by Malcador, so Mortarion's attitude towards Horus should not be the same as in the original book -
Too friendly.
I hope not, Hades thought.
The warning lights came on, and the blinding red light penetrated the darkness in the shuttle. The door slowly opened, and white light poured in, illuminating Mortarion and the death shrouds.
At a glance, Mortarion saw the Primarch standing in the center of the gray platform. He was like a little sun, warm and bright in the cold and dark universe.
The platinum armor was shining brightly, like the morning sun at dawn. A golden-red one-eyed gem was inlaid on his breastplate. His white robe fluttered behind him. His smooth and handsome head was wearing a warm and gentle smile.
"Hey my brother, long time no see."
Horus said to Mortarion with a smile, waving his hand, welcoming Mortarion in a friendly and somewhat eager manner.
Mortarion decided to take back what he had just said.
Looking at Horus, who was walking towards him in a friendly manner and was as dazzling as a star, Hades slowly realized that something was wrong. No one could resist the charm of a normal and friendly Primarch, especially when he knew how to use it cleverly.
No one.
Including Hades himself.
The images of the Luna Wolf and Horus are referenced from "The Rise of Horus" and some short stories.
