Terra sent some extraordinary people.
What is this, the Lord of the Order of Silence? Is this a figure similar to the Custodians
Kahn stood silently, his eyes wary from beneath his helmet as he cast a look of caution at the person standing in front of him.
Dark.
The World Eaters exist on the fringes of the Legion, and they may be the last to hear about the rumors, and they are also the least likely to be heard.
Kahn spoke cautiously.
"Good day, my lord. I am Captain Kahn of the 8th Company of the World Eaters. May I ask why you are here for the 12th Legion?"
The darkness watched him, and slowly, the man spoke, he spoke slowly and in a low voice,
"You can call me Hades. I come this time... hoping to meet your legion commander. The Lord of Mankind has not given up on healing your Primarch."
There was no escape for the aura in front of Hades. When Hades expressed his wish to meet Angron, Kharn and the other World Eaters clearly exuded an aura of uneasiness and anxiety, but when he added the next sentence "false lies", the World Eaters' anxiety seemed to dissipate again.
Hades? The name seemed vaguely familiar, and Kahn was certain he had heard it before... but it had quickly faded into the depths of his memory.
This is not Khârn's fault. The Technical Sergeants have always been marginal figures in the Legion. Even though the Technical Sergeants of the World Eaters indirectly helped the Legion find the Primarch - they were still marginal people.
Under the helmet, Kahn took a shallow breath and opened his mouth, but the sudden hope made him a little overwhelmed.
But this could also be a cliché. Kahn still couldn't be sure. Captain Rock of the First Company had left. He was now the leader of the entire World Eaters. Kahn couldn't act rashly.
He saluted.
"I thank the Lord of Humanity for his concern. Thank you, my lord, but our Primarch is commanding the war in another theater of operations. I am afraid that he will not be able to meet you in time."
Hades silently crossed out the possibility that Angron might have gone mad or fallen into a coma because of the Butcher's Nails.
Hades changed his tone to one of seriousness and anxiety, and took a small step forward.
"Kahn, can you tell me the location of Legion Commander Angron? I have read his surgery report. It will be disadvantageous for him if we delay any further. I need to leave immediately. If the war is urgent, the Order of Silence is willing to lend a helping hand to the Twelfth Legion."
In fact, Hades was pessimistic about his ability to defeat Angron - but he was speaking to Khârn, as the World Eaters were clearly wary of them.
Hades thought of the Custodes and Malcador, who were unwelcome wherever they went.
Kahn paused for a moment, trying to reassess the purpose of Hades and his party. Finally, the captain of the 8th Company spoke,
"Sir, the subspace in this star region is not very stable. We are unable to contact the legion commander for the time being, but the legion's astropaths are still trying. I believe we will be able to contact my father soon."
Hades now confirmed it.
Kahn did not think he was good at diplomacy. He began to miss Captain Rock of the First Company who disappeared in the star zone, or his Word Bearers friend Angertai. Either one of them would be more suitable to be here than Kahn.
Unexpectedly, the darkness began to recede.
Kahn blinked in surprise, and the darkness surrounding Hades disappeared. He saw a calm face that seemed to have a hint of compassion, but the hideous mechanical parts on his left face made Hades look extremely terrifying.
A calm voice sounded,
"How long has it been since you last contacted Angron? Two years, or longer? Khârn, I am here to try to help the Twelfth Legion, but if you keep avoiding the important issues, then I think I can do something else that you don't want to see."
Kahn's breathing stopped for a moment, but he spoke quickly, his voice still firm.
"Two years and seventy days. Sorry, my lord, I was overthinking. Our Primarch was involved in a ritual of the locals during an operation with the Librarian, and then they lost contact. But we are sure that father is still alive. His armor once sent us a signal that he is still alive."
"And the Think Tank?"
"Yes,"
"We found a civilization on a planet that seemed to have the technology to remove... the Butcher's Nail, but their psychic technology was highly developed, so the Legion Commander led the Librarians to go there first, while the other companies of the Legion were still performing missions elsewhere."
Didn't you choose to leave
Hades thought about it. He could not guess Angron's state from Kahn's words. He spoke.
"Why are you the one who is here to receive me, your captain of the first company, Rock?"
"Captain Rock led the First Company to search for the Legion Commander a year and a half ago, and has not returned yet."
"He's also missing?"
Kahn confirmed Hades' answer with silence.
The original legion commander, Roque, was supposed to have died in his first meeting with Angron, but now it can be confirmed that at least Angron did not go crazy when he first met the World Eaters.
Hades opened his mouth and sighed.
"If the Empire hadn't noticed your abnormality, would you have continued to hide it, Kahn?"
The Captain of the Eighth Company responded with silence. Finally, the World Eater's words seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth.
"Lord Hades, I do not understand. Even though we have left our Primarch, even though one third of the Legion has gone to look for my father, the World Eaters have not slowed down. We have never slackened our efforts in the Great Crusade... How did Terra notice us?"
Hades took a few steps forward and walked to Kahn's side. He raised his hand and his tone became slightly more relaxed.
"Just call me Hades. And... I think Captain Rock must have left in a hurry. Didn't he instruct you on how to better compile battle reports? Besides collecting taxes, Terra's mortal bureaucrats still do their jobs."
There was a slight sound under Kahn's helmet, as if he was chewing his teeth.
Hades blinked as he looked at the numerous tiny scratches on Kahn's white armor. Except for the Death Guard who didn't care about appearance, most legions would try their best to keep their armor as smooth as new - unless they were so miserable that they had no time to maintain their armor.
"Don't blame yourself so much, Kahn. You took over the Legion urgently and were able to maintain the Legion's two-year Great Crusade progress despite a sharp decrease in numbers. I don't think there are many warriors as good as you."
This sentence was useless. Kahn was still tense. Although he didn't look like this, the smell didn't lie.
Hades tried to keep his tone as light as possible, thinking that Charon and Hefa were completely doing him a disservice by asking him to be serious.
"I will apply to the Empire - now you don't have to stick to the Great Crusade. The most urgent task is to find the Primarch. The Lord of Mankind will understand you, and the Order of Silence will also assist the World Eaters."
"besides,"
Hardy paused.
"I have a small suggestion, Kahn. It would be better if you could call the forging masters of the World Eaters to assist us in our cooperation. I think I might be able to communicate better with them."
When Master Caster Perez received the order and rushed out of the workshop, he saw Hades, the Death Guard he had always wanted to thank.
Was that the Hades he knew? But he looked exactly the same.
Wait, isn't this a bit off
Perez's lips moved twice and he clearly said "Hello, sir".
Then Kahn was surprised to see the leader of the Order of Silence smiling a silly smile that could be described as kind.
"Come on, it's been a while, Perez."
The expression of Heifetz behind Hades seemed to be distorted for a moment.
Thanks to the leader of Longyinci!!! Give the big guy a refill!!! I will work hard on coding!! I want to stick up!!!
