Chapter 44: Show off your power

Views:

Seeing Ji Lingxue sitting leisurely in the pavilion fishing from afar, Ji Yuqing's lips curled up into a smug smile, remembering how she had coaxed and persuaded Xiao Yichen to stay in her room last night. Now everyone in the palace knew that she was favored, and they were a little more in awe of her.

Zi Su supported Ji Yuqing's arm and said loudly: "Master, please walk carefully. Maybe you are already pregnant with a little prince!" After saying that, she did not forget to glance at Ji Lingxue's reaction out of the corner of her eye.

Ji Lingxue didn't show much expression. Mo Xiang, who was standing next to her, curled her lips in disdain and said, "Master, Concubine Qing is going too far." She was showing off her power and deliberately trying to hurt her master.

Ji Lingxue said: "It's only been one night, and she's so happy that she's developed paranoia."

Mo Xiang chuckled and felt instantly balanced. There are rules in the palace. Before the principal wife is pregnant with a child, the other concubines and aunts can't even think about it.

Ji Lingxue and her servant spoke in low voices. Ji Yuqing, who was feeling very proud, was in high spirits and didn't care what they said.

As soon as Ji Yuqing walked into the pavilion, Zi Su hurriedly took out a handkerchief to wipe the dust off the chair, and then put a handkerchief under the chair before letting Ji Yuqing sit down.

Mo Xiang snorted coldly, "Didn't Concubine Qing sprain her ankle yesterday? She came out for a walk today. She recovered so quickly."

Zi Su said: "With the miraculous medicine sent by the prince, my master will recover quickly. The prince also asked my master to get pregnant with a child as soon as possible."

Mo Xiang was about to say something when Ji Lingxue suddenly sighed, then lifted the fishing rod, and a red koi hanging on the hook came ashore.

Ji Lingxue smiled happily and said, "I really caught a fish. Mo Xiang, let's eat braised fish today."

Mo Xiang nodded, no longer paying attention to the sarcasm from Ji Yuqing and her servant, and ran excitedly to pick up the fish.

As Mo Xiang moved, Zi Su raised his foot. Mo Xiang was not paying attention and was tripped. He fell forward and hit the steps, with blood coming out of his forehead.

Zi Su retracted her foot and sneered, "Mo Xiang, you better be careful not to break your princess' fish."

Mo Xiang raised his hand to wipe the blood from his forehead, picked up the koi that was jumping around nearby, and deliberately threw it into Zi Su's arms.

The koi's slippery skin and jumping around scared Zi Su so much that she screamed and tilted her body, falling right towards Ji Yuqing.

Mo Xiang said: "Zi Su, you'd better be careful, your master may be pregnant with the young master."

Ji Yuqing was also frightened by Zi Su, and kicked Zi Su on the butt. Zi Su rolled onto the ground like a ball, with a bruised face and nose, looking much more miserable than Mo Xiang.

Ji Lingxue stood aside just to watch the show and had no intention of intervening.

Zi Su got up from the ground and glared at Mo Xiang fiercely.

Mo Xiang shrugged, picked up the koi and said, "My hand slipped just now and the fish flew away, scaring you."

Zi Su said angrily: "You did it on purpose. If anything happens to my master, can you afford to pay for it?"

Mo Xiang was even more innocent, "You were the one who bumped into your master, don't blame others."

Shiso: "You..."

"What are you doing?" A majestic voice cut through the sky. Ji Yuqing and Ji Lingxue, who were watching the show, turned around and saw Xiao Yichen floating in in a white robe. He was standing in the pavilion in a few breaths.

Zi Su and Mo Xiang hurriedly saluted. Ji Yuqing stood up calmly and walked to Xiao Yichen, holding his arm and said, "Your Highness, Qing'er just came out for a walk. Don't worry, my foot injury has healed."

Xiao Yichen looked at Ji Lingxue, then turned to Mo Xiang who was holding the koi, and asked with a twitch of his mouth: "Didn't anyone tell you that this fish can't be eaten?"
