Not For You to Bite

Chapter 25

The dark sky sets in the west, and the golden afterglow spreads over the mountainside. Dusk gradually falls, but the top of the mountain is still bustling.

Chi Le came back with a box of drinks. Seeing the beautiful scenery under the sunset, he couldn't help but cheer. He picked up his phone and took a photo to send to his father.

Sheng Zhuo had already set up the barbecue grill and was using the electric light to light the fire, leaning back slightly.

In an open space not far away, everyone had lit a bonfire and were sitting around it, playing the game of "Truth or Dare", chatting and laughing together. It was quite lively.

Chi Le put the drinks on the table and told everyone to come and get them if they wanted to drink. Then he walked to the grill and looked at Sheng Zhuo eagerly, "I'll grill, you go and rest over there."

Sheng Zhuo looked at the burning flames and raised his head to glance at him. The thick white smoke was blown towards Chi Le by the wind, and Chi Le sneezed loudly.

Sheng Zhuo smiled and put the iron net on the grill. "I'll grill it. You stand somewhere else."

Chi Le rubbed his nose with tears in his eyes, and quickly left the wind vent and stood on the other side of Sheng Zhuo, "It's too windy today, and there's a lot of smoke, so I'll do it."

A wife is meant to be loved, so of course she has to do all the hard work.

"No need." Sheng Zhuo glanced at his red nose and didn't give him a chance to argue. "Just stay by my side."

"Can you?" Chi Le moved closer. Since Sheng Zhuo didn't move, he couldn't force his way in. He just stood there feeling a little helpless.

"I've never grilled it before, but I just asked the chef and he roughly knows how to grill it." Sheng Zhuo raised his eyebrows nonchalantly, fanned the smoke, looked at the ingredients on the chopping board and asked, "What do you want to eat?"

Chi Le looked over there, his eyes lit up, and he raised his hand to point at them one by one, "This is the mantis shrimp, and the fried squid next to it."

The weather is cold today, and seeing these hot things increases one's appetite.

Sheng Zhuo used tongs to place a row of mantis shrimps on the iron rack, and then used an iron plate to grill the squid. Today the wind was strong and the fire was high, so he had to keep an eye on it, otherwise it would get burnt soon.

Chi Le looked at the grill filled with his favorite foods and felt a little embarrassed. "What do you want to eat? I'll get it for you."

"I'll eat it later." Sheng Zhuo put the squid on the grill. The squid was grilled with oil and made a sizzling sound.

Chi Le was watching from the side. He was not hungry at first, but now he felt a little hungry after hearing the voice.

Sheng Zhuo sprinkled the seasoning on it, and a fresh and fragrant aroma wafted out immediately. Everyone who was playing the game looked over, staring at the mantis shrimps and squids on the grill, and couldn't stop swallowing their saliva.

Chi Le unscrewed a bottle of drink and handed it to Sheng Zhuo. He looked up and saw the yellow-haired man who had competed with him in drinking water in the morning walking towards him. The yellow-haired man was holding a plate with two grilled squids on it.

Chi Le secretly wondered, could it be that this yellow-haired guy was unwilling to accept his defeat in the morning and wanted to challenge him again? What was he going to compete with this time? Was he going to see whose grilled squid was more delicious

Before Chi Le could come up with a conclusion, the yellow-haired man came closer and handed the squid to him, "Eat it, please."

Chi Le: “???”

Sheng Zhuo's temples were throbbing and he stopped what he was doing unconsciously. He looked at the yellow-haired man with a cold gaze.
