Questions about the later planning and if lines of the novel
I haven't written a planning summary for a long time. In order to prevent everyone from thinking that I have been slacking off recently, I will explain the subsequent arrangements and direction of the story line.
The current subscription data is not ideal, and is four or five sections lower than when it was at its peak. However, this is within expectations. After all, there is basically nothing to read in a romance novel as long as the relationship is confirmed and there are some silly words. Early romance novels even ended directly with this. Some of my predecessors, such as Sister Kissing the Pig, also often did this.
If I look back, the overall plan is actually not much different. I originally planned to enter the confession chapter when I was in high school, but I didn't plan to have a formal threesome during the confession chapter. Instead, I planned to rotate my girlfriend year after year.
The advantage of this is that it clears Mei Gou's name. Mei Gou is just dating Yuanyuan or Youxi normally and is not two-timing at the same time. My original outline was to have them date him twice in his second and third year of high school, and then decide on a threesome after two rounds from his freshman to senior year. This way, I can write about a lot of conflicts, including stomachaches, jealousy, and running away.
But as we all know, romance novels place great emphasis on the process of character creation, and many times the characters you write have already been defined in this way, leaving no room for further comments.
For example, when I wrote about the love letter, Lin Youxi took advantage of this momentum to confess directly. Facing such a direct ball, if Mei Fang did not respond, he would be a weakling. If he only responded to Lin Youxi, Mei Fang's entire character would collapse.
He didn't carry any water.
I have already laid a lot of groundwork about the ideas of balancing the good and the threesome, so the direct confession in the love letter chapter is actually reasonable, but this actually greatly shortens the plot and ups and downs of the story. I also tried the setting of the love game chapter in the middle, but it was still quite awkward overall; the effect of the subsequent family chapter was just so-so, but the if chapter attracted a lot of people's interest, which was actually a bit beyond my expectation.
Why do I say it is unexpected? Because I have been inserting knives into the if chapters, adding my current life experience. The if chapters are undoubtedly the reality of reality. Even mutual redemption and group warm rescue are painful processes. I can always write if chapters quickly because I am not creating stories, I am just recording stories. People seem to be addicted to the things I wrote madly, which makes me feel a little strange. Don’t you like to eat candy? It’s outrageous hahaha!
However, the if chapter has become inseparable from the main storyline. First of all, I would like to deny the statement that the if chapter "White Plum Blossom Time" is the canon. I have said before that the if chapter has nothing to do with the main storyline. It is just a story about the encounter with Lin Youxi from the original world line under a certain specific setting [Mei Fang did not die suddenly]. You can understand it as Youxi's single female lead storyline.
As for the later planning of the main line, subsequent chapters will continue to complete the content of the university line/career line, mainly including the game development route and the band line that has been laid for a long time (for this, I went to Shenzhen to watch the LIVEHOUSE concerts of Si Xi Wan Zi and Gachapon Ji to get some material, and then I got a fever). The main difficulties faced by the three giants during this period will focus on balancing career and romance, as well as the various temptations and responses faced by Boss Mei after becoming the president. However, it will not be very long, and it is expected to be a story of about 50 chapters. I will not spoil the details.
The climax of the university chapter/career chapter is the marriage chapter after the career chapter. This is an independent climax, which is not very long. It is the process of overcoming difficulties and reaching a consensus with parents. Although everyone hates Mei's mother, in fact, many of Mei Fang's personality traits are actually inherited from her, including the high moral standards of Mei Fang in the if line. As for the main line, she is reborn and becomes arrogant. Only with the blessing of Mei's mother can the goal of the threesome be considered complete.
The plot of the if chapter "Yuan Ding Fang Xi" will probably end in the main story of marriage, so there is a one-to-one correspondence.
In fact, I also wanted to arrange a point of conflict here, which can be regarded as the final climax as the ending.
In short, the main storyline ends when Mei Fang, Lin Youxi and Xia Yuan are about 30 years old.
As for those extra heroines who are left with regrets after the main storyline is finished, I will also discuss adding extra stories in the future. Currently, there are plans for the Cloud Chapter (Guo Yun), Snow Chapter (Peng Xue) and Rain Chapter (Liu Xiaoyu).
These extra stories need to assume some prerequisites to create the possibility of drawing a connection with Mei Fang. First of all, the core prerequisite is [a world where Xia Yuan and Lin Youxi do not exist]. After all, their status as the main wives is unshakable. The rest can be adjusted according to the character design.
As for Bingbing, since her story design is not very good, she currently does not have a strong bond with Mei Fang, so we will have to wait and see how things develop later.
Only after I finish writing all these will I start writing Xia Yuan’s independent chapter. This has already been planned. You can look forward to how Xia Yuan and Mei Fang’s independent chapters are triggered, and all readers’ preferences will be satisfied in one go.
Oh, by the way, I actually want to write a very Japanese-style Crystal Palace campus life extravaganza, but this is just something I think of occasionally. Whether I will write it or not depends on everyone’s opinions. The final word count of this book should be controlled at around 1.5 to 2 million words, and it will be completed by the end of September at the latest, which will take exactly one year to write.
