18th floor, Jiangcheng Center Building.
The glass door of the recording studio was closed and no one could get in without access control.
The door of the reception room was open, but there was no one there. Yu Zhou sat there for about fifteen minutes, thinking about whether he should call Su Chang, when he heard the elevator open and Su Chang walked out.
She is still tall, slim and delicate. Her hair is much longer than last year and is tied up.
Following behind him was a girl, who looked to be in her early twenties, wearing a professional-style dress with small floral patterns, and looking at her phone as she walked.
Su Chang was also busy replying to messages. The two of them went to the recording studio. The girl scanned her face and the door opened. Su Chang was about to follow her in when she heard Yu Zhou calling her from behind: "Su Chang."
She turned back and raised her eyebrows slightly.
There was no discernible expression on his face. Maybe he was a little surprised, but it was fleeting. Then he called her, "Zhou Zhou."
She tilted her head to signal her colleague to go in first, then walked towards Yu Zhou, holding her phone in her hand: "Why are you here?"
After not seeing each other for two months, Yu Zhou felt like it had been almost two years.
She never thought that Su Chang would have this attitude. He didn't act coldly, nor did he ignore her. Instead, he gently called her, Zhou Zhou.
But her tone wasn't particularly cheerful.
This attitude was so confusing that Yu Zhou didn't know what to do.
She was a little nervous and said, "Uh, I sent a message to Xiang Wan, but she didn't reply, so I came to see what she was doing."
My heart is beating really fast, a little too much.
"Well," Su Chang glanced at the recording studio, "It should be in the studio. Can I take you there?"
Oh my god, he didn't say a single extra word to me. Yu Zhou's heart began to beat.
He glanced at her and observed her expression. She didn't look depressed at all. She was still cool and self-contained, which was completely different from what she had imagined in her mind in the taxi.
Instead, it made her imagine more. She couldn't help thinking that perhaps these things were a mountain to the bone for her who had never seen the world, but for Su Chang in the past ten years, they were the norm. She wondered if Su Chang, who had always controlled his emotions very well when he was with her, was really always calm.
"Are you okay?" She couldn't help but ask.
"Hmm?" Su Chang raised his eyebrows.
The elevator opened and a colleague came out. Su Chang raised his chin and greeted him, then motioned Yu Zhou to come closer and not stand in the middle of the elevator entrance.
Yu Zhou took two steps closer and smelled a faint smell of alcohol.
"Uh, have you been drinking?" Yu Zhou frowned.
Su Chang smiled and leaned lazily on the smooth tiles: "I had a dinner party at noon and drank a little."
"With my colleagues," she added.
"Oh." Yu Zhou lowered his eyelashes.
"What? Do you think I'm drunk?" Su Chang curled the corners of her mouth again, her words a little lazier than her body.
The words sounded a little intimate, but her cold eyes made Yu Zhou feel a little distant. Her smile did not reach her eyes, as if she was really just making a joke.
"No, I mean you have a bad stomach. If you can drink less, then drink less." Yu Zhou said sullenly.
"If I can drink less," Su Chang smiled, "Of course."
"Come in, Xiang Wan should be about ready," she said.
