Extra 3: Tiger's Lair
Qiu Shi turned and looked at Xing Bi. He didn't quite understand what Xing Bi was going to do.
What's the point of exchanging a living dog
Qiu Shi had never seen a dog, so he didn't know what it looked like. He had only seen pictures of it, as well as the dog's mutated relative, the symbiotic wolf in Camp 249.
The appearance of the symbiotic wolf still gives me a chill down my spine when I think of it.
"We can't exchange them for live dogs," the boss said, his face full of embarrassment, "We only got a few yesterday this winter."
"You always use dog-leg pictures as your examples," Qiu Shi said, "and now you're saying there's too little of this stuff and you're raising the price?"
"None of your business," the boss leaned on the table and approached him, "You outsider, if you want to leave here alive, watch your mouth, hold your head when you speak and act, and be careful not to lose it."
"Local guy," Qiu Shi also moved closer to him and stared into his eyes, "Stop saying these scary words in front of me. I can leave if I want to. Even if the King of Hell comes, he has to follow behind me to protect me. If you don't believe me, try it."
The boss didn't say anything and just looked at him.
At this moment, Xing Bi should have interrupted, but he did not say anything and just watched in silence.
One has to admit that Qiu Shi, who grew up among refugees and dead bodies and experienced many life-and-death battles, is very suitable for this kind of segment where they swear at each other when they don't know the details.
He is really not afraid of death.
Even though he had promised Xing that he had to live cautiously, he was still a corpse collector who was not afraid of death.
Having been through this kind of high-end death game, the recklessness in his bones is not something that an ordinary black shop owner can suppress.
Sure enough, two seconds later, the boss slowly stood up, folded his arms and looked at the two of them.
"Let's take a look at the dog first," Xing Bi said, "and then add it if it's suitable."
The boss thought for two seconds and reached out to take the small box on the table.
But Qiu Shi was quicker than him and stood up and snatched the box away: "This is not the dog-sitting fee."
The muscles on the boss's face twitched twice and his eyes became fierce.
"Kid," Xing Bi called out to the back door before he drew his gun, "Come here."
Qiu Shi and the boss turned their heads to look at the same time. He knew there was someone at the door, but the bright spot hadn't moved. He thought it was a waiter from the black shop who was lying in ambush and listening for any noise.
Unexpectedly, the door slowly opened a crack, revealing a dirty child's face.
"What are you doing here!" the boss scolded the child in a calm voice.
The child didn't say anything or move, but just stared at the box in Qiu Shi's hand.
"This." Xing Bi rummaged through his bag.
After seeing the things that were taken out, Qiu Shi wanted to contact Li Feng immediately to ask him why he wanted to bring so many messy things out for Xing Bi.
Xing Bi took out a small yellow fluffy ball and shook it at the child: "Here you go."
The child's eyes lit up, and his body, which was huddled outside the door, suddenly squeezed into the house through the crack in the door.
The boss turned and stared at Xing Bi.
"Your daughter?" Xing Bi said.
The child stopped walking immediately.
The boss's expression changed immediately, and he said in a calm voice: "What do you want to do?"
To be honest, Qiu Shi didn't realize that this was a little girl. With short hair and a dirty, yellow face, she looked like a refugee child, which was rare but he had seen some of them.
"This is for your son." Xing Bi changed his address and squeezed the small ball in his hand, which made a chirping sound.
The boss hesitated for two seconds and walked towards the door: "Come on."
Qiu Shi didn't bother to ask more questions and stood up and followed the boss.
When passing by the child, Xing Bi handed the ball to him: "Hide it."
The child took the ball, squeezed it twice quickly, and stuffed it into his clothes.
As soon as he entered the backyard, the strong smell of blood and decay became more obvious, and Qiu Shi frowned.
The backyard was like a maze, with many small huts as tall as a person. There were many iron hooks hanging on both sides of the narrow passage, some of which had meat hanging on them. The ground was wet and sticky. Many small bright spots could be seen on the map, but no people were visible in front of me.
Qiu Shi was completely certain that this store was a shady one and the fresh meat here was definitely problematic.
What he was not sure about was why Xing Bi wanted a dog. If he wanted to find out the situation in the backyard, with Xing Bi's ability, he could find out by sitting in the front room.
The boss took them to a small hut that was about one meter tall and pointed inside.
Qiu Shi didn't go in, but just took a look. It was very dark inside, but because the area was not large, the light from the door could barely illuminate the interior.
Two dogs, one yellow and one black, huddled in the corner of the room, pushing each other. I didn't know if they were cold or scared, but they were shaking like they were having the hiccups.
Qiu Shi stared at the dog he saw for the first time for a few seconds and sighed: "This thing is so ugly."
It is indeed ugly. The yellow dog's eyes are so small that they are almost invisible, and the black dog's teeth are so big that they are all covered.
But because it is very small, it looks ugly but also somewhat cute.
"The baby hasn't been weaned yet, right? What about the bitch?" Xing Bi asked.
"Who knows what kind of pigs can't be weaned? The big one has just been killed," the boss said, "Do you want these two?"
"Yes." Xing Bi said.
A singing box and a barking fluffy ball were exchanged for two clown dogs, and they are dirty.
When walking out of the black shop with the dog, Qiu Shi tried to stretch his arms out as far as possible to prevent the dirty and ugly little dog from touching his pants.
Originally, the boss was unwilling to exchange a box for a dog, but now that a small ball has been added, he can exchange it for two. I don’t know why the boss suddenly agreed.
"Because he thinks there are a lot of good things in my bag, and he also thinks we can't leave this street anyway," Xing Bi said, "After we die, even if he doesn't want the things in the car, the things in this bag will be enough."
"Why can't we leave this street?" Qiu Shi asked.
"Intuition." Xing Bi said.
"Has the intuition of such a powerful biochemical being suddenly become so useless?" Qiu Shi asked.
"The intuition of the awesome biochemical is that the people on this street think we can't leave," Xing Bi said, "Human, please improve your thinking ability."
"Then give me some hints," Qiu Shi said, "I still haven't figured out why you want these two dogs."
"For Li Feng." Xing Bi said.
"…Want to eat?" Qiu Shi asked.
Xing Bi glanced at him and said, "Yes, Li Feng seems to want to raise a dog."
"Raising a dog?" Qiu Shi couldn't understand it any more. "What does raising a dog mean? Does Yuncheng need to raise a dog? Doesn't it raise a lot of chickens and pigs? Does it also need to raise a dog?"
"Just raising them for fun, as pet dogs." Xing Bi said, "Our ancestors all liked to raise dogs, cats, birds, fish, everything."
"So idle." Qiu Shi sighed, thinking about it and looking at the dog in his hand, "When did he tell you?"
"He didn't tell me," Xing Bi said, "Chen Dang asked me to help find a dog. I think Li Feng told him."
"Fuck," Qiu Shi was a little surprised, "Chen Dang still cares about these things?"
Xing Bi said nothing.
"Why does Chen Dang still care about these things?" Qiu Shi said again.
Xing Bi couldn't help but glance at him: "Why are you so slow?"
"Huh?" Qiu Shi was stunned for a moment, and it took him two seconds to react, "Fuck."
Two seconds later he added: "Fuck."
Xing Bi laughed: "What's wrong with you?"
"How can Li Feng still have these things in his mind?" Qiu Shi said, "Besides making sure these people live well and die peacefully, he probably spends the rest of his time thinking about how to get a good night's sleep."
"Then it's not something we need to worry about." Xing Bi smiled.
Qiu Shi was still quite emotional. He looked down at the black dog in his hand. If it weren't for the reflection of the eyeballs, he wouldn't have been able to tell that the little black dog was also looking at him.
"Fuck," he said.
"Aren't you done sighing yet?" Xing Bi said.
"This dog is so fucking ugly," Qiu Shi said, "Chen Dang gave these two things to Li Feng. Will Li Feng really not kick him out of Yuncheng?"
When they returned to the hotel where they were staying, there were only a few people left who were originally sitting in the store. However, after walking down the street, Qiu Shi could already feel that Xing Bi's intuition was probably correct.
Everyone was staring at them; they could feel gazes everywhere they went, but they were not the kind of curious, wary gazes that scrutinized strangers.
The people on this street may not all be in the same group, but no matter how many groups there are, their goal is probably to kill them.
Although there must be a lot of traveling merchants, vagrants and refugees coming and going in this place, it is impossible to kill every stranger, but these two people and their car seem to be out of tune with the outside world, so they deserve to be killed.
No one had ever entered the house they lived in, and everything remained the same.
"No one came to see us." Qiu Shi put the two dogs in a basket next to the bed, which was probably used to store miscellaneous items. He stood by the window and looked across.
The person opposite was still in the room, but didn't go near the window.
"There are quite a few biochemical creatures here." Qiu Shi saw a person standing in a door with a repair sign on it downstairs in the opposite building. The map showed that it was a biochemical creature.
Xing Bi stood beside him and looked at him.
The biochemical body suddenly moved, raised his hand, turned around and went back into the house.
"He asked us to leave immediately." Xing Bi said in a low voice.
Qiu Shi didn't say anything, and the next second he had pulled the gun out from his leg.
But it's too late to leave.
On the map in front of Qiu Shi, he could see that the people in the store suddenly started moving and quickly approached their room.
Xing Bi didn't say anything. He turned around, rushed to the door, and moved the cabinet next to the door behind it.
"On the opposite side, kill as many as you can." After saying this, Xing Bi rushed towards the window.
After such a long period of cooperation, Qiu Shi already understood what Xing Bi meant, which was to jump from the window to the second floor opposite.
Although he didn't understand why he didn't just jump downstairs and get into the car, he also didn't know why Xing Bi thought he could jump over such a wide distance.
But he didn't ask anything. He turned around and jumped directly onto the windowsill. According to the location shown on the map, he fired two shots into the opposite window.
At the same time, more gunshots were heard.
From the door behind them.
The bullet whizzed through the wooden door and cabinet and hit the wall next to it.
Xing Bi jumped onto the windowsill, grabbed his arm, and then threw him forward as he jumped out of the window.
The force was quite strong, and Qiu Shi's arm was pulled a little painfully. However, even with such a strong force, he could not fly directly into the opposite window.
But it can just hook the wires between the two buildings.
Qiu Shi stretched out his elbow and hooked it on a bunch of wires above him. Xing Bi also hooked another bundle of wires at the same time. He didn't know if he would be electrocuted. He only knew that the clothes he was wearing were a new product of the Yuncheng military and could prevent cuts...
Not electrocuted.
Taking advantage of the inertia of swinging in the air, Qiu Shi and Xing Bi fired several shots at the broken window on the second floor opposite and jumped into the house.
The moment he landed, Qiu Shi saw clearly the four people in the room, three men and one woman. Then he felt a sharp pain in his ankle, and before he could react, he lost consciousness.
It felt like just a moment, but from the time his vision went dark to the time he opened his eyes again and saw the room clearly, Qiu Shi found that he and Xing Bi had been tied to two chairs.
Standing in front of them were the three men and one woman again. One man was sitting, and the other three were standing.
"Are you sick?" Qiu Shi cursed, struggled a few more times, and took the opportunity to check if there were any injuries on his body.
There were no injuries, but he couldn't move his whole body, and his legs, waist, neck and arms were tied with ropes.
After taking a look at Xing Bi, everything seemed normal.
"It's different after regular enhancement," a man said, "It's about the same time as the first-level stealth guard awakens."
"Why don't you say that you didn't control the electricity well?" Qiu Shi said.
"That's quite humorous," said the woman.
The map in front of Qiu Shi was closed, but he could still tell with the naked eye that the woman and the man who was talking were humans, and the man sitting on the chair and the one standing next to him were biochemical beings.
"What do you want?" Qiu Shi asked impatiently, "Isn't it a bit embarrassing to do business with this attitude?"
"There's nothing we can do about it," the woman came over and stood in front of him, "This business can only be forced."
"Really?" Qiu Shi looked at her, "Tell me about it, I'll open my eyes."
The woman walked up to Xing Bi and drew a horizontal line on his waist with her finger: "From here down."
"What the hell?" Qiu Shi couldn't control his voice.
"We need a high-quality bio-body. Take the part below the waist," the standing bio-body said, "for transplantation."
"What? That thing?" Qiu Shi looked at him in shock.
After realizing what was happening, he shifted his gaze to the sitting biochemical body: "Is he only the upper half?"
"Yes." The sitting biochemical body replied.
"I..." Qiu Shi couldn't even curse anymore. It was unbelievable. "Then why do you have so many biological bodies here?"
"High-quality ones," the woman said. "Ordinary biochemical bodies have not had their body functions enhanced, so they cannot meet the requirements for transplantation."
"He can't do it either. He's disabled," Qiu Shi glanced at Xing Bi, "He has prosthetic limbs on the lower body."
Xing Bi also turned and looked at him.
"He is Xing Bi," the woman said, "the strongest member of the undercover team."
Qiu Shi did not say anything. He could only say that among the biochemical bodies of that year, probably everyone knew about this strongest hidden guard group.
"You are now being injected with drugs. Don't try to struggle. The increased blood flow under the effect of the drugs will cause physical discomfort." The standing biochemical body was probably someone similar to the two chiefs of Yuncheng.
"This is our doctor," the woman said, "the operation will begin soon. It won't take too long and won't be painful." "Let me ask," Xing Bi finally said, "the exact location."
"Here." The woman pointed at his abdomen and drew a line from left to right. "Separate from here..."
When her hand touched the left side of Xing Bi's body, Xing Bi suddenly jumped up with the chair and grabbed her hand.
The woman screamed and tried to shake Xing Bi off, but failed.
The biochemical doctor and another man pointed their guns at Xing Bi at the same time.
"Try it if you dare." Xing Bi's voice sank, and a black stripe suddenly ran from the side of his neck to his left cheek.
Several people were stunned at the same time, and the woman forgot to struggle and stared at Xing Bi's face.
Black stripes quickly spread across Xing Bi's face, covering his entire face. Then several people were shocked to find that the black on Xing Bi's arm had spread to the woman's hand.
"Let her go!" the half-biomorph roared.
Xing Bi did not respond. The doctor and the man rushed over and tried to pull the woman apart, but when they touched the woman's body, the black stripes seemed to have life and spread to their hands.
"It's a symbiote." The doctor loosened his grip and pulled the man away.
"No," Qiu Shi said, "It's a super symbiote."
The doctor looked at him, seemingly not understanding.
Qiu Shi thought about it and changed his name to what Song Heng and his friends called the Super Communist Party: "He is a pile of coal."
The doctor kept looking at him.
"A black pile." Qiu Shi corrected again.
"That's impossible," the doctor finally understood. "The Black Pile has no ability to control itself."
"It's a super black pile." said Qiu Shi.
"Let her go," the half-human bio-body spoke again, "Please, let her go."
"Please, let me go first." Qiu Shi said.
The man put his gun to the back of Qiu Shi’s neck: “Let her go, or I’ll shoot.”
“If I die,” Qiu said, “the only person who can control him will be gone.”
"You are..." Banjieer looked at him, "The kite flyer."
"Yes." Qiu Shi also looked at him, "Now listen carefully, remove the drug control, we can leave within one minute, she can still be alive, otherwise we will die together."
The woman stopped struggling. Black stripes had covered her face, neck, and arms. She stood there like a statue.
"Medicine." Banjieer said to the doctor.
"If you miss Xing Bi, you will never have another chance," said the doctor.
"No, as long as she's alive, that's all I want," Banjie'er said. "I never wanted her."
Qiu Shi suddenly realized why Xing Bi was controlling that woman...
This human is so slow.
"Forty seconds." Qiu Shi began to count down.
The doctor took out two injections and pushed one into Qiu Shi's arm. Then he walked to Xing Bi and took a half-look at him.
"Thirty seconds." said Qiu Shi.
He didn't know the extent of the harm that Xing Bi's control method would cause to humans, let alone the specific time. The time he mentioned was just to get Xing Bi out of this state as quickly as possible.
The doctor pushed the injection into Xing Bi's arm.
Then the ropes that tied up Qiu Shi were untied.
"Let her go!" Banjieer repeated anxiously.
Qiu Shi shook off the ropes on his body and stood up, walked to Xing Bi, untied the ropes on him, and when he clenched his left fist to control Xing Bi for a short time, the black stripes on the woman's body began to fade.
Qiu Shi loosened his left hand, grabbed the woman's shoulder, and put the gun to her head.
"Before we get in the car and leave, if anyone tries to stop us, I'll shoot."
The man standing by the door stepped away.
Xing Bi stood up slowly, and the black on his body faded away, leaving only a faint mark.
Qiu Shi glanced at him.
"It's okay." Xing Bi said.
"Let's go, sister." Qiu Shi pushed the woman.
The woman followed them to the door.
"Tell the people on the other side to bring our dogs to the side of the car," Qiu Shi heard the dogs barking, "Two."
The street was very quiet. People were either sitting or standing and looking at this side. No one fled, and no one came forward. It seemed that everyone knew what was happening, but no one seemed to have expected this result.
These guys are quite capable. They have a mechanism that can knock Xing Bi down, and a drug that can prevent Xing Bi from struggling. They have done this more than once or twice. I don't know how many biological organisms have been cut in half here before.
Hu Zi walked out of the shop opposite, holding the two ugly dogs in his hands.
Xing Bi opened the car door and Hu Zi threw the dog into the car.
Qiu Shi got into the car, but kept the gun pointed at the woman.
It was not until Xing Bi started the car that he took out a suppressant from his pocket and threw it out of the car window: "Strong suppressant, better than oral administration."
The woman looked at the inhibitor on the ground and did not move.
Xing Bi stepped on the accelerator and the car drove forward.
As long as the car doors are closed and the windows are locked, this car can be a safe house, but Qiu Shi kept staring at the map until the car completely drove off the street and arrived at the center of Longtan City. Only then did he breathe a sigh of relief and look at Xing Bi.
"I'm fine." Xing Bi said.
"You can still see the traces." Qiu Shi stared at his face.
"It was a short time," Xing Bi looked at him, "it didn't have much impact."
"I know," Qiu Shi frowned, "If Director Wu hasn't figured out a solution by the time I get back, I'll kill these two ugly dogs."
Xing Bi smiled and reached out to pinch his face.
"We can't keep this place," Qiu Shi said, "We have to clear it out."
"Let Li Feng and Lin Sheng handle it." Xing Bi said, "They can see the overall situation and know what to do."
"When I left, I wanted them to go to Yuncheng," Qiu Shi still frowned, "Can Yuncheng repair his body?"
"It should be possible to use the spare secondary biochemical body." Xing Bi said, "Why didn't you say it?"
"You didn't say that, did you?" Qiu Shi said, "Whether it's a human or a biochemical being, doing something like this is terrible... Not everyone is worth saving."
"Yeah." Xing Bi responded.
Qiu Shi was silent for a while before he added, "It seems that there is no perfect solution to anything."
“Not all things need to be solved perfectly,” said Xing Bi.
"Just like we can only find one dog, there is no guarantee that we will find a good-looking dog," Qiu said, "so finding two ugly dogs is an imperfect but best solution."
Xing Bi laughed.
The author has something to say:
I will be busy all day tomorrow, trying to finish my work before everyone goes on weekend break. I will update the last extra chapter the day after tomorrow!
Love you guys!
