Please, Don’t See Me

Chapter 7

Suddenly there was a warm body behind him.

Shu Jin shook his hand, and the phone landed on the sofa.

Sheng Xinghe had just finished taking a shower, and the cold water droplets on his hair slipped down Shu Jin's neck into his neckline, and the voice sounded on the side of his ear: "Who are you sending a message to?"

Feeling that his face was touched, Shu Jin grabbed the hand and said, "It's my colleague."

Sheng Xinghe responded casually, pinched Shu Jin's face lightly, then stepped back and continued wiping his hair with a towel.

Because of the low-grade fever after the last time, the most extreme thing they did in the past two days was that Sheng Xinghe hugged him on his lap and kissed him twice, and then ended it hastily.

But Shu Jin's body was already hot.

He didn't know why he was like this, why he was so unsatisfactory, and he couldn't control himself even after being touched like this.

Two days passed in the blink of an eye.

Shu Jin once heard Sheng Xinghe talking with his assistant to arrange the next itinerary. They don't go back right after their work here, but go to another city for a few days.

Shu Jin's annual leave is almost exhausted, but he has quietly asked his colleagues in the personnel department if he can take a few more days off.

After graduating, Shu Jin accumulated experience elsewhere, and was officially admitted to this firm as an assistant designer a year ago.

He works diligently, has his own ideas, and is usually very popular in the office. He doesn't seem like someone who ignores work for the sake of pleasure. Colleagues in the personnel department told him directly that the annual leave plus the time off for taking too long may not be good, and it might affect his year-end evaluation, so he should think about it again.

Shu Jin verbally said yes, but in his heart he was ready to ask for leave.

Although he and Sheng Xinghe were always together these two days, they never talked about the future.

Sheng Xinghe didn't even ask for his cell phone number.

It would make sense if Sheng Xinghe planned to take him to another city, at least they still had a few days.

"Brother, do you want to go out for a walk?"

Shu Jin summoned the courage to ask.

As twilight draws near, the rays of the setting sun shine in, gilding everything.

Sheng Xinghe dried his hair and threw the towel aside: "No, I haven't finished reading some documents."

Shu Jin said, "Are you in a hurry? Can you come back and have a look?" He explained, "I'm leaving tomorrow, I want to go around again."

Sheng Xinghe looked back at him, then turned to find the T-shirt: "Aren't you feeling bad?"

Shu Jin sighed: "Well."

After the fever subsided, his butt was sore for two days, and now he is almost better.

Sheng Xinghe stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window and put on his clothes. His beautiful chest and abdominal muscles were bathed in the sunset together with the mermaid line. He looked very warm, but the words that came out of his mouth were not warm: "Go for a walk, don't go too far. Far."

After he finished speaking, he returned to his cup on the front of the table, and really picked up the document and walked away.

Shu Jin couldn't hold back the soreness of his nose, and quickly looked out the window to suppress his tear ducts.

There is nothing better out there.

I don't know if it was an illusion, but Shu Jin saw couples walking out on the beach that night.

He stayed outside until it was completely dark before returning to the hotel. Sheng Xinghe was not in the living room, and he didn't see where the other party was. He went back to the room to take a shower and went to bed.

Slept till midnight.

Shu Jin felt that someone grabbed his calf.

The lights were not turned on in the room, Shu Jin felt a familiar atmosphere and called out brother Sheng.

Sheng Xinghe said don't move, and began to move gently.

Shu Jin cooperated hard and wanted to hug Sheng Xinghe's neck with his arms, but couldn't help but bite the pillow, just like hiding in the room on the second floor when he was a boy.

Puff slept in a ball under the bed, occasionally turning her ears to hear the annoying noises from the two young men.

Eighteen-year-old Shu Jin complained with a blushing face, "Can't you?"

Then he moved his body and provoked him: "Still dare not?"

In a daze, Shu Jin heard Sheng Xinghe ask, "Why do you ask the front desk for my room number?"

Shu Jin trembled in his heart and did not dare to answer.

In the darkness, Sheng Xinghe asked, "Why do you cry when you see me?"

With a "pop", Sheng Xinghe turned on the bedside switch.

Shu Jin turned his head in embarrassment, his face was full of tears, his nose and cheeks were red, and he bit his lip.

Sheng Xinghe was finally angry, and he couldn't help pinching Shu Jin's chin with his hands, so that he had nowhere to hide and faced himself, and said solemnly: "Shu Jin, look at me."

Shu Jin's tears fell from the corners of his eyes, all the way to the pillow, but he still tried to turn his face away not to meet Sheng Xinghe's eyes.

With blurry eyes, he saw Sheng Xinghe's angry face, and also saw Sheng Xinghe's red eyes, but in the end his eyes fell on the gray eyeball.

"If you say it, I'll turn back." Sheng Xinghe gritted his teeth, "If you take back what you said before, these five years are nothing. As long as you say it, I will give it."

A minute-long confrontation.

Sheng Xinghe's voice was trembling, and he said sharply, "Speak!"

Shu Jin still couldn't say a word.

In the end, Sheng Xinghe let go of his hand and stared at Shu Jin blankly. After about ten seconds, he turned Shu Jin over.

When Shu Jin woke up in the morning, Sheng Xinghe had already left.

The front desk called and told him, "Mr. Sheng has renewed your room for you, and you can stay as long as you want."

Shu Jin wrapped a nightgown and sat at the table in the living room. Everything that belonged to Sheng Xinghe had disappeared, and there was only a thin plane ticket for the return trip at 2 o'clock in the afternoon on the table.

Looking at the light blue sea level in the distance through the window, these two days have been like a dream.

Shu Jin replied in a hoarse voice: "No, I have to catch a plane too."

Back in Star City, Shu Jin still took a day off and went to a dinner with colleagues the night before resuming work.

In early winter, the temperature drops quickly, so Shu Jin only had to wear a trench coat when he left, and when he came back, he had to wear winter clothes.

Shu Jin found the wool coat, felt very cold when he walked downstairs, went back and put on a thin fleece coat, but still felt cold when he went out again, only then did he realize that the cold was not physical.

In the first year after leaving home, Shu Jin often felt this way.

I also live in a university dormitory, and my roommates think that the heating is too high, only he feels cold. When there was no one in the dormitory during the holidays, he was wrapped in a quilt and shivered.

Later, after graduating from university, I moved out of the dormitory and changed two rental places in a row, all thinking that the landlord's house was leaking.

In the end he didn't move.

Slowly, as I got to know more people and more friends, the coldness subsided quietly. It may be numbness or adaptation. Shu Jin rarely feels lonely anymore.

The place for dinner really chose the buffet.

More than a dozen colleagues from the department arrived at seven, seven, eight, eight, and Lin Xiang did what he said. In order to thank Shu Jin for inviting him out to see the luxury tour, he paid for everyone's consumption that night.

Young people get together very lively, playing games and telling jokes while eating.

Shu Jin behaved a little quieter than usual, and everyone just thought he was tired and had not recovered.

Lin Xiang had already shared with everyone the photos and experiences of their outing this time. As soon as Shu Jin came back, everyone inevitably talked about Sheng Xinghe.

Shu Jin was mentally prepared, and did not pretend to be secretive, acting very naturally.

"I only heard that Sheng Xinghe is from Yuecheng." A colleague said, "I know Shu Jin is also from Yuecheng, but I never thought they would actually know each other! This is the first time a celebrity has a relationship with someone around me. It's amazing!"

"Not only knowing, didn't Shu Jin say that Sheng Xinghe is his brother." Someone said.

Everyone was curious and asked Shu Jin what their relationship was.

"He's older than me and lived in my house for a while." Shu Jin said, "That's it, the relationship is not very close."

Someone asked: "Hey, was his eye like that when you met?"

Shu Jin was sitting on the other side of the long table, cooking a small hot pot of clear soup in front of him, and the chopsticks for the hot dishes paused: "Mm."

Lin Xiang approached him, touched his shoulder and said, "Is it true that Mr. Sheng's eyes were blinded by a playmate?"

As soon as Shu Jin's chopsticks loosened, the dish fell into the pot and could not be found.

He heard himself say, "I don't know."

Lin Xiang shrugged and didn't talk about this topic again.

After another round of discussions among colleagues, Lin Xiang turned around and saw Shu Jin still sitting there in a daze, so he asked him what was wrong.

Shu Jin raised his head, his face was very pale, and suddenly said to him, "It's me."

It was noisy, Shu Jin's voice was not loud, and Lin Xiang couldn't hear clearly: "What?"

Shu Jin still kept the volume and murmured to Lin Xiang, "It's me who broke Sheng Xinghe's eyes."
