After the blind man finished speaking, Nanfeng was stunned. The blind man's words "as much as you can remember" were full of helplessness, which showed that the blind man was already prepared for the worst.

"Master, is Taiqing Sect far from here?" Nanfeng asked.

The blind man guessed what Nanfeng was thinking, waved his hand and said, "Don't say you can't escape Lin Zhendong's eyes and ears. Even if you can reach Taiqing Mountain safely, you won't be able to recruit reinforcements."

Nanfeng didn't ask why. He had known for a long time that the relationship between the blind man and his master was not good, but he didn't expect that the relationship between the two would be so bad. Even if the blind man's life was in danger, the other party would not come to save him.

"Lin Zhendong has never seen the Taixuan Scripture..."

The blind man interrupted Nanfeng's words, "Lin Zhendong is a martial arts wizard, and he has dabbled in the practice scriptures of various sects in the Three Qing dynasties. Whether it is the Taixuan Sutra or not, and whether it has been tampered with, cannot be hidden from him."

Nanfeng lowered his head in frustration, "Master, do you have no chance of winning if you start a fight with Lin Zhendong?"

The blind man shook his head, "Lin Zhendong's Heavenly Evil Palm is fierce and domineering, and his spiritual energy cultivation is between Jushan and Dongyuan. Even if I still have my eyesight, I can only fight on a draw with him."

"Is there nothing we can do?" Nanfeng asked. He couldn't defeat him, couldn't escape, and couldn't recruit reinforcements. There really was no way at all.

The blind man smiled and said, "Nanfeng, what is your greatest wish in life?"

"What?" Nanfeng didn't understand why the blind man asked this.

"What do you want most?" the blind man asked.

Nanfeng didn't answer immediately. He had never thought about the question asked by the blind man before. He was suddenly asked what he wanted to do most, and he couldn't answer it.

"The most important thing in life is to understand what you want." The blind man said.

"Oh." Nanfeng nodded.

"Say what I just said again." The blind man said in a very serious tone.

"The most important thing in life is to understand what you want." Nanfeng repeated hurriedly.

"What do you want most?" the blind man asked again.

"I want not to be bullied." Nanfeng answered cautiously.

The blind man frowned and shook his head, "Is this your wish?"

Seeing the blind man frowning, Nanfeng quickly changed his mind, "I still want to act chivalrously and help others."

When the blind man heard this, his brows furrowed even more tightly and his tone became more severe, "Are you lying to me or yourself?"

Nanfeng was a little confused. He couldn't understand why the blind man asked this. He was a beggar. He only thought about how to have enough food. He didn't have any big ambitions. When he said he wouldn't be bullied, he was just talking about it. In fact, His biggest wish is to have food to eat and clothes to wear.

"Only by setting a goal for yourself can you work hard for it." The blind man tried to guide.

Nan Feng still seemed to understand but could only nod in response.

The blind man sighed again, the disappointment on his face was very obvious.

Seeing the blind man's disappointment, Nanfeng was very anxious, "Master, I understand what you mean. Only by setting a goal can we work hard for it, but I haven't decided yet what I want to do most."

"You are still young, so I can't blame you," the blind man said in a gentle tone, "You should remember that no matter what you do, you can't do it half-heartedly. Life seems long, but in fact it is very short. It is difficult to do one thing in your whole life. Well, if you vacillate between Chao Qin and Mu Chu, your life will be wasted, and you will end up with nothing."

After the blind man finished speaking, Nan Feng hurriedly answered, "I understand, Master, you asked me to concentrate on my work."

The blind man nodded, "These scriptures I taught you are very mysterious. You should keep them in mind. They are the foundation for your life."

"Yes, Master." Nanfeng nodded in agreement.

The blind man stood up and walked towards the fire bed. Nanfeng walked over and helped the blind man get on the bed.

The lecture on the scriptures was carried out in the dark, with the lights in the room turned off, and the blind man's voice was very low. As the saying goes, the Dharma is not transmitted to the six ears, so the blind man naturally did this to prevent others from eavesdropping.

Nan Feng became frightened after hearing the first sentence. The verse spoken by the blind man was very difficult to pronounce and he could not understand it at all. If the blind man knew that he could not understand, he would probably scold him.

"Master, I don't understand what this sentence means." Nanfeng said bravely.

What he didn't expect was that the blind man was not angry, but whispered, "The most important thing is to keep it in your heart. You will understand it in the future."

Although it is difficult to memorize by rote, it is much less difficult than understanding and comprehending. The blind man will recite a sentence along with it, and the blind man will correct any inaccuracies in pronunciation.

The first thing the blind man taught was the Dongshen Sutra. This sutra was very long, with more than 300 sentences. For most of the night, Nan Feng barely memorized a third of it.

In the second half of the night, the blind man went to sleep first, while Nanfeng didn't dare to sleep. His mind was now full of awkward and difficult sentences such as "The refining liquid of Sishen makes me realize the truth, the elixir of my mind is strong, and my throat is sharp." He was afraid that he would You forget when you fall asleep.

The purpose of not sleeping was to recite silently a few more times to strengthen his memory, but the effect was counterproductive. Without the blind man's correction, the more times he recited silently, the more confusion he had. In the end, his brain was completely filled with mush, and it was difficult to remember. I forgot all about living.

The next morning, the blind man asked him to recite. Nanfeng reluctantly recited a few sentences and then couldn't recite it anymore. The blind man was furious and scolded him severely.

After packing up, the two went on the road again. The blind man sat in the car and continued to teach. Nanfeng had already learned to drive the car and sat on the shaft of the car to listen carefully.

The south wind made me nervous that day. If he recited something wrong, the blind man would scold him severely. The more he scolded him, the more nervous he would be. The more nervous he would be, the less likely he would be able to remember. Even after sunset, the blind man would not stop and would still force him to recite.

In the end, Nanfeng couldn't stand it anymore and backed down, "Master, you also said that my qualifications are not good. I may not be the material for practicing Taoism and martial arts."

"What did you say?" The blind man looked gloomy.

Seeing that he was about to get angry, Nanfeng hurriedly changed the subject, "Master, are you thirsty? I'll give you some water."

Seeing that he was frightened and pitiful, the blind man relented and did not reprimand him, "The quality of your qualifications only affects the speed of Reiki practice and does not determine the level of your mind."

"Master, how many days have you memorized this sutra for how many days?" Nanfeng took the horse out of the shaft and tied it to a tree by the roadside.

"Two days," said the blind man.

"I've heard Master Huguo preach about the scriptures, but they don't seem to be that long." Nanfeng said.

The blind man helped Nanfeng erect the vertical poles to support the carriage. "The more introductory scriptures are, the longer they are, and the more advanced scriptures are, the fewer the words are."

Nanfeng's psychological pressure was slightly relieved after hearing this. If he works harder tonight, he should be able to recite it.

The two slept outdoors at night. In the second half of the night, the wind picked up and the temperature dropped sharply. The cold wind blew outside the carriage and it was also very cold in the car. However, the cold weather seemed to be more conducive to reciting memories. After hard work during the day and the first half of the night, the south wind finally came. I barely memorized this 300-sentence Dongshen Sutra.

After Nanfeng memorized this scripture, the blind man told him the truth, "It took me a whole month to read this scripture, but you only spent two days."

"Yeah." Nanfeng nodded in agreement. The blind man told him this to make him more confident in himself. The reason why he told him for two days before was because he was worried that he would develop a desire to compare and relax.

"Recite it again," said the blind man.

According to the blind man's request, Nanfeng recited the Dongshen Sutra again, and was sure that Nanfeng's recitation was correct. The blind man felt relieved, got up and went out to stretch his legs.

Nanfeng helped the blind man out of the carriage and found that it was snowing outside. He was worried that the horse would be frozen. Nanfeng looked for branches and weeds nearby and built a low wall to protect the horse from the wind.

When he was about to return to the car after doing this, Nanfeng suddenly found a person standing under a big tree in the distance. Because of the distance, the snow, and the dim light at night, he couldn't see the person's appearance clearly.

I blinked and looked again, only to find that the man was gone.

"Master, it seems that someone is spying on us." Nanfeng said.

The blind man had already returned to the car. Hearing Nan Feng's words, he replied from inside the car, "Ignore him."

Nanfeng responded and stepped towards the carriage. The reason why he could see a figure in the distance just now was because that person was wearing very conspicuous white clothes. People in the world usually wear black night clothes if they travel at night. , you should not wear white clothes, because white color can easily expose the target.

After getting up early, the south wind found that the snow was not falling heavily and could only cover the ground. However, the sky is dark and there is likely to be a heavier snowfall.

"Master, if it snows heavily, will it be a good thing or a bad thing for us?" Nanfeng asked.

"Everything has pros and cons," the blind man replied from the car.

"Master, should we walk faster or slower?" Nanfeng asked again.

"Anyone can," the blind man replied.

While on the way, the blind man continued to teach the next scripture, called Gaoxuan Zhenjing. Nanfeng had heard this scripture before, and it was this one that the Protector of the Country taught that day.

After listening to it once, you will be more or less impressed. It is easier to recite this sutra. He does not know the characters. Not knowing the characters also has the advantage of not being literate. If he does not know the characters, he will not be able to understand the meaning of the sutra. Just memorize it.

In the afternoon, it started to snow heavily. Before sunset, the two of them arrived at the town ahead. As usual, a waiter led them to the inn.

It snowed heavily. It lasted all afternoon and all night, and the snow on the ground was up to my knees.

The two were not allowed to go on the road and had to stay in the inn.

After the Gao Xuan Zhen Sutra comes the Sheng Xuan Zhen Sutra. The Sheng Xuan Zhen Sutra has about ten sentences less than the Gao Xuan Zhen Sutra. Since the one recited first is the one with the most words, it becomes easier and easier to recite the following ones. It only took Nanfeng one day to complete it. He memorized the Shengxuan Scripture.

Two days later, pedestrians, carriages and horses waded out of the snow, and the two men hit the road...
