The first thing that everyone who arrives at Leiyin Temple notices is not the various white pagodas and the numerous temples, nor the solemnity of tens of thousands of monks kneeling and chanting along the mountain, nor the golden statue that stands in the middle of the mountain, as tall as the mountain peak and emitting thousands of feet of Buddha's light.
Instead, it is a tall sacred tree, an ancient spiritual root, as crystal clear as jade and as winding as a dragon.
A Bodhi tree took root in front of the Leiyin Temple. Under the tree sat a handsome young monk. He was wearing a gray monk's robe, and was surrounded by hundreds of Buddhist disciples in front and behind him. Each of them regarded him as a living Buddha.
The vast spiritual light of the Bodhi tree spread out, illuminating this place as if it were the Western Paradise.
However, as long as you get closer, you can see that at this moment Monk Hongyuan is just an incarnation emitting spiritual light, and the golden body of Buddha standing in the center of Lingshan with its back against the mountain is the real Buddhist golden body of Monk Hongyuan.
There are two levels of Buddhist practice. One is the method of burning incense and worshipping the golden body, which is the secret of Buddhism and the foundation of Buddhism.
The other level is the Heart Sutra of Buddhism. Most Buddhist disciples practice the Heart Sutra of Buddhism, and are not allowed to practice the method of wearing incense and burning golden bodies.
Just like the Leiyin Temple, the hundreds of meters tall golden statue of Buddha on Lingshan Mountain is the supreme golden body that has been cultivated and practiced by the entire Leiyin Temple. It possesses earth-shaking power at any time.
However, the golden body of Buddhism is refined with incense and is just an external object. What the golden body cultivates is only magical power, not the true spirit.
Therefore, if one wants to attain enlightenment, become an arhat, cross the boundless sea of suffering and attain immortality, Buddhist practice must be combined with the Buddhist Heart Sutra.
It takes the combined efforts of millions of people to train a Buddhist golden body, and then all the disciples practice the corresponding Buddhist Heart Sutra. Even if the first generation of Buddhists who practiced the Buddhist golden body died, the golden body is still there and continues to be passed down.
As long as there is one person among the future generations who successfully practices the Heart Sutra of Buddhism and achieves the status of Arhat, he or she will be able to inherit the power of the golden body. The golden body and the Arhat's Bodhicitta will merge into one and become the Arhat's golden body.
Although this method seems to be quite different from that of Xundu Academy, they actually have the same effect.
Outside the Leiyin Temple, within a radius of a thousand miles, you can see lush greenery everywhere, with mountains and forests undulating, but further away is the endless desert.
Leiyin Temple is located in the Pure Land of Buddhism, where large and small Buddhist temples can be seen everywhere, and in each place you can see believers of the Buddha walking between the earthen walls.
The trade among countries and the lives of the people were as prosperous as those in the human territory of Dongzhou, and gradually gave birth to a unique culture belonging to the Buddhist land of Xizhou.
However, in addition to the Buddhist Pure Land where the Leiyin Temple is located, there are two other Buddhist sects that were developed by planting Bodhi tree seeds, such as the Dizang Temple and the Guanyin Temple.
However, the spiritual root Bodhi tree produces a Bodhi seed every hundred years. Although the seed plant also has some of the power of the spiritual root Bodhi tree, it is no longer an ancient spiritual root and cannot produce Bodhi seeds. It can only give birth to a land vein.
Leiyin Temple is the ancestral temple of Buddhism, and what is cultivated here is the golden body of Vairocana Tathagata. All monks practice the Vairocana Tathagata Sutra. Their ultimate practice is to refine the golden body of Buddhism into the real Vairocana Tathagata and create a real Buddha.
Even if this Buddha is not great, there will be the next generation of Buddhist disciples and monks who will follow suit. As long as the golden body of Vairocana Tathagata is here, one day someone will be able to attain this fruit position.
The Ksitigarbha Temple was founded by the monk Di Ku. The monks and disciples practiced the Ksitigarbha Sutra and left behind a golden body of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. However, the monk had already entered the underworld and became the first god of the underworld in Buddhism. He controlled the reincarnation authority of some creatures in the Western Continent, and the incense and vows of Buddhism also came from this.
Since they don't have incense or other magical tools, they can only collect power of wishes in this way.
Guanyin Temple is very different from the other two holy sites, as most of the inhabitants are nuns.
Although these three Buddhist holy sites were not established by Vairocana Tathagata, Ksitigarbha and Guanyin, their ultimate goal is indeed to cultivate a true Buddha or Bodhisattva.
Under the three Buddhist holy places and pure lands, there are many Buddhist countries and millions or tens of millions of Buddhist believers. This is also the foundation of Buddhism in this Western Continent and the result of its development in the past three hundred years.
At first glance, the prosperity of Buddhism is astonishing.
But on this day, the Leiyin Temple closed the mountain gate and activated the great formation. Thousands of Buddhist disciples and monks chanted Buddhist scriptures non-stop, and a powerful force condensed in the sky.
Even the golden Buddha statue sitting cross-legged in the center of Lingshan Mountain was constantly emitting Buddhist light and chanting.
The entire Leiyin Temple was on high alert. Not only that, even the Buddhist Arhats from the two Buddhist holy sites, Dizang Temple and Guanyin Temple, came here in person to guard the place.

The entire Buddhist community was on high alert, because they knew that the existence of the creatures in the blood sea and the Demon Kingdom would never allow Monk Hongyuan to break through. They would definitely attack at that time to stop Monk Hongyuan from breaking through to the fifth level and establishing the Golden Body Buddhist Kingdom. Even though this place was far away from the blood sea and the Demon Kingdom, their power would be weakened to the limit, but they would not sit idly by.
Within a radius of a thousand miles, in every city and village, tens of millions of Buddhist believers chanted scriptures and prayed.
The golden body of Tathagata in the center of Lingshan continued to emit golden light and chant. The sound spread along the sky and sea of clouds, all the way to the distance.
On both sides of Lingshan Mountain, there are golden statues of Ksitigarbha and Guanyin guarding it.

A strange sound came from the sky, and suddenly, the originally clear sky and the white sea of clouds changed color in an instant, and the entire sky turned blood red.
At the same time, even the sun in the sky seemed to turn into a blood-red sun, shining on the earth.
Countless Buddhist practitioners and monks looked up at the sky, and everyone's face was dyed red by the blood, which brought an ominous color.

In an instant, endless Shuras and Yakshas rushed out from the sky, led by a gorgeous woman whose figure emerged from above the sea of clouds. Only the upper body of the woman was visible, covering the sky, stretching for more than ten miles.
"Rakshasa Ghost Mother!" Everyone in Lingshan recognized this blood sea demon. According to legend, this existence lives in the deepest part of the blood sea and will never easily appear in the world. But this time, it actually came out for Monk Hongyuan.
The two golden Buddhist bodies simultaneously emitted a thousand-foot-long Buddha light, heading towards the sky, trying to disperse the blood cloud and the image of the Rakshasa Ghost Mother.
Unexpectedly, as soon as the Rakshasa ghost mother opened her mouth, a surging sea of blood fell from the sky, directly rushing down the two golden bodies of Buddhism, and destroying the entire Lingshan formation together.
The surging sea of blood gathered, the blood energy rose to the sky, and all kinds of filthy, evil, and hateful auras were born here. In an instant, the Lingshan Leiyin Temple, the pure land of Buddhism, seemed to have turned into an extremely filthy devil's cave.
The sea of blood submerged the entire Lingshan Mountain and dispersed into rivers of blood flowing in all directions.
The Lingshan formation was corroded in an instant, and countless Buddhist monks and disciples died instantly. When the power was exhausted, the Rakshasa Ghost Mother seemed to be restricted by some kind of figure, and she dissipated and retreated back into the sea of blood.
Countless Asuras, Yakshas and blood sea creatures rushed out and fought with the Buddhist monk. The Asuras and Yakshas were ugly and tall, and devoured the flesh and blood of living people, while the female blood sea creatures exuded a charming aura, invaded people's spirits and ate their souls.
The two golden bodies of Buddhism were also blocked by several extremely powerful Blood Sea Shuras who turned into giants. They fought against each other and completely tore apart the mountains and rivers near Lingshan.
The golden statue of Vairocana Tathagata in the center of Lingshan is still sitting quietly with his eyes closed. The Bodhi tree on top of it emits a clear jade-colored light, guarding it.
Thousands of Buddhist monks, disciples and warriors surrounded the place and did not allow anyone to get close to it.
At this time, a demon wearing a long robe, who looked different from the other creatures in the sea of blood, exuded blood energy and led thousands of Shuras and Yakshas to attack the mountain continuously.
Overlapping monsters gathered towards the Holy Mountain. The leading monster raised a long sword, and with a sword light that spread for miles, he slashed towards the golden body of Vairocana.
The sword light carried a tremendous force of resentment and filth, trying to cut through the golden body of Vairocana Tathagata and pollute him, making it impossible for Monk Hongyuan to break through again.
"Mo Yun! Stop it!"

The demon was named Mo Yun, a capable general under the command of the Rakshasa Ghost Mother and a fourth-level blood sea creature. Seeing Mo Yun's actions, the two entangled golden bodies of Ksitigarbha and Guanyin all roared and rushed here desperately.
Thousands of Buddhist disciples even tried to resist with their bodies, rushing towards Namo Yun like moths to a flame, but were instantly devoured by the army of monsters or drowned in a sea of blood.
It was too late. The golden body would be destroyed in an instant. This time, Buddhism would be severely damaged and would no longer be able to suppress and block the power of the sea of blood and the devil country.
However, at this moment, the golden body of Vairocana Tathagata suddenly opened his eyes, and golden swastika runes vibrated out, instantly spreading over a dozen miles away.
Together with the Bodhi tree, it is transmitted to the distance along with the earth veins.
The filth and blood river on the entire Lingshan Mountain were instantly defeated and eliminated, and thousands of monsters were turned into ashes in an instant by the Buddha's light.
Mo Yun, who was raising his sword to slash, was shaken away dozens of miles by the awakened golden body of Vairocana and fled without looking back.
The entire Blood Sea Demon Kingdom army collapsed in an instant. The moment the golden body of Vairocana Tathagata awakened, it meant its demise.
However, after the golden body of Vairocana Tathagata cleared out all the invading monsters from the Blood Sea Demon Kingdom, it did not stop its actions. Instead, after refining the sacred mountain that had long been refined like treasures and the land within a radius of dozens of miles, it flew up with this small Buddhist kingdom.
"Buddhism on the palm of your hand!" With the magical power of the Buddha's Kingdom on the palm of your hand, he carried two golden statues of Buddha, a large number of Buddhist disciples and monks and rushed towards the distance, wanting to take advantage of the great victory to expand the results of the battle.
Lingshan Land was flying in the sky, heading towards the distant Blood Sea Demon Cave and Demon Kingdom.
In the huge cave that looks like the gate to the underworld, an endless river of blood flows out. Along the banks of the blood river and near the devil's cave, there are a large number of creatures who have fled to the sea of blood or transformed into demons and live here.
So many demon creatures gathered here that they established a demon kingdom. For hundreds of years, they have been constantly at war with the Leiyin Temple and the Buddhist sect.
At this moment, all the monsters in the Demon Kingdom and the creatures in the Blood Sea looked up and saw a huge mountain suddenly flying from the sky, pressing down on the Blood Sea Demon Cave and located in the center of the Demon Kingdom.
A vast Buddha's light and shadow rose into the sky, and bursts of Zen chanting spread into the distance.
At this moment, all the monsters and creatures in the sea of blood in the Demon Kingdom were either directly annihilated under the Buddha's light, or fled away for their lives.
From then on, Leiyin Temple moved to this place and sat above the Blood Sea Demon Cave, suppressing the largest exit of the Blood Sea.
Monk Hongyuan and the Leiyin Temple want to use this method to continuously consume and suppress the increasingly powerful creatures in the sea of blood. They want to suppress the sea of blood through the power of the Golden Body Buddha Kingdom, the Bodhi Tree, and the faith of tens of millions of Buddhist believers.
Monk Hongyuan then took the golden body of Vairocana into the depths of the Blood Sea Demon Cave, but he returned with heavy damage. However, the existence in the depths of the Blood Sea seemed to have suffered heavy losses as well.
At this time, in the distant sky, two Taoists with extraordinary magical powers came across the sea and stepped into the Buddhist land of Xizhou.
