The letter paper has turned yellow and the ink is smudged along the edge of the paper.
The person who wrote had such strong handwriting that the characters were visible through the paper that even without seeing the person, one could feel that this person must be a man of talent and learning.
The signature below is the name of the Prince of Chu.
During the Rebellion of the Three Kings, the King of Chu was actually the most innocent. His fiefdom at the time was between the King of Qin and the King of Han, and he was attacked by both kings. If he had not joined the rebellion, he would not have survived. Not only would his fiefdom be swallowed up, but the lives of his entire family would not have been saved.
The King of Chu was timid and had no choice but to join the rebellion. However, he secretly led his son away early. However, this was discovered by the other two kings, who secretly sent people to hunt down the Prince of Chu.
The Crown Prince of Chu did not like power struggles. When the King of Chu first raised his army, he was strongly opposed to it. However, the trend of the times forced the King of Chu to raise his army.
The Prince of Chu left in anger, taking some of his trusted aides with him. But before he arrived, he heard the sad news of the defeat of the three kings. The Prince of Chu immediately ordered the dismissal of everyone else, gave them silver and asked them to leave. They said there was no need to look for him anymore and they could just treat him as an ordinary citizen.
The Prince of Chu left with only two servants around him. When the pursuing soldiers arrived, the Prince of Chu fell off a cliff to avoid them and was rescued by a young girl.
This girl is Ji Luoxuan's biological mother. She comes from a medical family. Her father is an expert in medicine and likes quietness. He lives in the mountains with his daughter and several servants and is indifferent to fame and fortune.
The gentle girl and the elegant young man fell in love with each other, so the Prince of Chu stayed and the two became husband and wife. Later, Ji Luoxuan was born. The couple lived in harmony and their son was extremely intelligent.
But the Prince of Chu was in poor health. He fell off a cliff and injured his body. After living in hiding for several years, his health deteriorated.
Finally, before his death, he told his wife and children his true identity and left a suicide note for them.
This suicide note is divided into two parts. The first part talks about his identity and the helplessness of the King of Chu who was forced to rebel. The second part talks about why the second king sent soldiers to hunt him down because of a book of miscellaneous talks in his hand.
The three kings conspired to rebel together, and their property was placed in one place. A small half was used as military supplies, and the other large half was hidden. The specific treasure hiding place was recorded in the miscellaneous talks. Only when all six miscellaneous talks were collected could the final treasure hiding place be found. Each of the three kings received two books.
The King of Qin and the King of Chu each sent a copy to their daughters in the capital, one to Princess Xian'an and one to Princess Hengyang.
The other one was given to the prince.
The three kings agreed that if anything happened in the future, the descendants of the three families must work together to open the treasure land and then conspire together. This was also the escape route they had left when they planned the rebellion.
But the King of Chu had no intention of doing so, and he was even more unwilling to let his descendants get involved in such a thing again. Although he gave the book to his daughter, Princess Hengyang, as agreed to the King of Qin, he secretly told her not to seek revenge if anything happened, as it was all God's will, and she just had to protect herself.
At that time, it won’t matter whether she keeps the book or not.
The other one was given to his son, which had the same meaning. If the army was defeated, there was no need to avenge him. It was originally a disaster for the people, and doing it out of necessity was already against the will of heaven. Moreover, if the rebellion was really successful, in the end, he might not end up well.
The Prince of Chu also made this part clear in his suicide note, repeatedly telling his son not to hate the royal family. In fact, whether he was defeated or won, the King of Chu did not think he would be fine.
When the prince left in anger, he didn't know what the King of Chu was thinking. He felt heartbroken when he thought about it later. It was obvious that the King of Chu had thought that this would happen a long time ago.
The latter part talks about his engagement in Chu. This is also an explanation to his wife. He specifically mentioned that when he was in Chu, the King of Chu arranged a marriage for him with the daughter of a powerful official in Chu. The Prince of Chu didn't like her very much and said that the woman was vicious by nature and thought she was his fiancée. If any woman approached him or spoke to him, she would be either hurt or killed.
However, when the Prince of Chu left, he asked the King of Chu to cancel the marriage. He would not acknowledge this woman, and told his wife that if she heard of such a woman in the future, she should stay away from her. The farther away from such a vicious and cruel woman, the better.
There is no need to care about her. In his heart, only his wife is the one he loves, and that woman is nothing.
The abbot of Qingyun Temple was holding this page of letter in her hand. Reading the words on it, her whole body was trembling and her face was as pale as snow.
This is one of the two letters left by Ji Luoxuan. This one is the suicide note of the Prince of Chu, and the other one talks about the reasons and consequences of his trip to Beijing.
Because of his father's affairs, he came to Beijing specially to take a look, so he made a trip to Beijing, and then by accident he entered Ji Hanyue's eyes and was sent to Mo Ying to treat her eyes. After that, every time he left, it was just to visit other places and walk the old path of his father.
"That's what he said," the Qingyun Temple Master asked through gritting his teeth.
The guard asked back, "Master, can't you tell who wrote this?"
Therefore, this was really written by the Prince of Chu. In his heart, he was actually such a cruel woman.
Cancel the engagement? She didn't admit it. Just a few days before the accident, the King of Chu sent someone to cancel the engagement. At that time, she didn't know that the Prince of Chu had left. She led people to angrily rush into the Prince of Chu's residence, but she didn't meet the Prince of Chu. He only said that he had left Chu because of important matters.
In a rage, she beat to death several maids who served the Prince of Chu.
Seeing those maids being beaten to death and blood all over the ground, she felt a little better. She was the most noble lady in Chu. No one was more noble than her except Princess Hengyang. Princess Hengyang had been serving the Queen Mother in the capital and seldom returned to Chu. She had only met her a few times.
As for the other concubines of the King of Chu, none of them were as noble as her.
Only she is worthy of the Prince of Chu, those women are not! How dare they get close to the Prince of Chu? Was it because she was vicious that she ruined them, and wasn't it because those daughters were willing to be lowly
Her rebellion failed and she escaped in the chaos. Overnight, she went from being a noble lady to a fugitive. There was no place for her to stay in the world, and she couldn't find the Prince of Chu.
He had no choice but to come to the capital to seek help from Princess Hengyang. After going through untold hardships, he found Princess Hengyang and became the most trusted person around her.
But is he really the person you trust the most
Why didn't Princess Hengyang tell her about those miscellaneous books even before her death? If it wasn't for the people around the Second Prince of Northern Frontier revealing it this time, she wouldn't have known that Princess Hengyang had such a crucial book in her hands.
She was wholeheartedly seeking revenge for Chu, for Princess Hengyang, and for the Prince of Chu.
But what did she see? She saw that the Prince of Chu had happily married and had children, and had lived happily together for more than ten years. She saw the Prince of Chu's contempt for her, and also saw his tenderness towards his wife. When he only mentioned her, it was as if she was the most vicious woman in the world!
So who is she doing this for now
She raised many beautiful girls in Qingyun Temple, and sent them to various places to build her own network of relationships. On the one hand, she wanted to make Qingyun Temple famous, and on the other hand, she wanted to confuse the world.
She wanted to bury the entire Zhou Dynasty with the Prince of Chu, and she wanted to destroy the entire Zhou Dynasty.
When Princess Hengyang was still alive, she made friends with people in the palace, from the Empress Dowager to the current Empress and Concubine He, and prepared to make friends with them when the time is right in the future.
Her and Princess Hengyang's reputations are getting better and better, and Qingyun Temple's reputation is getting bigger and bigger. Which one of them is not her means. If she is just a Princess Hengyang, what use will it be? She will blame herself all day long and dare not take revenge with all her heart, let alone the ambition to take revenge. She will only cry and worship her biological parents.
What's the use of this
She is not a weak Princess Hengyang. She wants to avenge the Prince of Chu and secretly plot to disrupt the world.
From the death of Empress Yuan, to the accident of the former Crown Princess, the entry of Concubine Yuan into the palace, and the gift of the phoenix-head guqin afterwards, her ability was not involved in any of these events.
Based on the little she knew, she guessed which people could be used and interacted with, and which people could play a role in confusing the world. She had also wanted to make friends with the former Crown Princess, but she was so focused on observing mourning that she never had the chance. When she had the chance, she was more optimistic about Ji Youran, and she had been helping Ji Youran.
She was devoted to the Prince of Chu, but he actually treated her like this.
The guard pulled the letter back from his hand and pointed to the door outside, "Master, please come in!"
"Please wait a moment, I'm going to get something important." The master of Qingyun Temple slowly stood up and shook his heavy body.
"Hurry up." The guard said impatiently.
This matter is now under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice. They are from the Ministry of Justice. They did not expect that the master of Qingyun Temple was actually a member of the Three Kings' rebellion, and now she has been involved in a new round of imperial power change.
The abbot of Qingyun Temple turned and entered the inner room. There was a painting hanging on the wall of the inner room. It was a portrait of the Prince of Chu. She had painted it herself, but now it looked more like a joke.
The master of Qingyun Temple laughed, and his laugh was very crazy. He walked forward while laughing, stretched out his hand and tore off the portrait. With a ferocious expression, he tore the portrait into pieces, and then let the fragments float in the air.
All the perseverance I had maintained for so many years collapsed when I saw this letter.
He already had a wife and children, and lived a happy life, but she was still holding on to something. He even never recognized her until his death, and kept his wife and children away from her.
Blood flowed out of her mouth, along with her crazy laughter, and sprinkled on her plain Taoist robe, making the robe look like blooming plum blossoms.
