Finn is dying of exhaustion!
There was a buzzing in my ears, and I could clearly hear the violent heartbeat in my chest. Venus flickered in front of my eyes, and snowflakes appeared densely above my vision one after another.
His hands and feet were almost out of control, and every time he took a step forward, it felt like the bones in his body were falling apart.
One of the daily physical trainings was long-distance running. The task for ordinary students was to run five laps around the field, while Kashu and Finn ran ten laps. The difficulty was not simply doubled. The further you went, the less physical strength you had, and the harder it was to run.
It is an exercise that tests the students' perseverance.
"Huff, huff, huff..." Finn felt like his throat was about to smoke, and a burning sensation rushed from his nostrils and trachea all the way to his lungs.
“Tattah…Tattah…” Footsteps were heard from the left.
A thin figure appeared in Finn's peripheral vision. In the other formation, Kashu, who was also being punished, was running at a steady speed. Although he also looked sweaty, his pace seemed to be much easier than Finn's, and his speed was visibly much faster.
At first, Finn tried to speed up when he was running parallel to Kashu, hoping to avoid being embarrassed. But later, he was really exhausted and just kept running with his head down.
When Finn finished the seventh lap and came to the eighth lap, Kaxiu on the left field had already walked out of the white line track and came to the shade of the tree, pounding his legs while leaning against the tree trunk.
His eyes would scan over here from time to time.
"He finished running?!" Finn had just had this doubtful thought when the fatigue that surged through his limbs washed away the thought. Hot wet sweat squeezed out of his pores, and the fine sweat on his forehead flowed down his eyelids and nose wings, all the way to his chin.
"Ninth lap... I really can't run anymore..."
On the playground, Finn put down his hands, walked with trembling steps, his chest heaving violently, and panting heavily.
"Get back! Keep running! Two more laps!"
A tall figure walked over from under the shade of the tree nearby. He was nearly 1.9 meters tall, with a crew cut and a very serious expression on his face.
Instructor Dandong is a serious and conservative person. He is the most serious of the five instructors and only follows the rules.
Finn's drunken molestation of a female student had a very bad impact. Although the instructor pleaded for him, the youth training camp director could not not punish him. So after Finn recovered, he was sent directly to the Dandong instructor, with double training punishment for ten days, during which he had to strictly abide by the punishment regulations.
In other words, it is impossible for Instructor Dandong to leave food for Kasu like Instructor Lisha did.
"Now, get back!" Coach Dandong raised his muscular arms and pointed at the runway with a cold and expressionless face.
"Coach, I can't run anymore... I... cough cough cough..."
Finn said breathlessly. He just felt bitter in his mouth and his throat was so dry that he wanted to cough.
"I'll say it again! Now, get back here right now!"
Finn looked up and was completely covered by the tall shadow of Instructor Danton. There were also students pointing and talking under the tree next to him.
"I'll only count to three. I have a bad temper. Don't ask me to teach you how to run in person!" Coach Dandong lowered his head slightly.
"three… "
"Yes!" Finn immediately backed down and ran back.
Not far away, there seemed to be faint laughter coming from under the shade of the trees.
Finn gritted his teeth and took another step.
After a whole morning of physical training, Finn was almost exhausted. If it weren't for the fact that he developed earlier and his body was bigger and stronger than other people of his age, and he could still finish it by forcing himself, he would have cried for help.
It was lunch time, and all five groups of students on the playground left to go to the cafeteria to eat. Only Kaxiu and Finn were still exercising, with assistants from two groups supervising them.
"Oh, what bad luck. The lunch break time will be shortened, and I want to sleep a little longer at noon." The assistant supervising Finn stood on the dividing line with his hands on his hips, moving the camera as he spoke.
"It's okay. I'm not that sleepy." The assistant who was supervising Kaxiu on the other side crossed his arms and spoke in a bored tone.
"Don't be lazy, Finn!"
The assistant of Group 3 suddenly turned around and shouted.
The weather is gloomy, but the temperature today is relatively cool.
The two assistants talked intermittently for more than an hour. Time passed quite quickly as they were supervising and chatting at the same time.
"Report, the last set of squats has been completed." Kaxiu ran over and stood in front of the four groups of assistants and said.
"Sure. We finished it very quickly today, just over an hour. That's half an hour earlier than usual." The assistant from Group 4 glanced at the pocket watch left by Instructor Lisha, then patted Kasu on the shoulder.
"Not bad, not bad, let's go and eat."
After he finished speaking, he turned around and said, "Let's go."
"Yeah." The assistant from Group 3 nodded slightly. Looking at the two people leaving the playground, he suddenly turned his head and looked at Finn.
"Hurry up! There are still three sets of squats, two sets of push-ups, and one set of pull-ups to do! You are so slow, are you going to leave the training for tomorrow?! We still have to practice basic fighting skills in the afternoon!!"
"Yes." Finn gritted his teeth and continued to exercise.
It was afternoon now and everyone was practicing basic fighting skills. Of course, the most tired ones were Cassidy and Finn.
But there is a slight difference, one is unwilling and reluctant, while the other is quite active, even a little bit willing to do it? The sun gradually moved through the clouds.
Unfortunately, it rained.
Kaxiu stretched out his hand to catch a few drops of rain. He cursed the horrible weather in his heart, then raised his arms and hammered the wooden stake hard.
"Fighting moves (elementary): 9.2%"
"Exercise rack (stage 1): 8.7%"
I had originally wanted to practice the fighting moves to 10% today, but now that it's raining I'm afraid the efficiency of my training will be greatly reduced.
"Why?"
"What do you think this is? This is a punishment! Levi over there can do it, so what reason do you have to hide from the rain and not train?"
Not far away, the sound of quarreling could be heard faintly.
Kaxiu narrowed his eyes slightly and looked over. All the students on the playground had already evacuated. Fine raindrops fell from the gray sky, getting heavier and heavier, gradually soaking the ground.
In Group 3, Finn was arguing with Instructor Danton.
In other words, Finn was being scolded unilaterally.
Since they were quite far away, Kaxiu could not hear clearly, except that sometimes he could vaguely hear his own name.
The sky was getting darker and darker, and dark clouds were piled up one after another, like a large piece of black waves piled up together.
The rain was getting heavier.
Under the eaves of the building next to the playground, Kashu and Finn were hitting the wooden stakes in front of them from a distance of fifty or sixty meters.
Raindrops hit the ground, and water splashed on their trouser legs from time to time. This was the place where Kashu rode and beat Finn that night.
Revisiting the old place, Finn's expression was a little unnatural. His eyes kept glancing towards Kasu from time to time, and it was unknown what he was thinking.
Dinner time was about an hour and a half past.
Kaxiu retracted his fists, asked for the end of the meeting to the instructor Dandong who was supervising nearby, and then strode towards the dormitory in the rain.
As for Finn, it will probably take another hour or two...
