Concept versus concept.
Start versus end.
The strongest versus the strongest.
The impact of the two "ultimate" contacts, along with the distortion of space, destroyed everything around them.
In the narrow gap between the two forces, the huge energy and the concept above it competed with each other.
This moment seemed to be recorded in an ancient epic.
It feels like the world was born seven times and destroyed seven times.
In the vortex of tremendous power, in this situation where one could be in danger if one is not careful, a man and a woman are still smiling.
That is the joy of meeting a good opponent of equal strength. Even your strongest attack cannot defeat him. What could be more worthwhile than this
The two people from heaven and earth just smiled at each other and exerted their strength to their heart's content.
Until the energy of the killing treasures could no longer continue and dissipated into the surrounding mist.
Even after the fog dissipated, it still retained the ability to cause a tornado.
The cracks in space were slowly healed by the world itself, and the two peerless heroes started their second confrontation.
This time, it was no longer a clash between "ultimates". Even as strong as they were, releasing such a blow would still require a huge burden.
The roar of the Sword of Separation slowly died down, and Gilgamesh raised his free hand. A golden bow with a divine air opened above his head. It was the "Sword of Ending Enki" that he had used in the battle with Artoria. It was named after a sword, but it was actually a bow.
Scathach retracted the magic spear pointing to the sky, and turned it in her hand gracefully and calmly. The shadow under her feet seemed to come alive, spreading across the scarred land. Although this power was not divine, it was no less powerful than the "End Sword Enki".
After another tacit gaze, the tyrant of ancient Babylon began to declare.
"The fire of catastrophe falls from the sky! The raging waves of Nabistim are coming!—"
The divine arrow, filled with divine power, flew off the bow and shot towards Scathach's forehead, but the latter easily avoided it.
However, Gilgamesh did not feel it was a pity, because the purpose of this arrow was not to kill, but simply to locate.
The so-called "Sword of End Enki" does not refer to the golden bow floating above the head of the Hero King, but to the seven stars of destruction floating in satellite orbit far above, out of the earth's surface and out of the atmosphere.
It was recorded in the world's oldest epic that the water god Ea summoned a flood to destroy mankind. With each passing day, the torrent would increase, and on the seventh day the flood would evolve into the terrible Nabistine tsunami that would sweep the entire world.
And these seven "Stars of Destruction" are the embodiment of this great flood. When the seven stars descend and converge in the sky to form an ancient divine ritual, the great flood will occur again.
Although due to the limitations of modern rules, the Rage of Nabistine cannot really destroy the world, it can still occasionally create a local flood and submerge a city or a place.
Gilgamesh proposed to change places precisely for this reason. He could not care about the lives of the residents of Fuyuki City, but Rin could not, because this was Rin's hometown after all.
Now, the "Star of Destruction" has finally fallen.
"The end is coming—the sword of death, Enki!"
Amid the laughter of the Golden Heroic Spirit, a raging wave that covered the sky and the moon and destroyed cities and the earth passed by Gilgamesh and swept him down.
It is impossible to avoid an attack of this magnitude. No matter where you go, you cannot escape the flood.
So Scathach didn't hide, nor did she escape.
She just spoke and called out in a very calm tone.
"See the real Land of Shadows! Open the door to the other world! Your soul and I will own it!—"
Then, the barrier of reality was twisted, and an ancient door emerged from the endless shadows.
The gloomy and dark colors reveal the fact that there will never be daylight in the Kingdom of Shadows.
The gusts of cold wind that came through the twisted door and cracks announced that it was the realm of the dead, isolated from the living.
Countless souls were wailing, among them were humans, animals, and gods. They turned into sculptures and attached to the door to warn all beings in front of the door - no matter who you are, entering this door will lead to death.
"—The Gate of Skye, a place filled with death!"
The true name is released and the door to the devil's realm is opened.
The opening released an endless suction force, swallowing up the flood that fell from the sky like a bottomless abyss.
Scathach's idea is very simple, you have brought about a flood that will destroy the world, right? I will give you a world to destroy.
Just like this, one releases and the other takes.
Endless, endless.
After an unknown amount of time, Gilgamesh in the sky burst into laughter.
"You actually directed the flood to the 'Land of Shadows'; you have given me another surprise, Queen of the Land of Shadows."
Scathach stepped on the rune and avoided the rapids with a faint smile.
"Same here, Hero King. You keep surprising me as well."
"I am very curious about how your country will deal with this sudden disaster."
"No need to deal with it. The only inhabitants there are the undead. They should have been destroyed long ago. You'd better destroy the entire Shadow Kingdom, including me. Then I will only be grateful to you."
"As a mere servant, I cannot do this, and—" the Hero King, who had suppressed his arrogance, shook his head frankly, "—the door seems to be closing."
"Because the Nabistim flood is coming to an end."
"Didn't you say that my soul is your property?"
"Didn't you also say that you wanted me to face the end?"
"Ha ha ha ha."
"Hehehe."
The tyrant and the queen smiled at each other. At the same time, the star of destruction disappeared into thin air, and the ancient door sank into shadow.
The second round of confrontation ended, and the result was—
"It seems that I am slightly better."
As the King of Heroes said, there was still about one meter of accumulated water under Scathach's feet. Although it could not affect the duel between the two top servants, it proved the fact that the "Gate of Demon Overflowing with Death" could not completely swallow the "Sword of the End Enki".
Scathach gave a playful smile to this conclusion.
"I left that there on purpose - don't you feel it? The changes that are happening over there are not just about you, the flood, and the epic."
"Huh?"
Gilgamesh's pupils dilated, and the extraordinary strength granted by the archer transcended the limitations of distance and was thrown towards the other side that Scathach mentioned. There, the huge waves that should have receded surged and rolled, creating a fantasy scene that should not exist in modern times.
Amid the huge waves, a young man with the same tone as the waves chanted another epic poem.
"Heimdall's horn blows, heralding the end of Asgard."
"The defeated gods were annihilated by Surtur's flames, and the world tree collapsed and was swallowed by the waves."
"The Age of Gods fell, and the Age of Man began."
"The final dusk, the final epic poem - Ragnarok Saga!"
Another great flood, another end.
PS: Master: My door is always open, and I am waiting for you with open arms.
PS2: I wrote this paragraph because I thought it was cool. After 2.2 came out, this move felt even more like déjà vu. I suddenly wanted to go to the Nordic Lostbelt and chant it again. Could it be that the next book of the treacherous young master should really be about FGO? But I obviously have other ideas that I want to realize. It's a headache.
PS3: Speaking of this, we have to mention Thor. Mjolnir was rated as the top Noble Phantasm of the Nordic series in Moyi, but its performance was far surpassed by the "Flaming Demon Sword (Levantine)" of the Giant King, which is really embarrassing. (It is not impossible to explain it, such as the environment is not right, not the Age of Gods environment, and it is not used by Thor himself, so it cannot exert its true power.)
