Chapter 1225: Final remarks

Views:

The book is officially completed here. It took almost a year and a half to write and has about 2.87 million words.

The number of words is slightly more than the previous book, but the time is much shorter. The writing style, narration and various plot ideas have also been significantly improved. Taking advantage of the adjustment period of less updates in the past few days, I reviewed what I wrote and found that the first book was really naive. This should be the so-called growth.

The new book is better than this one, both in my opinion and in the editor's evaluation. I think it should meet everyone's expectations.

Okay, let’s leave the talk about the new book for the end, and first let’s talk about what I’ve been wanting to say for more than a year.

The motivation for writing this book is not as pure as the first one. There are some popularity and economic factors involved. After all, Type-Moon is a large IP. Of course, this does not mean that Jian Shao is not attentive. In fact, Jian Shao's research on Type-Moon should be quite advanced even among Type-Moon fans.

To brag, there are people in the Moon Fan community who understand setting analysis better than Jian Shao, but there are none in the author community. You can find a lot of bugs in any fan fiction you open. This is what Jian Shao has always been proud of. It is the strength of this book, but also its weakness.

Someone mentioned to me that these bugs don't matter, as long as the story is good, and your excessive pursuit of rigorous settings and not conflicting with the official will become a failure. At first, I didn't believe it, but later I believed it. After all, readers call me - I set up the story, what's the matter with that? Indeed, the overly lengthy analysis, explanation and argumentation greatly affected the viewing experience.

I came to read the story, not the setting. If I want to read the setting, why don't I buy the setting collection? — This was said by an old reader who has a very good relationship with Jian Shao. At that time, I half-jokingly retorted that you don't understand Japanese and can't understand it, but in fact it is true. Jian Shao will correct this problem in the new book.

So far in the new book, there has been no long explanation of the settings, and the only longer one is an introduction to the background of Chaldea.

Even so, the performance of this book is three times higher than that of the previous book. This is due to the growth of Jian Shao himself and the popularity of the big IP "Type-Moon".

However, considering Type-Moon's popularity, the performance of this book should not be just like this. It should at least be a masterpiece, with an average subscription of 3,000. The reason why it was not achieved is entirely due to Jian Shao himself.

To be honest, at this time last year, this book did have the potential to become a masterpiece, but due to a series of actions by the treacherous young master himself, it was strangled.

One of the operations is the issue of Ryougi Shiki. It is obvious to all how popular Shiki is, and high popularity means high controversy. And because Shiki's love can be said to be the purest among Type-Moon, whether to break up the CP has become a big problem.

Some people will be unhappy if you dismantle it, and some people will be unhappy if you don't dismantle it either - an author friend of mine once advised me not to touch this kind of character, and to treat him as if he doesn't exist. After all, your Type-Moon is headed by FATE, and not many people have read Karaoke, Tsukihime, and Moye, and those people rarely come back to read your novels. As long as you write it, no matter how you deal with it, it will be a loss of popularity.

Because it was too late when it was mentioned, Jian Shao had already published it. Moreover, Jian Shao had a dream to write all the works of Type-Moon, so he just went for it, resulting in a drop in subscriptions.

This was the first obstruction, and it was also the only one that Jian Shao did not regret. After all, it is common for the author's ideas to conflict with the readers' ideas.

The second and third times of the blockage were actually due to the intrusion of the male protagonist of the first book. The original intention of the intrusion was that Jian Shao felt that the plot of the FA was too boring, but because the animation was just released, it would be a pity not to write it, so he decided to change it, but he couldn't figure out how to change it. After all, the response to the FA volume written by Wu Geng Luo Qing, who is also the author, was not good, and it would be a pity not to do something big.

It just so happened that the sequel to Trails of Cold Steel III was released, and old readers wanted to give Li Ye an explanation, so Li Ye was invited to come, and a voice actor joke was played. If it was just like that, it would be fine, but he took the position of the villain and created a trial to make Er Ye suffer. Although this is the most important part of Er Ye's journey to heaven, many readers gave up without seeing it.

In the words of one of the readers, life is already so helpless. I read novels to relax, not to read the so-called truth of these bitter and vengeful stories, so goodbye.

This is the biggest flaw in this book, and it is this flaw that completely cuts off Jian Shao's path to excellence. After Jian Shao finished writing the FA volume, he was still lamenting why 1.5.3 was not released earlier, so that he could have changed to Amakusa, which would have both caught on and made the plot more interesting. It can only be said that fate is playing tricks on people.

As for the others, they are all normal subscription fluctuations. After all, Type-Moon covers a wide range, and most readers only read Fate and have not read or even heard of others, so it is understandable that they don't read them.

After getting through the FA volume, I became more careful afterwards. The subscriptions were okay, the FATE line was high, and the other lines were lower. It was so stable that even I felt calm. In a sense, it was a good thing. I could calm down and write, create, and work steadily until the book was finished. Then, in the process, I could sort out my past gains and losses and prepare for the next book.

As for this ending, it was actually planned a long time ago. Some readers said that there is actually a lot more to write, which I don't deny, but the things that can be written are either just the beginning or just have an introduction. The best FSF is just getting better and better, and the things behind it are only the tip of the iceberg. I have no idea where to start, so I can only put it aside for now and see if I can complete it in future works.

To be honest, I didn't decide to continue writing Type-Moon at the beginning because I lost a lot of fans and the environment of Type-Moon was not as good as that of the next door guest.

At first, I planned to write an original work. The original works in the 2D area are getting better and better. Unfortunately, the editors were not optimistic about several of my ideas, so they abandoned them. When I returned to fan fiction, the editor said that there were too many people writing for big IPs like One Piece and Naruto, and the competition was fierce. Readers were also a little tired of it, so it was not easy to stand out. Finally, it was suggested that I write Marvel.

The Avengers has just hyped up the popularity, and Marvel has also been very supportive, with various new works being promoted. Asxs.'s Marvel performance is indeed very good, but unfortunately, I have very limited knowledge of Marvel, and to be honest, Marvel is more complicated and messy than Type-Moon, and I really don't have the energy to sort it out from scratch. It's not impossible to write it, but it's easy to become a stranger in someone else's skin, which is not what I want, so I gave up.

Just when Jian Shao was in distress, Yu Mei’s words woke me up. I can’t remember clearly what we were talking about at that time, but I only remember she said that if you want to write Type-Moon, do it quickly, because you may not have the chance in the future.

I asked her why. She said, "Don't you feel it?" Xingyue has become a little like Chewan before.

What does "chewan" mean? It means that something is obviously very popular and has a large audience, but as the audience grows older and develops habits, it creates a superficial phenomenon that it is not discussed much and does not seem to be very popular.

When there is a topic, a lot of people will come out, but when there is no topic, everyone will just lurk or discuss other issues. This new Touhou work is the best example. Under this situation, the demand for doujinshi will also decrease, affecting subscription performance.

Those who have been reading for a long time should be able to remember that there was a period of time when Gensokyo became a public bus. Any book about otaku had to be written in it. It was much more exaggerated than the single characters such as Ainz, Misaka Mikoto, and Busujima Saeko of the old three, and now Kasumigaoka Utaha and Yukinoshita Yukino, which can be described as "too high".

Now, although fan works are still being produced, they are not as popular as before. How many new readers know that the purple 17-year-old beautiful girl was not originally the master, but the gap monster Yakumo Yukari of unknown age.

Type-Moon is also showing that trend now, or it can be said that it has gone through a reincarnation. Back then, the popularity of My King was no less than that of the leading actress in Gensokyo, and he also dominated the two-dimensional fandom area, but what happened later? It gradually faded, faded, until FGO came out.

After all, a mobile game has a limited lifespan. Even though FGO can last for a long time by relying on plot and card appearance rather than gameplay, much longer than ordinary mobile games, it is inevitable that it will become outdated one day.

It takes nearly two years for a young man to write a book. If I miss the opportunity and come back later, I might really go back to hibernation, and I won’t be able to write even if I want to. After all, after my company changed its boss, my income from work is not enough to support me. I have to rely on writing books to make ends meet. After all, I am no longer the rich and willful me who didn’t care about subscriptions.

So, I decided to continue writing Type-Moon and continue writing the unfinished long chapter FGO, because this is my original dream. The results will not be good, but they will not be too bad either.

After I finish writing this book, I can proudly declare that I am the fan author who dominates all Type-Moon works. I will have no more worries and can freely write other things. I hope that the original environment in the two-dimensional area will be better by then.

I’ll just post two of my original ideas about the treacherous young master.

The first is to travel through time to a magical world similar to the Middle Ages, using the setting of the eight great weapons of the "Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword" to tell the story of the male protagonist and the other seven heirs of the great weapons of the "Fire Emblem".

The second one is about traveling to a modern-style magical world, telling the story of the male protagonist who deliberately loses a battle competition, takes the opportunity to run away from home, and looks for the life he wants.

Which one do you like more? Or maybe you don't like either one, please tell me why.

After finishing the new book, maybe I will continue writing, or I may have new ideas. No one can say what will happen next.

Next, let’s talk about the new book.

"Perseus' Journey to Chaldea", as the name suggests, is a story about FGO, and is a predecessor and successor to Erye - What is Perseus' nickname? Shendai Erye! The origin is said by Medusa, and Perseus is like the winning version of Erye, hence the name.

Therefore, you don’t need to think to know that Perseus and Erye have an inseparable relationship. And you have also seen the introduction of the new book. You thought I was Perseus, but it was actually me—Kazi SAMA! In a sense, it is very clear. (Note the color of Kazi SAMA)

There is no need to worry about this book being included in the story because it is a series of previous and subsequent works. In fact, it is not impossible to put it directly in Erye. But firstly, Erye already has so many words, and there will be basically no new readers, and the editor will not recommend it. There is no point in dragging it out. Secondly, after all, this is a new chapter, and it is not the main work of Erye that is involved. Thirdly, the new book will have new readers and new recommendations. Jian Shao also hopes that this book will become a masterpiece and fulfill one of his dreams.

I hope the new book will make everyone feel more comfortable and satisfied. Erye’s subsequent development and extra chapters will also be released together with the new book.

Finally, thank you all for your company. Please continue to support my new book by collecting and clicking on the recommendation votes. If it makes the list, I will update more chapters. If the performance is better than the previous book, I will update more chapters.

Finally, I would like to promote a group of book friends, 壹3贰648091, which is a group of book friends dedicated to Jian Shao. If you have any needs, such as what extra chapters you want to read, you can come in and tell Jian Shao. If the popularity is high, Jian Shao can also write a wave.
