Shrouded Seascape

Chapter 106: Living object containment site

Lily huddled inside a glass bottle, shivering. With tears in her eyes, she covered her ears with her little paws to prevent herself from hearing her companion's screams.

"I'm sorry, I'm useless, I can't save you... wuwuwu..."

As the screams of the rats outside stopped abruptly, the lid above Lily's head was unscrewed.

"Help!!! Let me go! Help!" Lily, who was caught in the hand of a man in a white robe, Mih, struggled desperately.

In a pile of transparent jars nearby, Lily's subordinates were anxiously banging against the walls of the jars, but even though their heads were broken and bleeding, the hard jars remained motionless.

Lily was forced to lie in a spread-eagle position on a small platform. Mih, wearing a blue mask on his face, slowly approached her with a bunch of wriggling black leeches in his hand.

Lily's chest rose and fell rapidly, and tears fell from her eyes. "I... I don't want to die, I want to go home..."

Just as the thing was getting closer and closer to Lily's chest, the door next to her was suddenly slammed open, and Charles rushed in with a large group of people.

The harpoon was activated instantly, piercing directly through the head of the white-robed Mih and pulling him to the ground.

Charles carefully lowered his gunner down from the stand. "Lily, how are you, are you okay?"

Lily didn't say anything, she just held Charles' fingers and cried loudly. She was terrified.

While comforting his gunner with his hands, Charles looked around.

This place looks like a place used to imprison animals, with all kinds of mice, small lizards and even bats all kept in glass bottles.

"Put them all away."

The crowd started beating on the glass jars, and all the animals were released.

With the addition of Lily's mice, Charles' team grew a lot, but this was not enough, Charles needed more allies.

Just as Charles walked out and was about to go to the next detention center, Lily sniffed, jumped onto Charles' shoulder, and said in a crying voice, "Mr. Charles, everyone's stuff is in the room next to this one.

Charles was suddenly delighted. He held the mouse in his hands, gave it a big kiss, and quickly rushed towards the room.

When Charles reappeared in the corridor shining with red light, all their relics and clothes had been returned, and everyone had a hint of excitement on their face.

After getting their weapons back, everyone's strength suddenly increased greatly. The sporadic resistance of Mih was no match for them. Charles cleared them one by one along the detention points.

If there are monsters, just let them go. If there are humans, just give them the captured MiH weapons and let them join in.

When Charles and others broke through the last detention point, the spacious corridor had begun to become a little crowded.

Except for two sailors and a cook, all other members of the Narwhal were found, and the other humans were all strangers.

"Captain! Shall we just rush out next?"

"Sir, you saved us. What should we do next? We will listen to you."

"Can we go home later? My ship sank, how can I get back?"

Everyone was looking excitedly at the savior in front of them, but no one could understand how much pressure Charles was under at the moment.

Charles's face was not looking good. All the imprisoned monsters had been released, and all the humans who could communicate with people had joined his team.

But there are only two hundred people at most. Even if you add in the trouble caused by those who release monsters, they are still not enough compared with the tens of thousands of Mihe outside.

"Man, even with all of Mih's experimental subjects gathered, there are only this many. No wonder Salin's rebellion failed before."

"Bang bang bang!!" Gunshots were suddenly heard outside the door, and the Mihs had already started to act.

Charles looked up and said to the first mate next to him: "Bandage, take the men out for a while."

Bandage said nothing, just nodded and walked out.

Time passed by minute by minute, and just as the gunfire outside became more and more frequent, Charles swept his gaze across the area and his eyes suddenly lit up.

He pointed at the eastern corner of the map and said, "Richard, does this look familiar to you?"

"It's already this late, stop keeping us in suspense and just tell us now."

"Have you forgotten? This is where the Third Laboratory holds the living relics. If the Third Laboratory has this place, then the Second Laboratory must also have it, right? Our allies are not limited to these people, the living relics inside are also our allies!"

Richard's voice also became excited. "If all the monsters inside are released, the entire Second Laboratory will be doomed!"

"That's it!" Charles drew a circle around the area, stood up and walked out in full view of everyone.

Charles quickly took the lead in clearing out the Mihs who came to block them, and led everyone to continue heading towards the living remains collection point.

The journey was not safe. More and more Mihes began to swarm in, and each time they became stronger.

The various relics with special abilities in their hands made it hard for everyone to defend themselves. Casualties had already begun to appear in the crowd.

"Puff" Charles, covered in blood, raised the black blade in his hand and stabbed it into the neck of a Heimihe.

The long battle made him feel a little exhausted, but when he saw the familiar heavy steel gate, he knew he had arrived.

"Captain, I have some explosives here." Dipper, with a mask on his face, rushed forward with the explosives in his hand.

A female believer of the Church of Light nearby reached out to stop her. She held onto the wall with her hands and began to vomit violently towards the steel gate. It was not ordinary vomiting, but jet-like vomiting.

The dark green liquid that spurted out of her mouth began to make a crackling corrosion sound and emit a pungent smell as soon as it came into contact with the steel.

The corrosive liquid soon corroded a hole in the steel door. The female believer of the Church of Light walked in first.

This kind of steel door is very easy to open from the inside. Charles ordered the crew to open all the heavy steel doors because he knew what he would do next.

Charles didn't let everyone in, and asked the others to wait in the nearest room.

Once the things in here come out, there is a high probability that they will not be able to distinguish between friend and foe. He doesn't want to let the two sides fight.

First, Charles came to the first door. Just as he was about to open it, Dipper rushed over first.

After he placed the bomb on the door frame and stuck it in place, he quickly retreated.

"Boom!!" There was an earth-shaking explosion, and a monster-like roar came from behind the door.

A long green monster with long thin arms crawled out from the smoke of the explosion.

The green monster stared at Charles in the distance for a few seconds, then quickly crawled out hanging upside down along the ceiling.
