Looking at the old man packing, an absurd idea came into his mind.
"The death of a god gave birth to other creatures and other gods? Why does it feel like this god's setting is a bit copied from Pangu?"
Charles thought for a moment and then asked the old man again, "So what is the name of your god now?"
"Piper." Another unfamiliar name.
“Is there a statue of it here?”
Following the old man's finger, Charles saw a hideous worm twisted into a pretzel shape. Its horrible and hateful appearance was not surprising, but there was one thing that surprised Charles very much.
The statue is divided into two colors, half black and half transparent, a bit like a mixture of glass and obsidian.
When Charles asked the old man this question, the old man gave his explanation. "The body of the god Piper is very special. He cannot exist completely in this world. When he is not around, he needs the help of other gods."
"Haha, it's actually a multi-god system."
Charles was a little confused now, but he didn't want to ask anymore. The religion of the Heike people was weird, but he probably wouldn't have anything to do with these giants anymore.
"You are from outside the Sea of Mist. You don't need to know our God. Last time, a group of guys secretly went to the depths of the Sea of Mist, and were finally left there forever by the God."
As the old man continued to speak, the red coral statue had been packed in a wooden box. Just as he turned around to ask the customer for money, he found that the man behind him had disappeared.
After a few seconds, several curses full of the characteristics of the Haik tribe were heard in the store.
Charles slowly walked towards the hotel. He had a great time today.
As for the statue, he would not buy it. As I said before, buying the statue carelessly could easily bring trouble, so he would not make such a stupid mistake.
Lily looked very excited. It seemed that she hadn't been so happy in a long time. The little mouse ran in front with her mouse friends, controlling the mobile phone to take pictures around them.
"It's been three years. Lily should be fifteen now, right? How come she's still as playful as a child?" Charles looked at the gunner who was shouting in the distance with a smile on his face.
Just as the two of them were walking back to the inn, Lily ran back with a horrified expression. "Mr. Charles, look, there are so many people outside our inn."
Charles frowned slightly, and he also saw several people in black uniforms standing at the door.
Seeing the awe and envy that the other Heiks around him cast at those people, Charles judged that these people had a very high status on Broken Heart Island.
"What's going on? The crew members who went to the brothel got into trouble?"
But they never expected that after they confirmed Charles' identity, they directly handed over the gold-stamped invitation weighing half a pound with both hands.
"Captain Charles, to thank you for your help to our people, His Majesty Caesar invites you to attend tomorrow's breakfast."
They are not here to cause trouble, they are here to deliver invitations.
Charles was slightly surprised. He never expected that in such a place, doing good deeds would be rewarded.
He didn't want to refuse the invitation outright, but then he thought again. The Haik tribe are natives of the Sea of Mist. Maybe they know something about the Deep Divers. "I accept the invitation."
"Okay, I'll send a carriage to pick you up tomorrow morning."
The giant bowed slightly to Charles and strode away.
The next morning, Charles opened his eyes on time, put on his old captain's uniform and went to the banquet.
As soon as he got out of the door, Charles felt his pocket, reached in, and took out Lily. "What are you doing here?"
Seeing her pitiful appearance, Charles put her back in, and suddenly he heard the cheering sound of the mouse in his pocket.
As soon as he went out, Charles saw a carriage waiting at the door.
The horses that pulled the carts of the Heike tribe were extremely tall and strong, and Charles really had no idea how they bred these species.
Charles originally thought that the horses would pull him to the center of the island, but he didn't expect them to pull him directly towards the dock.
The carriage rumbled directly into the water and instantly turned from a carriage into a small boat.
Sitting in the spacious workshop and looking at the waterline not far outside the window, Charles inexplicably felt like he was on a cruise ship.
The palace of Broken Heart Island was not far away. After the carriage passed several small islands, it landed on a magnificent island.
There was more than one carriage on the island, and other carriages were heading this way in the water.
Walking up along the green carpet, Charles saw servants preparing the banquet. The guests had already taken their seats. He unexpectedly saw Ajino in the crowd.
The guy who was dying of thirst in the past was now wearing a blue robe. If it weren't for Charles's extraordinary observation skills, no one would have recognized him.
Aginor also saw Charles and pointed to the seat next to him.
"I thought you wouldn't come, but I didn't expect you to come." After getting out of the predicament, Ajino's tone of voice was obviously different.
"It's just a party. What should I be afraid of?" Charles answered calmly.
"Although Charles hesitated during the long journey, you did help us. His Majesty the King has prepared a gift for you."
"Thank you. I'm looking forward to it."
As the guests took their seats one after another, the King of Broken Heart Island took his seat. Judging from his appearance, he was no different from an ordinary Hik, with the same straight eyebrows and slightly protruding chin.
As the king gave his toast, Charles realized that today was not prepared specifically for him. Today was the anniversary of the death of the god Pad, and he was just here by chance.
Taking advantage of the king's speech, Charles looked at the guests. The various colors and styles of clothes worn by the Haik people seemed to represent a certain status, but he couldn't see it now.
However, there were a few guests at the seats who looked very familiar. It was not their faces that were familiar, but their clothes that were very familiar.
The white robe and the tricorn hat on the head were the same attire worn by the giants who had rescued Anna.
"Who are those people?" Charles asked Ajino softly.
"The servants of God who came to the temple, met God and were granted miraculous powers by God."
"Meeting God?! Aren't they afraid of going crazy?" Charles' eyes were full of disbelief.
"Why would you go crazy? As long as you get the oracle, anyone can be summoned by God."
"That wouldn't be--" Charles suddenly stopped talking in the middle of his words. He realized that he seemed to have made some mistake. Perhaps Governor Heike's god was not the same as God Futan.
“How high is your God?”
"About seven meters. I was lucky enough to see it from a distance."
