Shrouded Seascape

Chapter 25: The mouse goes home

"Hmm..." Charles frowned as he looked at the relic in his hand.

This kind of relic is to exchange intelligence for size, it is hard to say whether it is good or bad. If you don't even have basic cognition, then no matter how strong you are, it will be useless.

Moreover, after his body becomes bigger, he will not be able to use his three relics, and due to the balance between them, his strength may even decrease.

Charles quickly thought of the greatest use of this relic, "Although I can't use it, I can give it to my crew members."

The next adventure will only become more and more dangerous, and it cannot be accomplished by one person alone.

The strength of the crew on the Narwhal must also be improved in all aspects so as not to fall behind.

Charles thought of the strong tendon on someone's body and immediately found a new owner for the relic.

Regardless of the slight pain in his body, Charles lifted the quilt and walked out with the relics.

Thirty minutes later, Charles stood on the deck and shouted to the four-meter-tall chief engineer: "James, put the relics on the ground! On the ground!"

The other crew members who had nothing to do gathered outside and watched the excitement with great interest.

The enlarged James sat down on the deck, and the entire Narwhal began to shake. After three full seconds, he stiffly let go of 434 and let it fall onto the deck.

"The decrease in intelligence is greater than I thought." Charles said to himself as he looked at the purple pyramid in his hand.

After testing, it was found that the physical growth made the physical strength become extremely strong, but the weakening of intelligence was very fatal. There must be someone to give orders at all times, otherwise the demented James would just stand there and play with his fingers.

"Captain, can I play with this thing?" Dipper, with a curious look on his face, came over with a group of sailors.

Charles thought for a moment and threw 434 over. "You all try it and see who is more suitable for this thing."

For a moment, the crew on the deck were cheering and laughing, and Charles did not stop them as they laughed and treated 434 as a toy.

People are not machines, and there are not many opportunities to relax like this on Earth Sea.

After giving a few instructions, Charles walked towards his bedroom. The wounds on his body began to hurt again.

Time passed quickly at sea, and the corrosive wounds on Charles' body healed quickly. The occasional minor accidents on the way were also perfectly solved by the crew. He, who always did things by himself, finally enjoyed the privileges of a captain.

When they saw the lighthouse on the coral island, the entire Narwhal was almost overturned by the crew's cheers. They were back alive again.

As soon as the ship docked, everyone received their rewards from Charles and rushed out like the wind to vent their depression.

Charles took the remaining two relics and planned to go to the Explorers Association. He didn't know the use or harm of these two things, and he wanted to see if other captains had any clues.

Just as he was about to get off the boat, Charles saw Lily standing on the dock, surrounded by brown rats.

Charles walked over and found that she, with drooping ears, had not left.

"Why didn't you leave?"

Charles' question startled Lily, and she turned around in panic. "Mr. Charles."

"What are you standing here for? Why don't you go home? Don't you always want to go home?" Charles grabbed its tail and lifted it up.

"But if I turn into a mouse, will my mother recognize me? Will she drive me out with a broom?" Lily asked pitifully.

Charles understood. After all, he is still a child. It is normal for him to be afraid after such a huge change in his body.

"Really?" Lily's ears perked up.

"Really, really." Charles looked at the mouse in front of him and inexplicably thought of his sister.

Lily shook her body excitedly. "Mr. Charles, you are right. My mother will never forget me. I have been away for so long. She must miss me a lot."

Charles put her down and was about to walk out, but unexpectedly Lily held his finger and said, "Mr. Charles, can you take me home?"

Charles was about to refuse when he saw a pitiful look on the little mouse's face.

Charles sighed slightly. "Okay, I'll take you back."

For some unknown reason, the little girl turned into a mouse, and no one knows whether she can turn back into a mouse in the future. She is a poor person, so we should help her if we can.

Soon, a strange scene appeared at Pier 3 of Coral Island. A man with black pupils was parading through the streets with a large group of rats.

After Charles paid four times the fare and promised that the rats would not chew the seat cushions, a steam car driver was finally willing to take them.

Lily's home is nearly an hour's drive from the port. The closer the distance, the more excited Lily becomes.

She should be very happy now, right? Will I have such a day in the future? Charles looked at the white mouse spinning on his thigh with a hint of envy in his eyes.

"Sir, we're here. Turn left and you'll find Dr. Oliver's house. He has a lovely little girl. You'd better not take these mice over there. They'll be scared."

Lily, who couldn't wait any longer, jumped out of the car without waiting for it to stop, and rushed towards the corner at full speed with the mice.

When Lily rushed to the corner, her petite body froze instantly as if she had been electrocuted.

"Huh?" Charles, sensing something was wrong, walked over.

On the upper left side of the corner is an elegant two-story villa. In the yard in front of the villa, a gentle mother is drinking tea and chatting with her daughter.

Although the daughter looks only about eleven or twelve years old and somewhat resembles Hermione in the first season of Harry Potter, the cleverness between her eyebrows indicates that she will be a more charming beauty than her mother in the future.

"Lily, do you have a younger sister or elder sister at home?" Charles asked hesitantly. The mother in the distance did not seem to be feeling the pain of losing her daughter.

Charles' words awakened the frozen Lily, and she collapsed and screamed loudly.

"Ahh!! That Lily is fake, I am my mother's daughter! She must be the witch in the story! She turned me into a mouse and took away my mother's love. I will bite her to death!!"

After Lily finished speaking, she led the mice, which had already begun to show their fangs and claws, and rushed towards the distance.

Charles raised his left hand with the ring on it and held Lily in the air. "Calm down!"

Seeing the white mouse trapped, the mice quickly turned around, showing their sharp teeth and fierce eyes at Charles.

Just as Charles' other hand touched the clown mask, Lily stopped the mouse's attack and floated in the air, crying loudly.

“Wow, Mr. Charles, I can’t go home, my mother doesn’t want me… What should I do??”
