Shrouded Seascape

Chapter 35: The whole island

Views:

Soon, on the street at the dock, all the islanders saw an extremely shocking scene.

A nearly 4-meter-tall giant dragged a vampire corpse wrapped in a pink curtain through the streets, and the dark red blood soaked the stone slabs on the ground, leaving behind a shocking "red carpet".

The islanders on the street made way for him and stood by with panic on their faces.

Some people in the crowd saw this scene and turned away.

Looking at the appearance of those people, Charles smiled coldly. Those guys should be vampire spies.

This is exactly the kind of deterrent he wants. No matter how powerful vampires are, compared to the horror of Earthsea, these guys are nothing but child's play.

The red carpet stretched from the brothel to the police booth at the dock.

"Hey, you guys don't manage this island very well. So many things have infiltrated, but you didn't even notice. How do you do it?" Charles, wearing a mask, scolded with the look of a superior.

The two policemen on duty looked at the messy corpse on the ground, sweat dripping down their faces.

"Are you hot?" Charles, wearing a mask, came close to them.

"No... No!" A fat policeman shrank back subconsciously.

"I have solved the problem for you. Do you think you can show some appreciation? I think there are still vampires hiding at the dock. Find them out as I still have a few crew members to find."

Looking at the pile of corpses at the gate, the two men dared not say anything else and promised to notify their superiors immediately.

As soon as Charles left, the fat policeman hurriedly said to his companion: "Quick! Go and inform the chief that the new guys killed Durand!!"

"Captain, will those black dogs help us find other people?" asked Knona, covering his wrist.

Charles replied: "If I were the ruler of this island, I would never allow aliens to wantonly suck blood from people on my territory."

Charles took off his mask and looked a little heavy. "That's not the point. Judging from the vampires' brazen behavior, this island is not peaceful. We need to leave as soon as possible. Let's go to the shipyard now."

"Sir, why are you here? Didn't I tell you it would take a month?" In the noisy shipyard, the factory director holding the blueprints hurriedly came forward.

"Can you go faster? Echo coins are not a problem."

Charles didn't want to cause any trouble. All he wanted now was for the turbine to return to the coral island. Once it was back on his own territory, he could replace the turbine with a new one with peace of mind.

Hearing Charles' words, the man looked embarrassed, "This is really too difficult for me..."

He had just said half of his words when a worker came over and whispered something in his ear.

The factory manager's face suddenly changed, and he looked at Charles with fear. "Sir! In three days at most, I will replace the turbine with the best one we have. Just three days."

Although he didn't know what the guy said, Charles clearly felt the change in his attitude.

Having achieved his goal, Charles was too lazy to say anything more. After giving a few simple instructions, he walked out.

"Everything is ready. Once the turbine is ready, we will set off immediately."

"What about Jack and the others?" Dipper asked about the other missing crew members.

"I can't worry about that. If the boat is repaired and they haven't been found by the police, then they are probably in danger."

While Charles was talking to the crew, Lily, who was standing on his shoulder, said in surprise: "Mr. Charles, look over there, that's the painter!"

He stumbled towards this side, sniffing something as he walked.

Charles instinctively felt that this guy was looking for him.

"What's the matter?" Charles asked, walking up to him.

Charles's question startled him, and then a hint of joy appeared on his horrified face.

"Sir, I finally found you. Actually, I wanted to tell you what I was saying when I was in Helen Square, but there were too many people there, so I—"

"Tell me what you want to say." Charles interrupted him.

The blind man shrank his neck and lowered his voice and said, "Sir, I have important news that concerns your life safety. I want to use this news to exchange for my ability to take your ship and leave this damn place. I really can't stay here any longer. Everyone bullies me."

Although he didn't know what this guy was doing, Charles certainly agreed to such an unequal deal. It just so happened that he needed more information from the locals. "Tell me about it."

"I know you are quite powerful, but please leave here quickly. The police have reported your killing of Durand, and they have sent two dukes to deal with the problem. If you wait for them to arrive, you will never be able to leave!"

"Duke? What are you talking about?" Charles frowned.

The blind man gestured with his hands excitedly. "Not only the guys you killed are vampires!! In fact, all the islanders are vampires. This is the base camp of vampires! Black Crystal Island!!"

This news shocked everyone on the Narwhal. Everyone's face was filled with shock. They opened their eyes wide and looked at the islanders around them.

"all?"

"Yes, everyone, including me."

After the blind man finished speaking, he opened his mouth wide, and the sharp blood-sucking fangs inside reflected cold light.

Charles's face suddenly became extremely ugly. If there were only some vampires, there would be nothing scary about them, but the whole island was full of them, so they were undoubtedly meat on the chopping board.

He originally thought that he had finally escaped, but he never expected that he had entered a wolf's den.

"If they are all in the same group, then just now..."

Charles' face changed as he thought of something, and he hurried back to the shipyard with the other crew members.

As soon as he came in, he bumped into the factory director.

"Didn't you say you would repair my ship urgently? How come you still have time to go out?" Every crew member had a unfriendly look on their face.

"Um... I... I..."

Charles was too lazy to explain to him and directly ordered the crew to seal all the entrances and gather everyone in the factory together.

Looking at the uncertain factory director in front of him, Charles said to him: "Don't pretend. That guy has already told us that you are actually in the same group with those guys outside, right? I'm sure you didn't even touch my boat when it was placed here."

"Traitor!" The furious factory director revealed his true form and pounced on the blind man, but a black knife with blood still stained on it was lying in front of him.
