Shrouded Seascape

Chapter 39: The addition of vampires

Views:

It was a month later when the Narwhal returned to the Coral Island.

After getting new clues on the ground, Charles couldn't wait to go to the chaotic city of Sodom, but the crew couldn't hold on any longer.

Giant butterflies, gods, vampires, everyone's face was filled with fatigue after experiencing this journey.

Charles did not make things difficult for them. He knew that no one was an iron man. The crew needed rest, and so did the Narwhal.

The makeshift turbines were overwhelmed, and coupled with the damage to the hull from the sonic waves, the Narwhal needed a complete overhaul.

Charles, who was standing on the boat, touched the edge of the boat distressedly and whispered, "Thank you for your hard work, comrade."

"Mr. Charles, your voyage doesn't seem to be going well. Did you encounter any danger? Why is there so much damage?"

The speaker was Wood, who had sold the ship to Charles.

At this moment, Wood was surprised. He didn't expect that he would see this ship one day. He thought that the ship had sunk to the bottom of the sea long ago.

He suddenly had a hunch that the young man in front of him might really have a chance to become the governor of the island.

"How much is the total?" Charles didn't have time to chat with others.

Wood quickly handed over the bill. "Replacing the turbine and re-armoring the deck. The total cost of the repairs is 1.21 million."

Signing his name on the bill, Charles estimated in his mind how much money he had left.

After deducting the repair costs and the crew's salaries from the previous 1.6 million, only 150,000 is left.

It seems like a lot, but for the funds of an exploration ship, this is a dangerous number. If there is no income from the next route, the entire Narwhal will not be able to operate.

He planned to go to Sodom on his next voyage, which was destined to be unpaid, which made him very embarrassed.

Charles walked out of the shipyard while thinking.

As soon as he came out, he saw Audrick wearing sunglasses standing by the road, seemingly waiting for him. "What are you doing here?"

"Mr. Charles, are you still short of people on your ship? Please let me become your crew member." Audric lowered his head in the direction of the footsteps in front of him with some excitement.

"Sorry, my crew is full." Charles refused decisively, passed him and walked towards the dock in the distance.

It's not that we discriminate against him because he is a vampire, but no ship would want a blind man. What can a blind man who can draw do on a ship? Paint portraits for the crew members

Before he could take a few steps, the anxious Odrick groped up and rushed over. "Captain Charles, I am not a burden. I have been promoted and I have new abilities."

The black cloak covered the blind vampire and kept squirming. After just two seconds, a black bat flew up and down over Charles.

"Captain Charles, I am already a baron. I have the ability to transform. When I turn into a bat, I can see things without using my eyes."

Charles shook his head as he looked at the bat that was only half the size of his arm. He flipped his right hand and a revolver instantly appeared in his hand.

With a "pop", the bat fell to the ground and turned back into a blind vampire. He covered his injured left shoulder with his hand and looked painful.

"If you want to survive, you should just be your painter."

Listening to the footsteps gradually fading away, Odric hesitated for two seconds, and suddenly shouted loudly: "Captain! Aren't you going to Sodom to find sunshine? I was there 40 years ago, I can lead the way!!"

"I don't need your help. I have a way."

Audric showed anxiety on his face, and hurriedly said again: "Mr. Charles! I can be a powerful fighter for you. Although I am blind, I am a vampire after all. My fighting power is only higher than that of your crew members!!"

After a long time, Charles' voice sounded in his ears, "Aren't you afraid of the sun? Why are you following me?"

Looking at the vampire in front of him, Charles had a strange expression on his face. This was the first time he had seen a vampire in such a miserable state.

"Captain Charles? Are you still there?"

"You are one of the sailors of the Narwhal."

"Thank you, Captain!!"

Traveling through the eighth year on August 3

Three days ago, my crew and I arrived safely at Coral Island.

The blind vampire joined my team. His character is a bit cowardly, which I am not very satisfied with. However, it should not be a problem for him to be a sailor. His ability to transform into a bat can be used as a lookout at a critical moment.

Vampires have powerful healing abilities. The previous batch of sailors all died, and I need to find some that are less likely to die.

Next, I plan to go to Sodom and look for the kind of sunlight that can be put into a box. If that is really sunlight, then there must be a way to the surface.

"Click." The door was pushed open.

Charles, who was writing in his diary, turned his head and saw Lily, with droopy ears, walking in with the mice.

"Where have you been?" Charles asked.

Frustrated, Lily crawled along the bed sheet to the pillow, and leaned over it with despair. "I won't tell you..."

Charles shook his head, closed the diary, and stood up. "I'm going to go out for a while and take good care of the house."

The mouse's head, buried in the soft pillow, stood up. "Mr. Charles, where are you going?"

"Today is Saturday. All captains should gather at the Explorers Association. I'll go see if there's any news."

"That sounds like fun! Take me with you to play!"

"Take good care of the house." Charles pushed the door and walked out indifferently.

Seeing the door being ruthlessly closed, Lily pounded her pillow angrily. "Mr. Charles, how annoying!"

After hitting him hard a few times, she fell onto the pillow. "Humph, if you don't want to take me with you, go to bed. I'll annoy you to death when you go to bed at night."

Time passed little by little, and the dazed Lily was startled by a knock on the door.

Seeing the door banging, Lily panicked. "Who? Who is it? There's no one inside!"

With a "click", the door lock was twisted off, and a hideous and terrifying tentacle monster appeared at the door.

Lily screamed in fear at the sight of the twisted tentacles and the huge, angry eyes. The brown rats immediately surrounded her, baring their fangs at the intruder.

The ferocious tentacle monster saw the screaming mouse, and its body quickly changed. A sexy adult woman appeared in the room.

Lily stared at the beauty in front of her with wide eyes. She knew that woman. She was the woman drawn by the blind painter.

"It turned out to be a mouse. I got scared. I just heard a woman's voice. I thought Gao Zhiming was cheating on me."
