"Can anyone tell me what is going on?" Charles, dressed in a black suit, clapped his hands and asked his companions in confusion.
He was now in the spacious backyard of the Dipper's home. The red and white flowers all around decorated the backyard very beautifully, especially the huge flower gate behind the newlyweds.
If it weren’t for Bandage’s help, there might not be so many flowers in the entire Hope Island.
That's right, he was attending a wedding, Boatswain Dipper's wedding.
The other crew members sitting next to him also had bewildered expressions on their faces. They stared blankly at Dipper and Alia kissing each other under the flower gate.
"If I remember correctly, this morning Dipper asked us how to deal with relationship issues. How come they got married in the evening? Isn't that too fast? What on earth did he do?" Feuerbach murmured.
"I knew there was something wrong between the two of them and I got it right. I asked that kid Dipper before, but he refused to admit it." James said firmly.
In her white wedding dress, Alia looks particularly beautiful today.
Although today is her wedding, shyness seems to have never appeared in her. She grinned and laughed extremely wildly, and it can be seen that she is very happy today.
"Oh~ I'm so envious, dear. It seems like there is something missing between us, don't you think?" Elizabeth's voice faintly reached Charles' ears.
She was wearing a low-cut red dress today, with big wavy white hair that fell charmingly over her snow-white cleavage, making her stand out among the guests.
"Do you still care about this ceremony? Have you ever held a wedding ceremony with your wives?"
As soon as Charles finished speaking, the sharp tip of the red high-heeled shoe kicked towards his calf, but was quickly dodged.
"Stop messing around, Dipper and the others are coming." Charles raised the wine glass in his hand and raised it to the oncoming couple.
Elizabeth gently put her arm around Charles' shoulders, smiling as she followed his lead and did the same thing.
"Captain, I seem to be married. Am I dreaming?" Dipper's expression was excited but a little confused, and he seemed to have not recovered yet.
Looking at the fishman in front of him, Charles' expression was very complicated. He still remembered the dirty and skinny little guy when he picked him up on the street.
At the time, I never thought that I would actually attend the other person's wedding one day.
But no matter what, the crew of the Narwhal are getting married, and as the captain, I still have to say some polite words.
"Congratulations on finding your only soul mate in this life. May you two love each other in the future. Finally, I hope marriage can make you more stable." Charles raised the glass in his hand and took a sip.
"Thank you for your blessing, Governor," Alia bent down gracefully, holding up her white wedding dress.
The bride looked at the groom with a hint of excitement on her face, and then said to Charles: "I heard that the Governor regards Dipper as his confidant. Since today is his wedding, can we choose the wedding gift ourselves?"
Charles was slightly stunned. He didn't expect the other party to ask such a question, but it was true. Today's matter was too rushed and there was no time to prepare a gift. "So what do you want as a wedding gift?"
"Dipper was once the director, but since he came back, James has not given him the position back. How about... letting him be the director again?"
Charles did not agree to this question immediately. "Don't worry, Dipper was one of the crew members who explored the island with me. I won't treat him unfairly."
Arya had no intention of backing off. She looked at Charles calmly and said, "But I am his wife now. I think this is unfair to my husband. Since he has experienced all kinds of life-threatening dangers with you, I hope that the power circle on the island should not exclude him, even if he is a fishman."
Charles looked at the woman in front of him and smiled at Dipper. "Boy, it seems you really found a good wife. Okay, you two get married, and I should give you a wedding gift."
"Director, you definitely can't go back. That important position can't be easily transferred. How about this, the Relics Research Institute is still short of a deputy director, you can go over there and try."
Charles certainly didn't want the semi-literate Dipper to do the research.
With the massive transfer of resources from the entire Hope Island, it can be speculated that the place will soon become a behemoth. With Dipper and Linda watching over it, he feels more at ease and does not have to worry about the place growing into a blood-sucking tumor on Hope Island.
Hearing this, Alia was happy. She certainly knew the importance of the Relic Research Institute to Hope Island. Since Charles placed Dipper there, it showed that he valued him absolutely.
The wedding reception began. The dinner was a buffet. The men and women quickly divided into several groups, chatting while eating. Most of them were teasing Dipper and his new wife in a good-natured way.
The marriage party was small, consisting basically of only some of the crew members from the Narwhal, which is why the wedding was able to go off so quickly.
Charles was in a good mood, although he didn't quite understand why Dipper suddenly wanted to get married, and he seriously doubted how long such a hasty wedding could last.
But no matter what, even a bad wedding is better than a funeral. This is a good thing, and the more good things there are, the better.
The banquet passed slowly in a warm atmosphere. Just as Charles and Elizabeth were tasting the salt-baked crab meat, he suddenly noticed a hint of disharmony in the dinner.
A bald man in a yellow robe was walking towards him. Charles knew him. He was one of the twelve bald men who had come out to explore with the Pope.
"Governor, the Pope has returned and asked me to invite you over." Wright said to Charles respectfully.
"The Pope is back, doesn't that mean the door is open!?" Charles' heartbeat quickened.
Wright's arrival also attracted the attention of other crew members, and their eyes were obviously cast over.
"It's okay, you guys continue eating, I'll be back soon." Charles wiped his mouth with the napkin, then raised his foot and followed the bald man out quickly.
As the car belching black smoke quickly rushed towards the dock, Charles soon saw a large number of floating airships outside the shed and the golden fleet on the sea.
At this time, the workers at the dock began to work again, sweating profusely as they began to move supplies.
