Shrouded Seascape

Chapter 430: Twinkle

Hearing Linda's words, Charles nodded and said nothing more. It would be useless to say anything now, so he could only wait.

In this dark and depressing sea, he could do nothing, not even praying to God.

If the other party does not respond and is just seeking psychological comfort, then it is fine. But if they really respond, then it will be a big trouble.

Just then, Chef Plan brought a tray full of food to Charles.

Charles stuffed the bread into the fish soup and asked as he ate: "Who else is there in Feuerbach's family besides his three wives?"

Linda looked at her captain in surprise, "Three wives? He doesn't have that many wives."

Charles was chewing and was stunned for a moment. Then he immediately realized that what happened before was just a different perspective. "I remembered it wrongly. Do you know anything about Feuerbach's family?"

"Ferba has a child, I don't know who he was born to, but he's a little stupid."

"He is not a good father. When he pays attention, he gives me a lot of pocket money. When he doesn't pay attention, he doesn't come home for ten days or half a month."

"He is a regular at the brothel in Hope Island. He goes there every day and orders a different one every time."

"How do you know him so well?" Charles was a little surprised.

"During the three years you were away, I spent some time with him, but we eventually found that our personalities were not compatible, so we separated."

Charles nodded in understanding and swallowed the food in his mouth.

He actually knew very little about the second mate. He only knew that before occupying Hope Island, Feuerbach was an explorer with an exploration ship called the Wave Razor and the ability to communicate with the group of red sharks.

As for other places, what he had done before and what he had encountered, he did not say, nor did he ask.

Maybe he had ulterior motives at the beginning, but now that he was dying, Charles suddenly felt a strong sense of reluctance in his heart.

While he was thinking, he ate the food on the plate without noticing.

Charles coughed and stood up and said to the ship's doctor: "If there is anything abnormal with Feuerbach, tell me immediately."

"Yeah." Linda continued eating her food

Charles walked out of the mess hall and headed towards his captain's cabin.

As soon as he opened the door, he saw a pair of green eyes in the darkness, which made him instantly pull out his revolver and point it over.

But Charles soon discovered that the person in green was none other than his own daughter, Shanshan, who was holding her diary in her hands and flipping through the pages one by one.

"Shanshan, why are you here? Did your mother ask you to bring something?" Charles put away his gun, walked over and asked.

"I want a banana." Shanshan said to his father.

"What? Banana?" Charles was still a little shocked.

"I went to my friend's house and my mother asked me to bring a gift. My friend likes bananas, so my mother said you have bananas here, so I want to give them to her."

Charles smiled, he put his hands under Sparkle's arms and held the little girl in his arms.

Although the cute little face in front of him was fake, Charles felt particularly close to her as if his blood was flowing in her.

To be honest, this was the first time I was alone with Shanshan without Anna.

Normally, Charles should have found a topic to bring him closer to his daughter, but he found himself stuck. He had no experience in this area and didn't know what to say.

"Um... um... is mom okay?"

"No, she went home and was very angry and threw things around. She also said a lot of things I didn't understand."

"She was asking why she worked so hard to become stronger, but was still so weak, with no chance of fighting back."

Charles thought to himself, "Is Anna feeling aggrieved that she can't fight back against the 'blackboard eraser'? She still has such a strong personality."

Twinkle didn't care what her father was thinking. She was only thinking about her own affairs. "When will you give me a banana?"

"Shanshan, I don't have any bananas here. Let me write you a note and you can go to Hope Island to find James. He will give it to you. You know James, right? He's the big guy."

Charles put Shanshan down, quickly opened the diary, wrote a line, and then tore it up.

After Shanshan took it, she disappeared in front of Charles in an instant without even saying hello.

Looking at the empty captain's room, Charles smiled helplessly, "It seems that to Shanshan, that friend is more important than me, his father."

He walked to the desk and began to write in the voyage log.

On the sunny Hope Island, James in the office widened his eyes and pointed a gun at the little girl in front of him.

He couldn't help but react violently. The sudden appearance of this child in his office would have caused the same reaction to everyone.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" James quietly pressed a red button on the back of the table.

"My father asked me to come." Shanshan handed over the paper in his hand.

As a companion who had been together day and night, James was of course familiar with the captain's notes, but the request on it surprised him greatly. "Banana?"

"Well, bananas. My friend likes to eat bananas." Shanshan nodded vigorously.

"Who are you, Captain?"

"I don't know any captain, but daddy said you have bananas here."

James gave a look to the policemen approaching the door, asking them not to come in for the time being.

Then he took out his wallet and pulled out a worn black-and-white photo of the crew of the old Rat. He pointed at Charles, who looked much younger than he actually was. "Do you know this guy?"

"He's my dad."

James gasped. "Is it really the captain's child?"

He couldn't help but think of what happened before, the monster woman named Anna, and the legend that had been circulating among the maids in the Governor's Mansion, that the Governor had a monster daughter.

"When can you give me a banana?" Shanshan's voice began to sound a little impatient.

"Let's go to the banana forest." James pushed the stool away and walked outside with Shanshan.

Although he had many questions in his mind, he decided that it would be better to wait for the captain to ask. The most important thing now was to send this little girl with special abilities away. Fortunately, the other party's requirements were not high.

Under the "protection" of a group of fully armed sheriffs, they came to the lush green banana grove.

"This field has a total of twenty acres, all covered with banana trees. How much do you want?" James, wearing a big hat, introduced to the side.

Bunches of green and yellow bananas were so heavy that they almost hung to the ground.

Shanshan rushed into the sunlight, holding a bunch of bananas, and disappeared in front of everyone in a flash.

"She's going to hang up?"
