"Hey, hey, hey, hurry up! Are you going to sell it or not? The captain is about to set sail again. I don't have time to talk nonsense with you. Just tell me how much you want."
Dipper sat on the sofa of the Explorers Association and asked irritably
"I said, I only exchange and don't sell. What's the use of having a lot of money in this place? I only exchange relics that can improve me." The bearded man in front of Dipper crossed his arms and looked completely unconcerned.
On the table in front of them was a wild animal skull covered with a layer of skin. The color of the bones was a strange red.
Dipper thought about it with a frown, and finally gritted his teeth, took out a row of long black needles from his arms, and slapped them on the table.
"This is what we found on the surface before. It is extremely sharp and can cut through anything easily. Apart from tripling the pain in your body, there are no unnecessary side effects. It is worth it to exchange it for your relic."
The man shook his head after hearing this, and the skull tattoo on his face opened and closed as he spoke.
"No, your relic is too weak, it can't compare at all, and it's not the type I want."
Where there is demand, there is a market. Here, the explorers of the Giant Pit Fortress have spontaneously formed a small market to exchange information, select new crew members, and sell relics.
Most of the relics were collected by the Explorers Association. They really did what they said in order to support exploration.
"Hey, I'm a crew member of Governor Charles, can't you sell it to me?" Dipper seemed to be very envious of the other party's relic.
"Humph, what's so great about Charles? Do you think everyone would lick your governor's ass for a few islands? If I didn't want to save my own life, would I come here to fight for my life?"
"Fuck! If you have the guts, just say it again!" Furious, Dipper stomped his right foot directly on the table, his body gradually turning blue.
The sounds of bullets being loaded and knives being unsheathed continued to be heard, and a group of guys with ferocious expressions immediately surrounded them.
Dipper showed a trace of contempt on his face, "Don't accuse me of bullying you, but do you really want to bully Governor Charles's people here?"
"You seem to be a seafarer, so do you plan to follow the rules at sea or on land?"
Half an hour later, inside the Narwhal, Charles looked at the replica of the surface map in front of him and selected his next target.
This is a difficult choice because without any clues, it doesn't matter which side you choose, and now it all depends on luck.
With a "click", the door opened and Dipper, with a bruised face and nose, walked in, holding a red beast skull covered with animal skin in his hand.
"Captain, I accidentally obtained a relic with great power. Would you like to try it?"
Charles looked up and saw a few scales on his face that had been scraped off. "How did it happen? It's already this late, don't cause trouble again."
"It's all right, Captain. It's just a little trouble and it's all resolved."
"This relic is one of the few usable relics found on the surface, and it is very effective. As long as you put it on, you can touch any soul. You can kill a person with just a raise of your hand." Dipper handed over the animal skin in his hand.
Charles took it, looked at it, and threw it back to him. "Keep it for yourself. What I need now is not a relic for killing people. Go check on the supplies. We should set off."
His eyes turned to the 11 o'clock position on the map of the surface on the table.
The body of the God of Light is right over there. Now that we have no clues, we can only search around him.
Half an hour later, the more than sixty-meter-long Narwhal slowly moved under the watchful eyes of everyone in the Giant Pit Fortress.
With this iron fortress, at least the crew can sleep more peacefully, and at least they won't be so helpless if they encounter the monster that killed Knona before.
"Leaving again... Does this guy really plan to not come down until he finds darkness?" In the Governor's office of Hope Island, Anna looked at the telegram in her hand helplessly.
"Mr. Charles is just like that. He's doing this for the good of everyone." Gordon, who was standing next to him with his back to him, complimented with a smile.
Anna crossed her fingers and stretched lazily. "Forget about him. How is the construction of the factory on Ancha Island going?"
"Because of the rock train transportation, our speed is much faster. The airship factory and the ship modification factory are working overtime to speed up the work. The workers inside are working in three shifts. Currently, everything is proceeding according to your first phase plan."
"What about the Relic Research Institute? Why are there not as many new things this month as last month?"
Gordon shuddered when he heard this, and quickly explained: "There are too few relic test subjects, and several people have died recently. We have temporarily encountered a bottleneck and need more different relic test subjects as catalysts."
"Then what are you waiting for? Use that ritual to create more relic test subjects."
"Governor, the problem is that we don't have enough death row prisoners. I wish there weren't so many prisoners on the island."
"If there are no death row prisoners, are there still living people?" Anna said calmly.
Gordon looked up and gave her a surprised look. "Governor, if Lord Charles knew about this order..."
"It's already this late, and you still care about this? Don't worry, just do as I say. I know that guy's temper, he's not a good person. This is all for the sake of saving Earthsea."
"Yes... Governor." Gordon said and slowly walked out.
"By the way, ask Leonardo to come over. I need to discuss the issue of the acting governor of Ancha Island and Tianshui Island."
"OK."
After Gordon left, Anna was the only one left in the room. Behind her, in the gap between the bookshelf and the cabinet, there was a small mouse hole.
Several mice with iron rings on their tails squatted there quietly, listening carefully.
When they heard the noise outside completely disappear, they struggled to get out from the gap.
Anna's lips curled up slightly to reveal a smile, she turned around and gently hooked her finger over there.
The mouse came out from inside and squeaked around her, its little green bean-sized eyes full of longing.
"You are so good. Thank you for your efforts. Go ahead and continue to monitor those restless guys. Report to me immediately if anything happens."
The mice screamed in unison and rushed towards the rat hole next to them.
"What smart little guys! Really, Charles doesn't know how to make good use of these smart little things. They can do more than just surveillance."
