Chapter 553: Task Force

Views:

Charles pushed away Planck who was trying to support him. He felt better and wiped the saliva from the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand. He stared at Alice on the ground and asked again, "The special abilities you showed before are related to relics, right? How many relics did the Foundation bury in your body?"

"Projects? Several of them. It's been so long that I can't remember clearly." The embarrassed Alice said with a smile.

Charles thought for a few seconds before giving the next order. "Let's get out of this place and take this guy with us. Maybe Anna can get something out of her. After we get some information, we can tear her apart and dig out all the relics in her body."

All the crew members of the Narwhal obeyed the order and dragged Alice's body back to the way they came.

Charles looked around at the spacious factory with a serious expression.

Although no dark clues were found this time, the secret of the foundation was unexpectedly discovered.

But this was not what he wanted, especially since he had lost one of his eyes. He felt like he had become 1000 degrees myopic and could only see the rough outline of everything.

The messy footsteps echoed in the factory, and suddenly Alice's words interrupted the footsteps. "You can't leave, no one can leave from here."

The next second, with a snap, the lights in the factory suddenly brightened, and a soft voice sounded from the ceiling. "Lose control level one, Mobile Task Force Black Beaver, wake up."

"Damn it! Everyone, run! There's a trap here!!"

Everyone quickly sped up. Anyone who was not a fool would know that something bad was going to happen in this situation. The Foundation had a backup plan to prevent any accidents.

They ran out of the factory building with the incinerator and rushed quickly towards the crack.

The red warning lights flashing around the factory made everyone's scalp tingle and the atmosphere suddenly became very tense.

With a "click", Charles, who was running in the front, felt that he stepped on something. The next second, a violent explosion sounded instantly, and the huge shock wave from under his feet blew him away.

"There are mines! Be careful of ambushes!" Charles' warning was drowned out by the fierce gunfire.

The gunshots came from behind a nearby factory building, and Charles, who was blown into the air, saw the appearance of those people.

They were a group of guys wearing black special operations uniforms. Charles couldn't see the specific details clearly at the moment, but the four red-lens goggles on their heads caught his attention the most.

The task force fired at the crowd with submachine guns, and the crew members were shot one after another.

They quickly reacted and began to dodge counterattacks, and the two sides fought each other.

Charles lifted up his right foot, which was blown into a bloody mess. Transparent tentacles supported the ground from behind him, supporting him as he rushed towards the Mobile Task Force.

He was constantly hit by bullets, but his speed did not slow down at all. Ordinary bullets were useless to him.

"The target is approaching Group A. It is in suspended state. Thermal weapons have no effect. Preliminary assessment shows that the target is abnormal. Execute Plan E."

The mobile task force members in front of Charles quickly reached into their waists and more than a dozen cylindrical grenades rolled towards him.

Before Charles could dodge, the grenades exploded on their own, and white pungent smoke enveloped the surrounding environment. Those were smoke bombs, not bombs.

"Cough~Cough~~!" Charles coughed violently. There was something else in the smoke.

Charles' body quickly turned into a huge five-meter-tall bat monster. He flapped his wings violently, continuously blowing away the smoke and also blowing away the giant net in the smoke.

The task force seemed to be planning to capture Charles with a net using the smoke.

After a while, they fell to the ground with blood in their ears. Even the few who didn't fall could not even hold their guns steadily.

The members of the Mobile Task Force nearby were quickly slaughtered by Charles, and soon only the last one was left.

Charles pierced his veins with his fangs and sucked the blood from them. Suddenly, his head tilted and a bloody hole appeared at the temple. There was a sniper!

Charles' body quickly disappeared into stealth mode.

Ten seconds later, the sniper squatting on the top of the factory building had his neck broken by him.

The gunfire in the distance gradually subsided, and the crew had almost finished their work.

But just as Charles jumped off the roof and prepared to reunite with his crew members, he saw the bodies of the task force members around him slowly fading and disappearing on the ground.

Not only the corpses, but also their equipment and weapons disappeared.

"No, something is wrong. These guys are not ordinary mobile task force. We must leave here as soon as possible." Charles spread his wings and flew quickly towards the crew.

"Hurry up! There's something wrong with the strength of these task forces. Since they are Alice's backup, they will never do this—"

"Bang!" With a gunshot, Charles' body in mid-air trembled violently. A bullet passed through his mouth and completely tore his vocal cords.

"Mission accomplished. The target cannot use large-scale sonic attacks. Be careful, it will become invisible. Prepare the fluorescent flares."

Charles turned his head to look in the direction of the bullet and found that the sniper who should have been dead reappeared on a building, half-crouching and pointing a gun at him.

At the same time, he also saw that from the paths between the surrounding factory buildings, the previously dead task force members began to surround them with weapons in hand.

It was obvious that the Foundation had used some unknown method to make these guys impossible to kill forever. If they continued like this, they would only be dragged to death here.

Charles folded his wings and landed among the crew members. He quickly waved flags and ordered everyone to head to the rift as quickly as possible and leave this place.

Alice was also thrown down, and they rushed forward at full speed. Soon Charles encountered the task force again.

This time, Charles did not get entangled with them. He let the strongest men stay behind to stop these guys, while the wounded and those with weak combat capabilities left first.

Dipper, who can turn into blue mist, comes in handy in this situation. He can kill the task force members, but their attacks have no effect on Dipper.

But after dying several times, the task force quickly found a solution. A ball of transparent gel was sprayed over and pressed him to the ground.

If Odrick hadn't flown over and rescued him in time, he would have been captured by the task force.

With both hands he pulled out the spine of the guy in front of him. Charles looked at the crew in the distance and saw that they were almost far away, so he ordered the main combat members to start evacuating.

They fought and retreated at the same time. The task force's resurrection point seemed a bit far away, and they were gradually unable to keep up.

Seeing Charles and others rushing out of the crowded factory, the gentle female voice from before sounded again, "Level 2 out of control, Mobile Task Force Assemble, wake up."
