Shrouded Seascape

Chapter 562: Lilith

In the captain's room of the Narwhal, Charles looked at Severus in front of him with an expressionless face.

The vampire seemed particularly restrained. He sat very straight. Neither of them spoke, as if they were waiting for someone.

A few minutes later, a giant bat about a meter wide flew in from the window next to it. It folded its wings and turned into Odrick. "Captain, are you looking for me?"

"Someone from Dark Crystal Island has come. Go check out his background." Charles tapped the table with his steel fingers.

Audric was stunned at first, then he sniffed and looked to the side with his sunglasses. "Which master gave you the first embrace?"

Severus glanced at him but didn't want to talk to him. He reached into his arms and a blood-red crystal ball appeared in his hand.

"Captain, you don't have to doubt me. This time the mistress decided to talk to you in person. I said I was just a messenger."

After saying that, he squeezed the crystal ball with his hand, and the ball broke. A thick, almost solid blood mist gushed out from it and spread instantly. At the same time, the disgusting smell of blood filled the entire room.

The blood mist slowly condensed into red threads and began to weave together, and slowly a sexy body appeared in front of Charles. The remaining scraps condensed into red cloth to cover her body.

Lilith had a petite and plump figure, and looked like an underage girl, but Charles knew that this girl was dozens of times his age.

When Lilith appeared, Odric and Severus behind her immediately lowered their heads with respect in their eyes.

"Governor Charles, you came to my island a few years ago. No one expected that you would develop so fast. You are amazing." Lilith's voice was very soft and very comfortable to hear.

Charles crossed his arms and leaned back slightly in his chair. "There's no time to waste. Just tell me what you want to talk to me about. What do you want to talk to me about?"

Lilith covered her mouth and smiled charmingly, "What a straightforward child, I'm here to help you."

Charles didn't say anything, but remained silent and waited for the other party to continue.

"The Dark Crystal Island is full of my descendants. I can order them to help you search for darkness."

"Sure, welcome." Charles responded simply. He certainly didn't mind having too much help, especially since these vampires could fly, which could provide a lot of help in exploration on this strange surface.

No matter who they are, at least they are united in their goal of searching for darkness.

"But~ We can't help you for free, we need a condition."

Charles laughed disdainfully and said sarcastically: "It seems like you have so many choices. Don't forget that the sea water is also flooding your island."

Lilith, who was covered in blood, frowned. "Can you wait for me to finish speaking? It's very rude to interrupt others."

Seeing that the other party had quieted down, Lilith slowly wandered in the captain's room in her blood-red high heels, with a thin red mist floating down from her.

"Charles, you are now the overlord of the North Sea. I hope you can come forward and propose that the vampires be allowed to live in human society as legal persons."

Charles did not expect this request from the other party. It seemed that these vampires who had been living secretly alone intended to take this opportunity to reintegrate into human society.

"I need to discuss this with others."

Charles did not give a clear answer, and Lilith was not very satisfied with this answer.

She stopped in front of Charles and put her beautiful face in front of him.

"From now on, our blood clan will be the closest ally of Hope Island. In this place, sometimes strength is not the most important thing. Knowing how to win people's hearts is the most important thing."

The bloody finger slowly stretched out and gently scratched Charles's steel prosthesis, leaving a red blood line.

"The problem is that you are vampires, monsters that feed on human blood. If you really get legal status, it is hard to imagine how you will expand into Earthsea in a hundred years."

"Governor Charles, you are worrying about unnecessary things. Vampires feed on human blood. If all humans become vampires, what will we eat? We are more nervous about this than you."

"Besides, the sunlight on your Hope Island is our nemesis. We will never go near such a ghost place."

"Rather than thinking about this, you should think about whether we can survive until then. If the darkness cannot be found, everyone will die."

Charles thought for a while and spoke again: "Okay, but I have one condition. Tell me everything about your past, including before the Foundation captured you."

He wanted to find clues about the past from the mouth of this living fossil.

"Someone invited me to come down. They said there was no sunshine here, so I came."

Charles looked into her eyes and spoke slowly, "Don't lie. I have explored the island where you were imprisoned. The Foundation has captured you, O-sideroblastic anemia type 3 porphyria patient: Lilith."

Hearing this, a hint of panic flashed across Lilith's pupils, but she quickly suppressed it.

She tilted her head slightly and said to the two descendants behind her: "You can step back."

The two vampires behind him, who were like wooden stakes, retreated immediately.

Lilith sat down at the table. "What else do you know? Are you from the Foundation?"

Charles shook his head and denied it. "I'm not curious about your past. I just want to know what happened on the surface in the past."

Having said this, they both turned their heads to look out the window at the same time, at the hazy purple mist.

Looking at the purple mist, Lilith's face also showed a trace of confusion. She walked to the window and spoke slowly.

"I don't know why the surface of the earth has become like this. Maybe the ship that the Foundation sent me down was Noah's Ark. They predicted the coming disaster that would exterminate mankind, so they completely moved to the Earth Sea."

To be honest, Charles had thought about this conjecture before, but no matter how high the possibility was, it was still just a conjecture. "What year was it when you came down?"

"In 1991, the Foundation took me away from the orphanage. They injected me with some kind of drug that turned me into a vampire."

"The Foundation is conducting experiments. They are trying to optimize human genes through vampires. After all, vampires have much better bodies than humans."

"In fact, they are really close to success. After the experiment, the vampires of my generation can already barely eat human food."

Charles was stunned for a moment. It turned out that it was not the Foundation that captured the vampire Lilith, but they created Lilith.
