Chapter 577: canyon

"I didn't expect you to come here in person." Charles turned his head and said to Julio beside him.

"Of course I have to come, otherwise I would be worried. With this guy's head as a warning, the rest of the people should be more honest. I didn't expect it would be him."

As soon as Julio finished speaking, the black floating island wrapped in shadow fell to the ground powerlessly and broke into several pieces.

"Using me as bait without even telling me, is that appropriate?" Charles asked again.

Julio glanced at him coldly and said, "I never trust anyone, not even my own son. Why do you think I would trust you? To be honest, you are suspected of joining the Futan Cult."

"Whoosh~" The black shadow of the floating island was wrapped by a ball of white flame and quickly burned out.

With a gloomy face, Hahod walked out of the rubble with his subordinates. Although they looked a little dusty, they were not injured at all.

"We'll talk about the rest later. Let me take care of this first." Julio took a step forward with his right foot and rushed towards the mages alone.

Anna came over, first glanced at Margaret next to her, then took Charles' arm affectionately, put her soft lips to his ear and said, "Why don't you go and help? Are you just standing here and watching the show?"

"Let him take it for now. He's not done using me as bait yet. Besides, since he claims to be the strongest in Earthsea, I want to see how powerful he is." Charles said in a bad tone.

On the battlefield in the distance, a fireball the size of a small house flew over, but Julio didn't avoid it at all and just rushed in.

He rushed out of the sea of fire with an afterimage, just in time to meet a female mage.

Just when Charles thought that Julio would use some method to get rid of the enemy, Julio did nothing but rushed forward, and the opponent's flesh and blood body was shattered like glass.

"Charles, look, there are some dark green scales growing on Julio's neck. This is probably related to his strong body." Anna looked at him in surprise, holding a telescope she had gotten from somewhere.

"It is only said in Earthsea that he is extremely powerful, but there is no legend about where his abilities come from. He must have a special method," Charles speculated.

Seeing Julio slaughtering his subordinates, Hahod stared with bloodshot eyes and shouted some obscure and difficult to understand spells with all his strength.

Gradually Julio's speed slowed down. There was no water around him, but his clothes and hair were getting wet quickly and began to melt gradually.

Just when Charles was thinking about whether to go and help, Julio flicked his little finger with his right thumb, and the abnormality in his body instantly transferred to a wizard next to him.

"The relics on his body are also very powerful. They should be the best ones on Earth and Sea." Charles analyzed.

"It looks really good. I'll ask for you later. If you sell all those relics, your chances of survival will be much higher during your exploration."

"Do you think it's possible given his personality?"

Margaret listened to the close conversation between the two and silently turned around and walked towards 134 next to her. She noticed that the little girl was staring at Charles' back with malice in her eyes.

Faced with Julio's powerful strength, Hahod and his subordinates had no ability to resist at all.

Even if they joined together to cast a powerful collective spell, they only caused a scratch on his stomach.

Looking at the silent encirclement around him, and then looking at the corpses scattered on the ground, Hahod knew that he had completely failed this time, and he had been plotted against by everyone.

At this moment, Julio looked at Hahod like a cat looking at a mouse it is playing with.

Hahod felt the broken bones piercing his lungs, and every time he breathed, his chest felt like it was on fire.

"Don't resist too hard. It will be hard to put your head together if it's broken. I still need your head to intimidate others."

"You don't understand... You don't understand what kind of power you are fighting against! You think you are strong? You are nothing in front of the powerful!!"

Hahod broke off the black crystal on the staff with force, and the crystal with a faint glow exploded into fine powder. He scooped up the powder and stuffed it directly into his mouth.

Purple light gradually emerged from his body, and everything around him began to tremble.

Julio frowned slightly, tensed his calf muscles, and prepared to finish this guy off once and for all.

But at this moment, Charles' extremely frightened voice sounded from behind, "Run!!"

The next second, a shrill whistle sounded. It was four short beeps, representing emergency avoidance.

Julio showed a look of contempt on his face. This thing in front of him? It's not like he hasn't killed mages in the West Sea before. This level of strength...

Just as he was thinking this, he suddenly felt a relic buried in his body break. It was a relic used to sense danger. It had been with him for decades, and it had never broken even in the most critical situations before, but now it broke.

"Bang!" Julio's body disappeared in an instant, leaving only a cracked ground in its original place.

As soon as they heard the whistle, everyone began to disperse quickly. They started to retreat frantically. Looking at this scene, Hahod opened his mouth wide and laughed loudly.

“Hahahaha!! Are you scared now? You mortals!! I’m using the power of God, I—”

He disappeared in the middle of his words.

When everyone looked back subconsciously, they were stunned. A bottomless canyon instantly replaced Hahod's position.

It really was a canyon, it just appeared out of nowhere, and there was no sound at all.

Everyone was stunned, staring blankly at the scene in front of them with their eyes wide open, but Charles could see what they couldn't see.

A huge round root shining with evil purple light slowly rose from the canyon and retracted into the purple mist above.

"God?" A thought flashed through Charles' mind, but he didn't feel any mental pollution, nor did he have any auditory or visual hallucinations.

But for some reason, Charles felt that the god this time was more powerful than any he had seen before.

Julio walked back silently. He said nothing, his body tensed, Charles saw fear in his eyes, and this guy also saw the root.

Julio stood next to Charles, and after a long pause he looked up and said, "Have your people issue a decree not to use magic on the surface. It will attract... will attract... will attract bad things."
