Chapter 248: Taking advantage and suffering a great loss

Views:

In Nick Fury's office, Dio and 'Fuck You' were sitting opposite each other.

"You want the small piece that fell from the Destroyer?" Nick Fury asked while drinking coffee. After Thor defeated the Destroyer, the Destroyer's head began to deform, and a piece of fragment the size of a fingernail fell off. Later, the SHIELD agents found it when they were cleaning the battlefield.

Of course, this was not some unexpected gain, but SHIELD had almost searched the entire destroyed town until they were sure that there were no more alien objects.

However, this fragment, which was used as a 'sample', did not play a significant role in the subsequent research on the Destroyer Armor, so its value was greatly reduced. After all, what can be done with a fragment the size of a fingernail

But when Dio came over and asked for it this time, Nick Fury immediately realized the value of it, a value he had not known before.

"That's right. I think there's no need for us to beat around the bush. Just state the conditions." Dio said bluntly. Facing Nick Fury, the one-eyed old fox, it was almost impossible to get what they wanted without paying a price.

You're definitely not going to get away with it by lying, so just do it.

"Before that, I want to know what you want that thing for?"

"Remember when I told you I wanted to build a weapon?"

Nick Fury was stunned for a moment, then suddenly realized.

"It seems that you have collected enough materials?" He asked tentatively, with a deep meaning in his words. Based on his understanding of this guy, if he didn't have a certain confidence, he wouldn't rush to confront him in such a hurry.

"perhaps?"

Dio didn't care. Anyway, SHIELD had long suspected that he was responsible for the theft of the adamantium alloy. The fact that no one from the military had come to trouble him until now proved that SHIELD had taken the blame for him.

Seeing Dio's performance, Nick Fury had a rough idea in his mind, so he leaned back in his chair and said awkwardly: "According to the regulations of S.H.I.E.L.D., these alien items must not be leaked out, so I'm sorry, I can't help you with this matter."

Dio frowned when he heard this. He knew that this black salted egg was asking for a high price, but he also knew that this guy was not lying. It was normal for S.H.I.E.L.D. to have such a rule. Any alien items that were lost to the outside world would be recycled by them. This was to nip in the bud some dangers that should not exist, and to use these things to improve their own technological level. There was nothing wrong with that.

"I do have some special metals that I can use as payment in exchange for that fragment."

Nick Fury remained unmoved by Dio's implicit offer of a bargaining chip.

Are you kidding me? SHIELD has taken such a huge blame for you and you haven't even shown any appreciation. Do you think you can just get rid of them with such a small thing

Seeing that Nick Fury was unmoved and still drinking coffee calmly, Dio wanted to hit him.

"Perhaps I have another metal that Director Fury would be interested in."

"The coffee is good, would you like some?"

"Add some vibranium to show my sincerity. If Director Fury still disagrees, I can only use my own way of negotiation. Those new agents seem to have not experienced any test of war. Perhaps I can help them. I hope Director Fury won't mind."

After saying this, Dio picked up the coffee and turned it upside down, but surprisingly, not a drop of coffee spilled, as if Newton's laws of motion were invalid at this moment.

What was even more shocking was yet to come. Dio directly put a finger into it and took the coffee cup off. However, the coffee inside was fixed on his finger like pudding. Then Dio took a bite of it and said, "It must taste good."

This miraculous ripple application technique is so powerful that no matter how many people come, they cannot suppress Newton's coffin.

Nick Fury, who was attracted by this scene, widened his eyes slightly because of the term he just mentioned.

"Vibranium? You still have this thing?"

"I think SHIELD should be familiar with vibranium, so this deal is a win-win for both sides. Director Fury, are you going to refuse?" As he spoke, Dio ate the entire 'coffee pudding' and exhaled a breath of hot air.

Nick Fury was surprised and began to ponder after looking at him deeply.

But just when Dio thought he had no reason to refuse, Nick Fury gave him a bigger surprise.

"Yes, I reject the deal because I want to do it another way."

While Dio was stunned, Nick Fury got through to the underground laboratory and said, "Seal up the research material of HMZ-1 and send it to me immediately."

"Yes, sir!"

Not long after, a black box was brought in by the agents.

Nick Fury opened it directly, and a slightly dull silver metal fragment the size of a fingernail was lying quietly inside.

"This is what you wanted."

The box was pushed over, but Dio, not knowing what this old fox was up to, did not touch it.

Because he knows that the most expensive things in the world are often 'free', and no price means the biggest price!

"What do you want? To get me to join your Avengers plan?"

"No, of course not. I don't like to force others. To be honest, your threat just now scared me a little. So for the safety of those 'little friends', I think it's better to hand this thing over to you directly."

I believed your lies, you old man are so evil!

Dio didn't believe a word the black-salted egg said. Anyone who believed him would be a fool!

"Are you sure you want to give this to me without any strings attached?"

"I think there may be some misunderstanding between us. Isn't it normal for friends to help each other when one of them is in trouble?" Nick Fury said hypocritically.

This was the first time Dio felt this thing was so hot since he entered the door!

After staring for a long time, Dio sighed and said, "You win. I'll take the things away. Don't regret it."

Obviously, he had suffered a great loss, but Nick Fury smiled on his old face and said nonchalantly, "Of course, if there is anything else you need our help with, just give me a call. Oh, by the way, do you want me to send a helicopter to take you back? It's so late now, or do you want me to arrange a place for you to stay and leave tomorrow?"

"Thank you, but please don't bother me. I'm afraid I'll see my 'indenture' when I open my eyes tomorrow morning."

Dio, who had obviously gained a great advantage, seemed to be in a bad mood.
