Strange Gentlemen

Chapter 98: 02 Castle

The air was filled with the smell of decay.

The sunlight is full of flying dust.

A group of young men and women who seemed to have strayed into this place had different reactions when faced with a skeleton that suddenly appeared and spoke.

Some people were frightened and ran out screaming; some people suppressed their fear and shouted "Who is doing this?", trying to find the "prankster" who was talking behind their backs; others stayed where they were, looking around anxiously and even calling for their parents... The reactions were different.

These people all looked like young people of similar age, and the only thing they had in common was the black line patterns on the back of their hands.

Qin Feichang was one of those who stood still and did not run around. She was not scared by the skeleton. While the skeleton was talking and attracting everyone's attention, she took a quick look at everyone.

Her scrutinizing gaze passed over the cool boy dressed as a delinquent, the timid and introverted girl, the young master who looked like he was from a wealthy family and well-educated, the eldest daughter with a bad temper and an overbearing manner, the ordinary boy who was uneasily seeking other people's opinions, and so on. Finally, she stopped at a girl in the corner who was wearing a retro white long nightgown.

This child looked like the youngest one here, no more than sixteen or seventeen years old. He was so good-looking that even under Qin Fei's picky eyes, he could not find any flaws.

She had fair skin and beautiful rosy lips that reminded people of roses. Her thick black hair was wavy and spread over her shoulders. Her dark eyes looked up at the light coming in through the gap. She was the only one among the fifty people in the hall who was not listening to the skeleton.

—The other one is Qin Feichang.

The absent-minded girl also had a very good temperament and seemed to be from a good family. Judging from their clothing and temperament, except for a few, these young people were almost all from wealthy families and were spoiled children.

In a short time, the noisy crowd was like a mess of loose sand, scattered in all directions. The brave ones went to observe the skeleton that stopped moving after saying a word, the lonely ones walked away from the crowd alone, and the people without opinions were like ants running around in circles.

The ancient castle ruins, which were originally filled with tranquility, suddenly became noisy with the voices and shouts of these people.

Qin was not interested in being a leader among this group of young people. In her eyes, young people in their early twenties were considered children. At this age, they could not stand being told what to do and thought they were the most powerful in the world. This was very troublesome.

She walked out of the hall alone, and the moment she saw everything clearly, she felt like she was in an ancient history.

The building, which is full of a sense of time, is too magnificent. The banquet hall behind is just a corner of the castle complex. Although it is so damaged, it is not difficult to imagine from the shapes and details how amazing this castle with a huge area must have been when it was intact.

The buildings fell into disrepair over time, but the plants in the garden grew more and more luxuriant over time.

The climbing roses in the flower beds entangled the faded statues and spread from the ground to the inside of the buildings, competing for territory with weeds and wild flowers.

After walking a short distance with the purpose of exploring this mysterious place, Qin Feichang began to look at this large work of art with appreciation.

These dead buildings and growing plants are much more interesting than those impatient and shouting young people.

Bang—

The brave ones ran to the second floor in groups, pushed open the windows above, looked down and began to shout in amazement.

Qin avoided these young men above his head and prepared to explore in another direction.

Suddenly, she saw the girl in the nightdress she had noticed in the hall, and she also walked out alone. Qin Feichang felt that this girl was different from the others. After a moment's thought, she changed her mind and followed the girl.

The girl was not even wearing shoes, only a nightgown, but she did not look afraid at all as she walked in this strange place. She looked at the flowers and plants around her as she walked. She had an innocent temperament, just like a little princess who knew nothing about the world.

Qin Fei followed closely and saw her pick up something on the way, which seemed to be a small box. She picked it up and started fiddling with it with her steps briskly.

Lush plants hung by the roadside, blocking the road ahead and the view. Qin Feichang glanced away and saw a white shadow flash in front of him, and the girl disappeared.

She was not in a hurry and walked slowly forward. At the end was a relatively intact circular building with a bud-like dome and twelve windows arranged around it.

Qin Feichang listened to the clear music coming from inside, like a music box. She came to the door and saw the girl in the circular building. She was holding a dusty music box, with her arms outstretched and her head raised, spinning in circles on the open space with a smile on her face.

Without disturbing her, Qin Feichang went up to the second floor from the stairs on the side, stood at the railing, and looked down at the small space.

This place should have been built by the former owner for dancing, but now it is badly damaged, and the dust on the ground is stirred up by the girl's steps.

The vines that covered the outer wall climbed into the house through the window, and the fresh green arched the circular stage. The girl in the white nightgown was chasing the dust particles in the sun and spinning. This light and color, this dim background and vivid characters are worth taking a photo of.

Too bad there's no camera.

Qin is very busy at work and his only hobby is taking pictures. He felt a little regretful when he saw this scene but couldn't take pictures.

She stood at the railing and looked down quietly. The girl also saw her, but she only looked at her for a second and continued to turn around as if no one was around.

If this child had not developed a naive character due to isolation from the world in the past, then he would be a person with a firm mind and personality defects, and most likely a pervert. Qin stroked his glasses with certainty.

Her ability to judge people is well-known in the Qin family and she rarely makes mistakes.

As she looked down silently, the vines clinging to the wall behind her swayed as if blown by the wind and stretched towards her neck.

Qin turned his head suddenly and looked behind him suspiciously.

As the music of the music box stopped abruptly, the person who was spinning suddenly fell to the ground. Qin Feichang looked at her with a normal expression. The girl was curled up and motionless, her white dress spread on the ground, and her black curly hair spread out to cover her head, face and expression.

She curled up there like a discarded white dress - once gorgeous and soft, but now lying in the dust, stained with dirty mud and then dried up, becoming stiff and lifeless.

Walking down the stairs, Qin Feichang walked to the girl, picked up the music box that had fallen to the ground, turned it around to make it sound again, and then held out his hand to her: "Get up, the ground is covered with dust."

A pair of black eyes looked at her through the gaps in her hair, vaguely, and the girl's rosy lips curved up, she was smiling.

A slender hand suitable for playing the piano was placed in her hand, and Qin pulled the girl up with great effort. It was heavier than she thought, and standing opposite, the girl was actually a little taller than her, but her figure was too thin.

Qin Feichu guessed that she had learned to dance, she had a good figure and long legs.

As usual, Qin brushed the dust off her skirt. The girl stood still, used to being taken care of like this. She was also looking at her with a strange gaze, but it was uncomfortable, like the thorns on a rose, piercing her body.

"What's your name?" Qin Feichang asked her.

The girl tilted her head, her black curly hair falling on her red lips, her expression innocent and pure, she obviously had no intention of speaking, she smiled, suddenly turned around and ran out.

It was really strange. Could it be that she was not mentally normal, so she had no fear of this strange place? Qin Feichang stood there for a while before leaving, leaving only a music box still making a ding-dong sound.

The green vines that had been crawling quietly on the ground suddenly began to wriggle, rolling the music box under the vines.

The sunlight was sinking inch by inch, and the previously bright light had begun to take on the color of sunset.

It won't be long before darkness falls. Although this strange place doesn't seem dangerous now, Qin is not careless.

She looked around to find a safe place to stay temporarily, but every place here made her feel uneasy.

There were still many places in this building complex that she had not checked. She hesitated whether to continue looking for a place to stay for the night or go back to the previous hall.

Just then, she heard a boy's laughter.

"You're so beautiful, but it's too dangerous for you to run around in a place like this alone, right?" The tone was so slick and vulgar that it made people uncomfortable.

Sure enough, as soon as I walked over, I saw a young man in his twenties dressed in colorful clothes, laughing and pushing the girl in the white dress to the green carpet made of vines, pressing on her and tearing her clothes.

The girl was like a fool. She didn't know how to resist. She was even laughing, looking very happy.

Qin Feichang picked up a brick that had fallen from the collapsed building at his feet, walked over silently, and smashed it hard on the back of the young man's head. The brick broke into two pieces, and the man fell limp.

In the Qin family, martial arts fighting is a compulsory course for physical fitness, but she was too busy with work to spend much time on it. She only learned some simple techniques and knew how to make people lose their ability to resist as quickly as possible.

Qin Feichang pulled the young man away and tried to pull up the girl lying on the ground. But when he pushed the man away, he saw that the girl's nightgown was torn from the neckline down, revealing her flat chest... This "girl" turned out to be a boy!

Take another look at her...his face. With this appearance and not being that old, it's no wonder it's hard to tell whether he's male or female.

In this short time, Qin Feichang pulled this man up from the ground twice. He was still wearing the ragged clothes, with an innocent look on his face, not caring at all. Although he was a boy, he didn't know how he was raised, but his white neck and skin had a slender and fragile girlish feeling.

She thought she was a moral and conscientious adult. With a helpless sigh, Qin Feichang took off the sweater he was wearing, revealing the shirt underneath.

"Put this on and wear it directly over the top."

The boy didn't answer, but he finally spoke. His voice was very charming and pleasant, "I don't know how to put on clothes."

Where on earth did this little prince come from? He can't even wear clothes. Qin Feichang casually put the sweater on his head, revealing his pretty head, and then grabbed his hands and stuffed them into his sleeves, and put them on in one go.

"Be careful." Then he turned and left.

The boy standing there didn't care about her leaving. As if attracted by the sweater on his body, he put the soft sleeves in front of his nose and smelled it.

At his feet, vines suddenly came alive, like a tide of green ants, crawling over the man lying on the ground. The tender vines covered the back of his head, burrowed into the wound, and sipped the red juice.
