Chapter 107: A gentleman takes revenge

Views:

I found Xue Chufan in Qinglian Temple, and seeing his indifferent appearance, it was hard to imagine that he would be the murderer of Qi Chengtian. However, when I asked his senior brother Wangqing about the situation, Wangqing said that when he first came to learn Taoism, he actually wanted to learn some cursing and other sidelines.

"Does Taoism really have a curse that kills people?" Zhen Zhen's face was slightly terrified.

"Yes, there must be. Taoist philosophy contains the principles of all things in the world. As long as you think about it carefully, let alone killing others, it is very easy to make you fall in love with a lousy old man like me..." Wangqing said, Seeing that Zhen Zhen was getting more and more panicked, she laughed heartily: "Hahaha... In fact, Taoism can be regarded as the foundation of ancient Chinese science. Ancient Chinese astronomy, calendar and other sciences all originated from Taoist theories. Just like modern times Like other sciences, Taoist theories can be used to benefit human beings, but they may also harm human beings.

"So, is Taoism really harmful to people?" This is the question I am most concerned about.

"Sorcery..." Wangqing smiled before answering: "I think your use of the word is inappropriate. The wisdom of Taoism is actually not what the world thinks, and people who learn Taoism are not only in the pursuit of immortality. Practical things, or they will only do things that drive ghosts and gods and other strange powers. Of course, I have to admit that there are such people, but they are only a very small number and cannot represent all Daoists. "

"Is there a way to harm people in the wisdom of Taoism?" I really couldn't think of any words that could replace the "magic" I wanted to say, but it didn't matter, Wangqing should be able to understand what I meant.

Wang Qing smiled and walked outside the hall, and raised his hand to signal us to follow. When we walked with him to the small square outside the Taoist temple, he pointed to the mountain forest on the mountainside and said to us: "You must have suffered a lot when you went up the mountain, do you think this mountain forest has been cast by someone's spells? '?"

I smiled a little embarrassedly: "Well, I did have this idea, but Wanghen has already explained it to me."

He led us back to the main hall again, and said as we walked: "Fengshui is a concrete manifestation of Taoist wisdom. People in the world do not understand the wisdom contained within and think it is nothing. In fact, Fengshui is also a science. In today's words, It's architecture. For example, if you build a pool in a courtyard, a charlatan might say it's to keep evil and attract money. But if you ask me, I'll tell you that a pool can moisten the air so that the wind that blows into the house won't If it is too dry, people who live in the house will live more comfortably. If people live comfortably, their health will be better, they will be motivated to do things, and everything will naturally go smoothly. From this perspective, a small pool can There are not many effects, and it can even affect people's luck, this is 'feng shui'!"

Sounds like a mysterious feng shui technique, but under the simple and easy-to-understand explanation of forgetfulness, it instantly takes off the veil of mystery. Its essence turns out to be a broad and profound architecture. The so-called people in the world think that Feng Shui is not credible. I think it is probably the same as other Taoist wisdom such as Xiangxue.

After Wangqing explained Feng Shui for us, he asked me: "Do you think the 'magic' of Taoism is harmful to people now?"

"Yes!" I gave him an affirmative answer first, and then explained: "Since the wisdom of Taoism is the basis of ancient science, various specific application methods can naturally be derived. But everything has two sides, just like a mountainside The mountain forest, although it is very difficult to climb the mountain after applying the wisdom of Taoism, but for the creatures of the mountain forest, the forest is lush, and their living environment has been improved. Therefore, in the wisdom of Taoism, there are both benefits for human beings. On the one hand, there is also a corresponding side that harms human beings.”

"Ruzi can be taught, hahaha..." Wangqing laughed loudly, patted me on the shoulder and said, "You are very talented, if you learn Dao, you will definitely become a great person in the future, do you want me to introduce it for me? It is also possible to learn Taoism at home!”

"I'm afraid I haven't been able to calm down and learn Taoism." I refused with a smile, and then said seriously: "Now I want you to answer me seriously once, whether Taoism is a harmful spell!"

"Yes, as you said, Taoism does have Taoism techniques that are specially used to harm people." He also answered me seriously, but immediately put on a smiling face: "However, I don't know this type of Taoism. I didn't even think about learning."

For me, it doesn't matter whether forgetfulness can harm people, what matters is whether Xue Chufan knows this kind of Taoism? However, just when I wanted to continue to ask Wangqing about Xue Chufan, in order to speculate whether he was really a daoist that would harm people, he came out of the inner hall.

Xue Chufan politely said to us, "Master said I want to see you, please..." Then he motioned us to enter the inner hall.

They did not intend to enter the inner hall with us, so we had to enter by ourselves. They seem to be in awe of the inner hall, which makes me think that there is something special in the inner hall, but in fact, it is as simple as the rest of the Taoist temple, and it can even be said to be simple. The entire inner hall is about forty square meters, except for a wooden bookshelf that should be somewhat historical, I didn't see any other furniture. The bookshelves are full of books, and upon closer inspection, I find that they are all wire-bound books, which should be some old books. However, the books appear to be well preserved, and the entire shelf is spotless. I think it should be because people often read the books on the shelf, but they read them very carefully, so this is the case.

On the exposed blue brick wall hangs the only decoration of the entire inner hall—a painting and calligraphy. However, this calligraphy and painting is just like the Taoist temple, it is so simple, there is only one word "Jian" written on iron and silver hook in the whole calligraphy and painting. Beneath the calligraphy and painting, there is an old man with Taoism and fairy style sitting cross-legged on the futon and beckoning to us with a calm demeanor. He should be the real person Wuchen, the master of the Qinglian Temple.

There were two futons in front of the real person Wuchen, and he motioned us to sit on the futons. As soon as I sat down and didn't speak, he pointed to the top of my head and asked me, "Do you think this calligraphy is strange?"

I do find this calligraphy and painting very strange, because most people only hang calligraphy and paintings such as "Dao", "Zen" and "Jing" in the retreat room. This is the first time I see "Jane". However, what makes me even more curious is, why does he know what is on my mind

However, before I could express the doubts in my heart, he already answered me: "Look at people in small ways, and know what they are doing. What a person thinks in his heart can be found in his actions and actions, as long as he observes carefully, he will gain something."

"Is this the wisdom of Taoism?" Although I met for the first time, I already felt that this Wuchen real person was unfathomable.

"It's the wisdom of life." He replied indifferently, and then added: "Wisdom comes from life, and there is no sect. The so-called sects only open up different methods of wisdom. The same goal is achieved by different paths, and the ultimate goal is to let the world reach the peak of wisdom. ." Hearing what he said, I seemed to have an epiphany. Whether it is Buddhism or Taoism, its true meaning is not to teach the world to burn incense and worship Buddha, but to enlighten the wisdom of an educational method, but it has long been distorted by the world's true meaning.

After thinking for a while, although I wanted to understand the meaning of his words, I still could not understand the word "Jian", so I asked: "Please forgive me for being late and being stupid, and I don't understand the meaning of this calligraphy and painting."

He replied slowly: "Jian, the root of the Tao. Yi, the foundation of the scriptures. The Tao, the way things go. The scriptures, the steps of things. Without simplicity, the way is curved, and without the scriptures, there is nothingness. The law is in nature, and there is no enduring when the way is lost, and it grows by following the way.”

His explanation is not ordinary esoteric, I thought about it for a while and didn't understand what it meant. But in general terms, I think he means that "Jane" is the basis of Tao, but what "Jane" means, I have no idea. Of course, I don't need to understand, because understanding the truth is not something that happens overnight. So, I still ask what I want to know first: "What kind of person is Wang Ghen?"

"You're the first person who came to me to ask others without questioning yourself..." He closed his eyes for a moment, as if he was recalling the past, and when he opened his eyes again, he was ready to tell us about Xue Chufan. But before that, he introduced himself -

I am the seventh-generation Guanzhu of Qinglian Temple, and the Taoist name is Wuchen.

This temple is located in a remote and quiet environment, which is a good place for retreat. But because it is too remote, no pilgrims usually come to visit. If no one comes, the Taoist temple will naturally have no income, let alone offering sacrifices to the Sanqing Patriarch, even our daily life will be a problem. Therefore, since the first generation of Guanzhu, the real person, Xuanhe, the ancient Guanzhu will use what they have learned to go out to see pictures or feng shui for the world, so as to earn Taoist expenses. Because the masters of this view in the past dynasties are all true scholars, so this view has become famous day by day, and many people even travel far to seek advice.

I think that if you can reach this view, you must have suffered a lot. It is precisely because the journey up the mountain is difficult, and most people who can reach this view ask for advice sincerely, so Zhenren Xuanhe set the rules: "Anyone who goes up the mountain in person, no matter what they ask for, should try their best to solve it, and no points will be charged. arts."

Shizu made this rule originally to help more people in need, but as time went on, when I took over as the Guanzhu, several people went to the mountain every day to ask for advice, which seriously affected our meditation. Therefore, I had to make another rule, and only the first and fifteenth days of the first day of the first year would receive the visitors who went up the mountain. This rule can make many people get closed, and the reputation of this view has been greatly reduced because of this, but it does not matter, anyway, people who sincerely ask for advice don’t care about taking more trips, and we can also meditate.

Although the reputation of this view is not as good as before after I took over as the master, it is not that no one knows about it. There are always people who can learn about the existence of this view through various channels, and forgetting hatred is one of them. The first time he came here, he asked about his career. I showed him his palm and face, and found that he was very intelligent and a smart man, and he would definitely be rich and noble in the future. It is a pity that he is impetuous and eager for success, and he will definitely experience many setbacks when he is young. Therefore, I repeatedly admonished him to act in a hurry, and sent some scriptures to read. Unexpectedly, I did this to hurt him...

All I gave him were some Taoist introductory books, and if he studied carefully, he would have gained a lot. Later, he did study these scriptures intentionally, but unfortunately, he was eager to achieve success, and used the truths from these righteous scriptures in other ways. In fact, there is no right or wrong in the wisdom of Taoism. The key is whether the Taoist learner has righteous thoughts in his heart. Forgetting hatred is because he is eager to achieve success, and uses the techniques of the right way for the evil way, and finally hurts himself.

The second time he came, I knew something was wrong as soon as I saw him, because I could see at a glance that his blessings were completely exhausted. In a person's life, misfortune and fortune have their own fixed numbers. The so-called method of seeking good fortune and avoiding misfortune is only to change the time when misfortune and fortune come. Destined things cannot be changed by relying on some side-by-side tricks, and forcibly changing the time when misfortune and good fortune come, must pay the corresponding price. If the disaster is delayed, it will only make the disaster more fierce; and if the future blessing is overdrawn in advance, only half of the blessing will be obtained. If you want to truly change your destiny, you can only rely on accumulating virtue and doing good deeds, and there is no other way.

Under normal circumstances, it is impossible for a young man to completely exhaust the blessings of his life, so I asked him if he was using Feng Shui and other methods to promote his luck. He said that when he first started the company, the business was not very good, and many things were not going well, so he used the wisdom I learned from the scriptures I gave him to make luck for himself, hoping that the company could come back to life. Originally, he was just a dead horse and a living doctor. He tried his luck. He didn't expect his business to improve because of this, and it has been smooth sailing since then, until he had an accident.

I told him at the time that he was not doing this for himself, but to overdraft his luck. When the luck of this life is overdrawn, evil will naturally follow. However, he failed to listen to my words, and just kept asking me to teach him harmful Taoism so that he could avenge his cousin who defrauded his company. I saw that he was righteous in his heart, so I pretended to promise him that he would stay and study the Dao, so that I could enlighten him and relieve the hostility in his heart.

Over the years, he has been studying the Tao with all his heart. Although he started out for revenge, he gradually understood the truth of the time for revenge.

After listening to Wuchen's narration, I discovered an extremely important question, that is, Xue Chufan once studied the scriptures by himself, and learned from it the method of luck. So, I immediately asked, "Can Wanghen realize the wisdom of becoming a Taoist by himself without anyone's guidance?"

Wuchen was stunned at first when he heard the words, then sighed softly and said calmly: "Forgetting hate is doomed to be unavoidable. I have already said what I have to say, you should do what you need to do!" we leave.

As the saying goes, "It is not too late for a gentleman to take revenge for ten years". Although Xue Chufan has devoted himself to studying Taoism in recent years and looks like he is indifferent to the world, it is difficult to guarantee that he did not do it for the sake of studying harmful Taoism. Qi Chengtian's death is likely to be related to him. There is a great connection. So when we returned to the main hall, the first thing I did was put handcuffs on him and said to him, "You have been arrested, and I suspect that you killed Qi Chengtian!"
