Chapter 414: Concentrated in concentration, the princes made their debut

Views:

The so-called meditation yoga focuses on meditation. The set of meditation brought by Ran Deng since his birth is divided into three stages: concentration, concentration and samadhi.

Concentration, also known as persistence, inner awakening, and mindfulness, is the first stage of this set of meditation yoga. At this time, the practitioner is required to focus on one place and one thing, but this thing here is no longer regulating the breath and regulating the mind. It is not an object outside the body or a point inside the body, but an image within consciousness.

There are three types of concentration: holding the thoughts in the 'self'; holding the outer space and the inner space; holding the forms of the soul in the five elements of earth, water, fire, wind and space."

The "self" here refers to the "true self" that is separated from the worldly appearances, that is, the peaceful and untainted self-mind. "Outer space" refers to the void state outside the body. The vastness and emptiness of space can induce the emptiness and stillness of one's own mind. The image of the soul of the five elements is actually a "real image" that is separated from the names and appearances of the world, and can also be said to be the true state of mind of the self. In short, the three aspects here are all inseparable from the aspects in one's own mind, and should refer to the aspects of memory or imagination.

All in all, the basic objects of concentration are: one is the solemn and solemn form; the other is the "empty form" which is "without form". Whether it is with or without form, it is all mental appearance, which means it can only be an image in "memory".

Ever since Ran Deng entered the state of concentration, he discovered that there was boundless light in his mind. This light is something Ran Deng has never seen before. It is not only light, but also interprets a kind of hope that guides everything and an awareness that reaches everything.

He knew that his origin was extremely special, but instead of giving up all his strangeness and oblivious to everyone, he might as well use all the power to strengthen himself in the hope that he would be able to know the truth of everything in the future.

He is not clear now. In the future, if he really wants to go to the point where the name Ran Deng really comes, he believes that all questions can be answered.

Use light as a candle to illuminate everything that is ignorant, it is a lamp.

This aspect that Ran Deng takes in his heart is what his name brings, Ran Deng. This lamp has no fixed shape and is composed of the infinite light in his mind. It is a thing with form, but it is also a thing without form.

After this step of concentration, you will enter concentration.

Ordinary yoga techniques often require specific postures to enter concentration. The meditation yoga of Ran Deng is different. It emphasizes the intention rather than the form. As long as he has the thought of entering concentration in his heart, he can freely enter the state of concentration.

To enter concentration is to have continuous awareness of objects. The consciousness here refers to the kind of thought that is focused on one place at the beginning of the concentration stage, which means that it always maintains this state, never abandons it, never leaves it, never forgets it.

Because in the step of concentrating, there is a difference between form and formlessness. Of course, entering concentration will naturally be divided into form and formless gods and formless emptiness.

In meditation yoga, gods with appearances are said to have merit and virtue to enter concentration, and the object of observation has a "sacred" color; while entering concentration without merit is purely to visualize "self-reality". In other words, having merit and virtue is dependent on the divine "other power"; but without merit and virtue, it is purely dependent on "self-power".

"Prince Ran Deng, Queen Kunti has something to ask you."

Ran Deng was closing his eyes and concentrating, entering into boundless concentration. Suddenly, his ears moved slightly, and a female voice came. He came out of the concentration, and then sighed softly.

In such a crowded palace, it is almost impossible to achieve pure concentration. Ever since he started practicing meditation yoga, he never seemed to be in trance for more than half a day.

As for the first level of Samadhi above concentration and concentration, Ran Deng has never even thought about it. Although he was born with Su Hui, he is only seven years old after all.

Ran Deng stood up from his bed, looked up at the delicate Su Duo girl, smiled and nodded, gesturing for her to lead the way.

This maid, who was transformed from Kshatriya to Sudo because of her mother's surname, glanced at the prince she was serving and sighed in her heart: "What a perfect prince, but it's a pity that he is mute."

Although she was a maid, she was extremely sympathetic to this young prince with a handsome face. This prince can be said to be an example of a Brahmin in terms of appearance and character. He has almost no shortcomings except that he likes to sleep more than ordinary children.

Because of the celestial sign at birth, Ran Deng was not loved by Bhishma, the patron saint of Xiangcheng and the most powerful warrior in all human kingdoms. For seven years since he was born, the son of Ganges had never even looked at his grandnephew, let alone communicated with him.

But Prince Ran Deng is also unable to communicate. Like his uncle King Chi, Ran Deng is also born with defects. But unlike King Dhrita, who was blind and unable to see, Prince Deng Deng was mute and unable to speak.

Ran Deng just took a casual look and roughly knew what the girl was thinking. He didn't care and followed the girl to the room where his mother was.

When he pushed the door open and walked in, he saw his mother Kunti, sitting in the quiet room praying. With her young and beautiful face and curvy figure, it was impossible to tell that she was a woman whose eldest son was already in his twenties. .

Ran Deng came to his mother, curtsied to her according to Indian etiquette, and then stood behind her, waiting for her to finish her prayer.

It wasn't until he was two or three years old that Ran Deng finally knew what kind of world he had come to. The Indian epic Mahabharata. Although he had not fully read all the prayers and poems in it, the content was probably like a storybook. Saw it.

This was a struggle between two ethnic groups among the Brahmins. The Kurupai Sons and the Five Pandu Sons fought for decades in order to seize the throne.

The mother of Ran Deng, Kunti, is the mother of the five sons of Pandu. The five sons of Pandu are not the children of Pandu and Kunti, but the children of Kunti who were born by attracting the gods through the secret method taught by the sage.

It's just that Ran Deng knows the origins of his brothers very well, but as for his own origin, Ran Deng is in a fog.

"Randeng, you're here. Get ready. Today the king sent a message that he will go outside to test the skills learned by your five brothers in front of the entire Xiangcheng people."

Kunti's face seemed excited and nervous at the same time. She had not seen her children for seven years, and her heart was filled with anticipation as to what would happen to her five older children.

······

During this time, the people of the entire Elephant City got the news that King Dhritahara was going to test the achievements of the princes who had followed Master Drona over the years in front of the people of the city.

On this day, the sun was shining brightly, and King Dharma arrived accompanied by his entourage, preceded by Bhishma, the son of Ganges, and the outstanding master, Mercy. The king walked into the royal review venue. This square was jointly built by Drona, the mentor of the princes, and Vilo, the prime minister. It was screened with pearl net strings, decorated with bark glass and Mani gemstones, and was built with gold.

Dhritarashtra's wife Gandhari, her daughter Durosa, Kunti and her son Randeng, followed by their female slaves and servants, all ascended to the stand, just like the gods ascending Mount Milu.

Brahmins, Kshatriyas and other four castes also hurried out of the city to watch the performances of the princes who had mastered martial arts. Out of curiosity, people shouted loudly, played drums and played music. At that time, the gathering on the school grounds was like a turbulent ocean.

Afterwards, the master Drona was dressed in white clothes, with a white sacred thread on his shoulders, white hair, white beard, white garland, and white ointment. He walked to the center of the school grounds with his son Ma Xi, just as a bright moon accompanied by sparks rose in the cloudless blue sky. This outstanding strongman held a sacrifice as usual, and invited Brahmins who were proficient in mantras to recite auspicious words. After the sacred blessings fell silent, people entered the school grounds holding various weapons and horse equipment. .

Afterwards, the strong princes of the Bharata tribe entered the school grounds, wearing armor, belts on their waists, hanging quivers, and holding bows. The heroic and extraordinary Baizi of Chiguo, led by Jianzhan, from eldest to youngest, performed martial arts on the school field one after another, which was amazing. Some spectators lowered their heads for fear of being hit by arrows, while others boldly raised their eyes and stared with an expression of surprise.

The princes galloped on their horses and quickly shot various shining sharp arrows marked with their names, and the arrows hit the target. (People couldn’t help but be amazed when they saw the army of princes holding bows and dancing arrows on the school grounds, looking like a celestial city in the sky. Hundreds of spectators opened their eyes wide in surprise, and burst into cheers.

The strong princes performed a complete set of archery performances in succession; sometimes riding a galloping chariot, sometimes riding on the back of an elephant, sometimes astride a horse, and sometimes fighting each other. Then, the brave and skilled warriors, holding swords and shields, performed a complete set of swordsmanship performances throughout the school grounds according to the routines they had learned. They wielded swords and shields, each of them was agile and skillful, graceful and steady, and had a firm grasp, which was a feast for the eyes of the audience present.

This was a show off by the hundred sons of Dhritarashtra, and the five Pandavas did not even show up, sitting back and watching them perform first. This is just the opening scene, the real focus of the next battle is now.

Vidura narrated all the actions of the princes to Dhritarashtra, the mother of Pandu's son (Konti), and to Gandhari.

Under the control of Dhritarashtra's uncle-in-law Shakuni, Master Drona's son Masasi decided who would fight with whom.

Ma Xi set up a turntable in the square, divided into two circles, inside and outside, with the names of all the princes written on them. The turntable is constantly rotating. When Ma Xi shoots an arrow onto the turntable, it will stop the turntable. At this time, where the long arrow is, the corresponding two princes will have a duel.

But Ma Xi had already taken refuge with King Dhrita's son Duryodhana. According to the plan discussed with Shakuni the night before, he shot Kaitian and Wuchang, the two younger sons of Pandu, and Duryodhana one after another. Hostile decision.

After all, Xie Tian, who wielded the double sword, and Wu Zhong, who wielded the ax, were still young and were not formidable opponents. They were quickly injured by him and left the field.

Next, there was a duel between Kunti's eldest son Jian Zhan, who wielded a spear, and Duryodhana who held a pestle. At the beginning, the fierce battle prevailed and Duryodhana was already knocked to the ground. But when Jianzhan turned around and left, Duryodhana attacked from behind again, causing Jianzhan to retreat seriously injured.

After that, Kunti's second son Bhanjun, who had always had a bad relationship with Duryodhana, came on the stage to face Duryodhana, who had already won three times in a row. Both of them hold large pestles in their hands, and both are extremely strong, like two hills with a single peak. The two men are also wearing armor and have thick arms. They want to show their majesty, just like two strong and vigorous male elephants fighting for their mothers. The two strong men held bright big pestles in their hands and walked in circles from left to right and from right to left, like two wild bulls.

Bijun is worthy of being the descendant of the wind god Vayou. He is born with great strength and madness, and almost strangles Duryodhana to death. Drona separated them, and Bijun voluntarily admitted defeat because he violated the rules of the game and also left the field.

After the game, his brother Jianzhan said with a weird smile on his face: "Why, Bijun, you also lost. It seems that the winner of this game will be difficult to defeat."

His two younger brothers, the extremely handsome Wu Zhong and Qie Tian, also showed kind smiles. Bijun said in a loud voice: "How is it possible? Victory can only belong to Arjuna."

When Bijun mentioned Arjuna, the other brothers nodded. Arjuna's martial arts was far superior to all of them.

As expected, the next name that Ma Xi hit for a duel with Jian Zhan turned out to be Kunti's third son, Arjuna.

But before Arjuna came on stage, when he reached the main entrance of the square, Drona's son Ma Si suddenly shot an arrow at the wall of the door. The elephant head embedded in the door collapsed like this. .

Arjuna had just appeared and before he could accept the cheers of the people, he was buried under the ruins of the elephant head.

This turn of events shocked and worried everyone who looked at Arjuna, especially Arjuna's mother Kunti, who couldn't help but shed tears of sadness, her body was shaky, and she was about to faint.

Ran Deng, who was standing next to her, hurriedly supported his mother. He took a quick look and found that his nominal brother A Zhou Na was fine.

Arjuna, who was in the elephant-head ruins, used his magical archery skills to block all the ruins and stones from him. Then he jumped up and walked out of the ruins. Xinbu had no effect on him at all.

Arjuna appeared, wearing leather wrist guards and finger guards, carrying a bag full of arrows, holding a bow, and appeared in gold armor. He was like a rain cloud at dusk, with a bright sun, a rainbow, and sparkling lightning. He first caught his mother's tears with an arrow and prevented them from falling to the ground. He then shot an arrow to pay tribute to the elders, and then began his personal journey. performance.

No one had ever seen such miraculous archery skills. The whole school immediately burst into excitement, and music was played everywhere, accompanied by the sound of conch trumpets.

"He is Kunti's auspicious son!"

"He is the central son of Pandavas!"

"He is the protector of the Kulu clan!"

"He is skilled in martial arts and is the most outstanding master!"

"He is a leader in upholding the Dharma!"

"He has a good character and is outstanding!"

"He is the culmination of virtue and wisdom!"

······

Just like that, Arjuna had just appeared on the stage, and the audience was full of praises. Listening to these words, Kunti's breasts were wet with tears and milk.

Beside her, Dhritarashtra's wife Gandhari and daughter Durosa were also happy for Kunti and Arjuna. However, when King Dhrita on the high platform heard these cheers, his face only turned gloomy.

All of this was seen by Ran Deng. He smiled and shook his head, speechless and speechless.
