Sarmatia, top floor.
The top floor is not filled with narrow corridors, crisscrossing pipes, and buzzing production lines, but instead consists of clean tiled floors and spacious and bright rooms.
Obviously, if the lower floors are for synthetic humans to pass through, then the top floors are for real humans to live and work. Everywhere you can see the unique human aesthetic and pursuit of the living environment.
As they walked in the elegantly decorated corridor, Eleanor used the mist of will to carefully explore the surroundings, but did not find any enemies.
Arriving at the end of the corridor, Mason pushed the door open and went in.
The door opened, no trap.
The room inside seemed to be a meeting room, and it was still empty. In fact, as they fought from the outside to the bottom floor and then to the top floor, they encountered only synthetic humans, and never any human from the Church.
A stack of documents was placed on the table in the middle of the conference room, with nothing else around it, as if it was placed there specifically for everyone to see.
The God of War Leopold walked forward, picked up the document, flipped through it, and said with a smile:
"It turned out that we were right to come here. This information is very valuable."
"Sir, can you tell me what the information is?" Ask asked casually.
"It's nothing to hide." Leopold said seriously, "The Vatican has 32 mobile drone hives like Sarmatia."
"Six of them have already arrived in Italy and are about to head north to encircle and annihilate the Emperor's coalition forces. Another 13 are on their way from the Mediterranean."
"We must pass this intelligence to His Majesty the Emperor as soon as possible, to prevent him from making rash strategic decisions without knowing the situation."
"Of course," Mason added, "after destroying the Sarmatian."
"I see." Ask immediately understood.
In other words, as long as this information is brought back to the Emperor's coalition camp, it will immediately increase the dukes' estimate of the strength of the Holy See, and there will be arguments to force the emperor to make concessions and withdraw his troops back home.
Seeing that the two demigods came to this conclusion so "naturally", it was obvious that they had a latent tacit understanding and consensus with the Holy See... In other words, at least the lords of the Duchy of Thuringia and the Duchy of Carinthia no longer wanted to continue to fight this war with the emperor.
Everyone went downstairs along the original route, and this time they did not encounter any enemies. To be honest, it was a very strange thing that the defense force inside a drone hive was so sparse, but everyone pretended not to realize it.
Arriving at the door of the energy room, Mason just put his hand on the door when his expression suddenly changed.
"Radiation?" Leopold asked immediately upon seeing this.
"The radiation is quite strong," Mason replied. "Perhaps this place was originally designed for synths only."
Radiation can penetrate and kill the cell tissues of living things, but for synths it doesn't matter as long as the surface is well isolated and painted. Therefore, the nuclear fusion reactor in the energy room is designed to be maintained by synths, eliminating the need for many anti-radiation devices.
"Then I'll leave it to you. Let's go first." Leopold said this, turned to the side, and split the wall with a sword.
