The Azure Longsword

Chapter 567: Unable to bear the pressure

Views:

Mia took off her protective suit, braces and gloves.

The moment she took off her clothes, the smoke gushed out from her various angled joints, even from the corners of her eyes and the intersection of her hair, quickly turning into the strange shape of a hound.

They stood firm in this world, and then they realized... that the people were gone

Mia was already running forward quickly, and the shadows under her feet were swaying like windshield wipers. No matter if it was a wall, a door, or a cabinet, the shadows would "swallow" it (teleport to the shadow world), allowing Mia to pass through safely, and then spit it out behind her.

This change caught the hounds off guard. Although their running speed in this continuous world is far slower than that in the discrete world (where it only takes about 1 day to travel 100 million years/light years), it is still not something that normal humans can easily get rid of.

And this young human girl does not seem to belong to the category of normal humans.

After a brief thought, the hounds began to split up, some chasing the little girl, and others catching the two boys.

As long as they mark their prey, they will chase it to the ends of the earth. This is the advantage of the discrete world over the continuous world - they have no concept of distance and length, they just keep jumping from one place to another.

"Smart!" A priest in the monitoring room suddenly exclaimed, "She just saved the two students in the room, thus distracting the hounds from chasing her, giving her more time to escape!"

The other priests also suddenly realized and began to say, "Yes, you thought the same as I did," "In fact, I had seen that a long time ago," and "This girl is the kind of smart girl who looks silly but is actually very cunning in private."

Bishop Chino's face became increasingly darker, until he finally couldn't stand the increasingly exaggerated boasting of these priests anymore, and he slammed the table hard, interrupting their flattering words.

The priests stopped talking awkwardly.

"Don't chat during working hours!" Bishop Chino scolded angrily, "Bishop Varian is waiting outside with his men. What's wrong with your frivolous mentality? You don't even monitor the program?!"

The priests turned their heads back to stare at the screen, while Bishop Chino was looking at the surveillance screen, gnashing his teeth in his heart.

Hurry up! Hurry up! Aren’t you hounds? Jump over and catch that damned little mercenary!

He almost clenched his fists as the hounds came to a discrete gap in time and space (that's how the program showed it), teleported to Mia in the distance, and then emerged from the sharp joints on her body.

Mia: !!!

She didn't expect that even though she had run so far, these hounds could still catch up with her

Seeing her panic-stricken expression, Bishop Chino's face once again showed a barely perceptible smile.

Alas, there was no other way... Run! Mia gritted her teeth and rushed out again.

When the emerging mist finally took the vague shape of a hound, they realized that the target had disappeared again.
